Update! I have now been going to see Rhonda at Lee Graves Salon for 11 months and I am so happy! Rhonda knows how to keep my hair the perfect shade of blonde, how to get the toner just right and she is the most thorough colorist I've ever been to. I have naturally curly hair and she does an excellent job with cutting my hair so my natural curl has plenty of length and depth to work with. Not only is she excellent at what she does, she is a joy to be around. I look forward to our conversations and always walk away so filled up and blessed by her. The salon itself is easy to find, offers plenty of free parking and is clean as well as welcoming. The atmosphere is bright and cheery and I'm always greeted with a smile. Even on a bustling Saturday it's not overly loud and the chairs are comfy too - that's important if you're going to be sitting for 2+ hours! I needed help with a bad haircut and Jocelyn did an amazing job, I got a lot of compliments! I had a 90's look layered haircut and the highlights were cut out at the bottom so it looked extremely damaged and different colors. I got a haircut that now looks healthy and styled. Went in for a consult with Liz and she was super helpful in helping me decide what to do with my hair after doing a test strand. Had gotten my first balayage in October and moved back to Plano since + wasn't super thrilled about how orangey my hair was. She ended up helping me to decide to go an ashy blonde/partial highlight with a haircut shortly after. Liz was so considerate in making sure the cut was exactly how I wanted! She was very meticulous and detail oriented when applying the highlights. She asked throughout the whole process where I wanted the color to start for each part of my hair. I really appreciate all the time and effort she took to make sure my hair would turn out amazing. She even took the time after having had blown dry part of my hair to touch up parts of my highlights to make sure they were perfect even though it meant having to rewash and redry my hair! I needed a new hairstylist, and I didn't know where to go. I noticed their location and thought it would work well. I asked for someone who was taking new clients as I needed color, cut and style. The front desk recommended one of their stylists and it turned out well. Just had my second visit and I will be back. My hair stylist Liz (Elizabeth) is amazing. Came in looking like a beat down bum with glue extension in my hair and in need of a retouch & treatment. Liz transformed my hair to where it needed to be. So thank you, Liz. My only downfall with the salon is the pricey cost of $110 for a trim. $55 for glue removal. $310 retouch w/partial highlights done. I've never had such an expensive bad experience that costs me so much money or time! My botched highlights from this place cost me $335 and 9 hours in a salon chair then I had to spend another $215 and 4 hours getting it fixed at Johnny Rodriquez Salon. The first photo is what I requested. The second photo is what I left with- platinum one dimensional blonde. And the third photo is my completely fried hair and splotchy highlights on my return visit. The stylist also dropped a 20 pound air dryer on my head. If that experience alone wasn't enough, the stylists heat up food so the salon smells of strong nasty odors. I couldn't recommend this place less. I had to go to the much more luxurious- and less expensive- Johnny Rodriquez in Legacy West who fixed my hair perfectly (last picture) after another 4 hours of correction and $215! The front staff at Lee Graves Salon is so unpleasant. When I reached out directly to the salon to share my experience and to give them a chance to make things right before I posted this review- they were beyond rude. In so many words said to F off. I'm fairly certain the high reviews on this space are from the young stylists sitting around doing their make-up and posting their own amazing reviews. Never go here unless you want your hair ruined and to be treated less than. Like self torture? This place is so for you. read more

This is a beautiful salon. The staff is very professional. However, beware of the price. I should've asked up front about how much a cut and color would cost... it was as much as my car payment!! So just know that going in... I paid more than I've ever paid... and was very shocked by the price.
