When I came in, I felt at ease. Hiro asked for what I wanted, and I showed him examples. My hair was an uneven blonde balayage before, and Hiro really took his time to even it out and tone it. He was very thorough and listened to what I wanted. I love my new hair! I'll be coming back again!

Clippers were used on the back of my hair, which I initially assumed was part of creating some shape, but there really wasn't any layering or noticeable effort to add movement or texture. The end result felt more like a basic cut than a thoughtfully shaped haircut. Considering the owner has been cutting hair for some time, I expected a stronger understanding of basic scissor techniques and layering. In my experience, the skill level just wasn't there for the type of cut I was requesting. Ultimately, you get what you pay for, and unfortunately I left disappointed.

I love this salon, and all the girls that work there! I was new to the area, and in desperate need of a new stylist when I found Illusion Salon (just down the street from me). The atmosphere is up beat, yet relaxing, and I love how all the girls interact with each other. Mistakes can happen--the way a business responds afterward says a lot. I wish Natalie had acknowledged what happened, taken responsibility for the salon's role, and made a genuine effort to resolve the situation. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this salon to do their research, ask detailed questions about the health and integrity of their hair before allowing chemical services, and document their hair before and after their appointment.
