My stylist was Minn, who was extremely sweet and fun to chat with. She asked me how much I wanted cut off and how light I wanted the balayage. Minn did a good job with my hair and I kept it simple. Just wanted to take off 6 inches and avoid any coppery/orange tones which she listened to. I usually like getting a lot of layers and am very specific about the color but didn't put her through all that. I really appreciated that my stylist understood that I don't like thinning out my hair (texturing technique) at the end...you can never have too much hair :) If you're looking for a good salon in Dallas, you need to checkout Capelli Salon. I tried here based on a Groupon for a balayage + haircut wasn't exactly the case ... turns out though the Groupon didn't mention it that only means frontal balayage . I had to pay extra $85 from the original $65 Groupon to do a full balayage on my 8 inch length hair ! It's extremely over priced ! They do offer a free cappuccino/wine or water but most salons do so not much ... though the cappuccino was a large portion. the atmosphere reminds me of Europe if you're into scenery for IG or something . When I was there a wedding party of 5 came for make up and hair so the only stylists were extremely busy and us regular people were very neglected .. I spent 5 hours at this salon and waited over an hour in between hair time. I will not be going again ! read more

The salon isn't huge but it's well-decorated, classy, clean and very inviting. You would think the salon would be in a more up-scale area and not next to a gas station but don't let the surrounding area fool you. I was pleasantly surprised. Kirsten was my stylist and was very understanding and offered her expert opinion to a hair newbie such as myself. She did a great job and my hair feels amazing. Before I left she told me that all day on Tuesdays and Wednesday they have a "Hair Happy Hour Day," where you can get a cut and deep conditioning for 25 bucks. Can't beat that. Moved to Dallas and was looking for a new stylist! I had a great experience at Capelli! The salon is clean, the staff is nice and professional, and I love my haircut. I only came in for a cut, but was cutting off almost 8 inches after a long year with COVID. My stylist was Minn. She was so sweet, and took a lot of time to make sure she understood what I wanted, triple-checked on the length and checked in multiple times throughout the haircut to make sure I was happy! Really loved her attentiveness and felt completely confident in my haircut! Haircut was $70 for a shampoo, condition, cut and blow out - no style just FYI. New to the area and came in because Capelli offered ecaille (aka. tortoise shell) balayage on their website. When I called for an appointment, was surprised the receptionist hadn't heard of it, but she checked with Morgan, a senior stylist, who assured her they absolutely performed them, so I booked with Morgan. At my appointment, Morgan greeted me and asked if I still wanted "that tortoise thing." "Yes," I assured her, "An ecaille balayage - listed as a specialty on your website. You've heard of it, right? And you can work with my curl pattern?" After a vague affirmative, Morgan requested a picture and then said stated, "It's just a caramel balayage and people use a bunch of names for the same thing. I can do it. Let's see what we're working with." She moved to my 2c/3a curls and proceeded to start brushing them out. Right then I knew, not only had she never heard or been trained on ecaille, but she also didn't have any experience with curly girls. That was my cue to leave. Being a curly girl, I've put years of time, effort, and money into taking exceptionally good care of my hair. No way was I trusting bleaching my hair to a stylist who lied about her knowledge and displayed a demonstrable lack of experience in my hair type. TLDR; Capelli Salon lied and misrepresented their abilities. DO NOT trust them with your hair if you are either a curly or seeking ecaille balayage. read more

Melissa always does an excellent job trimming up my long hair and long beard. I came to her a couple of years ago thinking I knew how to take care of my hair. Melissa gave me advice and suggested certain conditioning products and it's done wonders for how healthy my hair looks and feels. The salon itself is really nice, contemporary and stylish. One is made to feel very comfortable in their laid-back atmosphere. I've tried some of the best of the best products you can use for your hair that I found online and then I've also tried Capelli's version of those. Capelli's hair products that I have tried so far like conditioner, leave in conditioner, moisturizing oil are far superior to any that I found in my research online. I am so incredibly pleased with my hair! First off, I'm not a fan of salons. It's been a year since I last got my hair trimmed and if I could put it off longer, I would. But wanting a change, I stumbled upon Capelli and opted to do the Japanese hair straightening treatment. I could not be any happier. Younes is an absolute genius! Within 3.5 hours (time will vary), he managed to turn my lion's mane into a silky, polished work of art that is way more manageable. I can see why people come from all over the state to get this done. I did a ton of research before deciding to go with this and his professionalism and knowledge really put me at ease. Advice: If you're apprehensive, understand that it's not the treatment that can hurt your hair, it's the person doing it so get it done by someone who knows what the hell they're doing. I got the Groupon for the cut, deep condition, face framing highlights and style. While at the salon I opted to do partial highlights instead for another $45 and it was totally worth it!! My stylist, Amanda, was super sweet and attentive and did an EXCELLENT job on my hair. My hair was black and I was going for a subtle change to brighten things up a bit, and that's exactly what I got! I was so scared too since I had never colored my hair before. Amanda also fixed up my over-grown layers perfectly. The salon is super cute and hospitable. They serve beverages during the service, which is a nice touch. Best salon ever! I used to live around the area and had a friend who always came to get her hair done here. She always spoke so greatly about this salon! I decided to try them out and WOW! The owner is so wonderful and nice. I can say I have found my new hair stylist hopefully for life, Naseba. I came to get a haircut, and front balayage and a blow out. Every single thing about it was great! My stylist Naseba is so very patient and listens to every detail and request and understands so quickly and proficiently! Showed her some pictures of what I wanted and then she gave me the recommendation and was a perfect match for me. Before we even started she allowed me to see some of her previous work, through Instagram and I knew immediately that she did fantastic work! Haircut: she was super patient listening to all my concerns when it came to a specific haircut. I wanted layers but that were all put together and had a good flow, and I got exactly that. She cut the exact amount of layers with the precise flow of the layers, just wow! Loving the haircut and getting tons of compliments! I decided to go shorter than normal, which is unusual for me, first time actually... and I felt compelled to trust her, so I did! So glad I did! She even gave me a new part (middle part) which I never knew I could rock until now, and I am LOVING IT! Color: I told her how I am low maintenance w my hair and I want something that fits my lifestyle Bc I usually never do anything to it (very seldom). She saw the highlights I already had and decided the front balayage is what I needed, to achieve what I was looking for. It was PERFECT! The coloring was great, she knew exactly what she was doing... LOVED IT! And I also get complements from strangers as well as my friends on how great it looks! With both the haircut and the new front highlights it even looks like I got new highlights everywhere and that they look great, that's how awesome she is at blending old with new. Sssoooo amazing! Blowout: Blowout was wonderful! She did something new with my hair, the part in the middle and gave me tons of volume which is what I wanted! I couldn't stop smiling as soon as she was done styling my hair Bc of how different and wonderful her work was! Just wow! The blowout lasted me through rainy weekend and workouts. I loved the Capelli hairspray she used on me, so much that I ended up buying a bottle of it. So overall I give her a 5 out of 5. She is just so sweet, patient, and magical. She has a good vision of what she wants to accomplish once you tell her your concerns and desires for your hair, and she brings it to life! The owner Younes absolutely ruined my hair with color, cut off half of my extensions that I just had installed by my regular salon. I was referred to this him from a friend........ he absolutely ruined my hair & I have pictures I will post! I'm telling you as a friend and advocate for beautiful blonde hair going there is a huge huge mistake and if you tell Younes u didn't like his work or you were upset about it then he will cuss at you hang up on you and you'll never hear from him again! I'm still fighting him trying to get my money back after frying my hair & ruining my extensions. My hair was so damaged I had to wait two months to get my hair colored again and I've got to wait another 30 days before I can even put extensions back in my hair, so replacing my extensions cost me another $2300.00. Younes is an absolute idiot has no idea what he's doing.......it's a joke & the guy has no business presence whatsoever and should not be in the industry! I'm not finished with Younes and it's not over at the Capelli salon until everyone knows about this piece of TRASH!
