Update: Unfortunately when I arrived for my second appointment I was informed that Leslie was no longer there. I was scheduled to have my hair colored during this appointment and was reassured by the manager Claudia that I would be taken care of. My expectations were exceeded - I wanted my hair colored as close to my natural color as possible and with gray hair creeping in I was worried the color would end up looking flat. Claudia mixed a custom color for me and I was styled by Powla afterwards. This is the best hair color I've ever had and the styling was PERFECT! I ended up using my Yelp coupon to save 10% and will definitely be a regular at this salon. Had an amazing experience with my new stylist Leslie. She was attentive and most importantly knowledgeable. My hair is thicker when it is wet and curly however when dry it is thin and fragile. After a bad haircut last year I've been AFRAID of "trims". I was desperately in need of one and after having my hair blow dried and flat ironed I was impressed enough to let Leslie trim my hair. I am BEYOND happy with the trim. My hair is even and she didn't thin my hair out or cut too much off of the length. I'm booking EVERY two weeks like clockwork. I've been on the hunt for an amazing stylist- And I just found her !!!! ---- UPDATE ----- I've been coming consistently since my initial review and I am BEYOND PLEASED by the services provided by Claudia and Paulina !!!!! Overall, my experience at Juldan was fairly pleasant. Before arriving I asked for an estimate for how much a balayage on my hair would cost. I just sent in a couple of pictures of my hair and what I was looking for and almost instantly I was given an estimate for the price of the session. At this point my hair had been botched by a previous stylist when I asked for an ashy blonde balayage, so I guess you could say I was looking for a miracle. Now something to note about my hair is that I have fine dark brown Asian hair, and have only ever dyed my hair probably twice before this experience. The ends of my hair have always been naturally lighter than my roots just because I've spent a good deal of my time outdoors in the sun doing sports and such. Now for the actual review; the overall atmosphere was very professional and the stylists were very welcoming upon arrival. The whole process of consultation, dying, and drying was about 3 hours. And I have to say that the results was not what I was looking for. The picture I showed had an apparent ashy blondeness to it but my hair still showed no signs of blonde. And it wasn't till afterwards when I was spun around to see the actual results was I told that it would take 1-2 more sessions to make my hair as light as the picture. That's one thing that I would've liked to have known initially. Now I didn't realize the disparity between what I asked for and what I got until I went home. I'll include pictures for further demonstration. It was apparent that Vanessa did fix the streakiness and brassy tone caused by the other stylist, however I didn't see much of a difference in lightness besides a very obvious light streak in my bangs. I vocalized this concern with Vanessa and she was more than obliging to fix whatever it was. She did fix the streak in the hair however the overall appearance was still not what I asked for. At this point my hair has changed a bit, or as one friend said it "just looks like you've been out in the sun a while". Now for my final verdict I'd have to say that the results are merely decent 1. I wasn't made aware that I'd have to come in for additional sessions (which I can understand since I do have dark hair, but would have appreciated to know this beforehand) and 2. The disparity between what I asked and the results (it laid in stark contrast if you saw). I do have to say though that I'm happier that my hair was able to be fixed from it's previous state and appreciate Vanessa's patience, but I'd have to say plainly that there wasn't much of a transformation. read more

I had a "hair emergency" when someone from another salon screwed my hair up. I panicked and found this salon. I called after hours and they still picked up. She told me to text her a photo of what I currently had and what I wanted. Claudia did an AMAZING job and made me feel very comfortable with the fact that she would help fix my hair as much as she could to look good and as close to what I wanted. She was happy to take a look at some pictures of my hair as it was and also pictures of what I hoped to achieve.
