Kaitlyn is a master of her craft. For two years, she has been consistently perfect with my color, cut, and styling. She is a true 5-star professional. However, the salon's management and current atmosphere are a different story. Since the transition from Salon Bellus, the "upbeat and friendly" vibe has been replaced by a sense of misery among the staff. To then be blindsided by a 100% price jump to $500+ without any notice is professionally unacceptable. When you pay premium, luxury-tier prices, you expect a luxury experience. Instead, the Lewisville location is freezing, lacks basic hospitality (it's "pour your own coffee" here), and the overall image of the space doesn't reflect the cost. It is baffling to try and figure out what that extra money is paying for. I value Kaitlyn immensely, but the value of the salon experience no longer matches the price tag. I live in the Castle Hills area and had been wanting to try out Salon Bellus since my regular hairstylist moved farther away. I am so glad I finally tried Salon Bellus! I wanted short hair for the summer and a refresh on my balayage. Parker did a awesome job on my haircut, balayage and styling. She is very patient, careful, knowledgeable and really an expert. What I loved is how she treated me and made me feel. She is probably the best stylist I have had ever!!! I love the results and can't stop looking at my hair. Service and Atmosphere is excellent. Pricing is way over my budget. I had a great experience at my first appointment with Christina. She was friendly, professional, and made sure she knew what I wanted. I had a T zone highlight, with all over color/toner and cut. She worked quickly and efficiently. The color was great and the cut (which was just a trim) turned out great. She does a wonderful job. Even though I did thorough research on her level of pricing before booking, I was still shocked at the bill. With tip, it was $405. I've never spent that much before. If I break down her time - it took her 30 minutes to foil and do the all over color. Her assistant rinsed and toned my hair. She then spent 15 minutes on the cut and blow out. She was with me for about 45 min. Even considering product, I just can't justify the price. I realize I should have asked upfront what we were looking at for cost, but in my defense I never thought it would be that much. Live and learn I guess. I would love to have her do my hair again, as it is beautiful. But as a teacher, I cannot afford or justify paying $400 for hair. That is more than my daily rate. Make sure you know the price going in. Because even though they are in The Colony, they obviously have a very upper end clientele that can afford the pricing. Now I'm off to find a new hair dresser that I can afford. read more

Lexi was amazing! She definitely felt the vibe of the visit. Some chit chat here and there and relaxing silence for the most part. I arrived promptly at 0959 for my 1000 appointment. Checked in with the lovely red headed receptionist and she offered me a beverage. We sat down and Lexi confirmed what I wanted done that day. Three hours later I'm a beautiful little blonde butterfly ready for summer. I was honestly stunned at how much she matched me to the picture I showed her. Excited to come back! My hair is not straight. I have never paid $80 for my hair and I have never had to go back to the salon. Also my stylist asked me if my hair is straight... like you are a level 5 according to the website shouldn't you know. I am very particular about my hair and I told the stylist I was having anxiety about cutting it. Literally I showed her plenty of pictures of how I wanted my hair since I had that cut years ago. It's absolutely ridiculous all you had to do was cut straight across!! Also I let the stylist know I was tender headed and she kept pulling my hair. Was charged level 5/master stylist pricing, but received low level treatment on my newly highlighted hair. Went in for a full set of highlights, mind you it was my third time and third stylist because they have a high employee turn over rate, their employees don't last longer than a few months. The very last, and worst time, they informed me they were running a bit behind, no big deal I was understanding. After waiting for about 30 minutes I asked if I could quickly go next-door and order some coffee since they didn't offer me anything to drink, and they said NO! I finally got in the chair after waiting about 55 minutes. They told me I need to get some B3 reconstructive gloss with my highlights which they charged $100 dollars for and didn't bother to tell me the price before and the outcome was golden yellow highlights on the top and my sides were orange when I asked for ashy highlights, not to mention my hair felt like straw for the next couple weeks. When I told him they needed to correct it just 5 days later they told me that I was at the cut off and would have to pay full price. Seriously?? My total was $349 before tip for the worst highlights I've ever gotten. read more

Usually when I ask hair dressers to make me as blonde as possible, my hair still ends up looking dirty blonde (which is my natural color). My experience with Salon Bellus was amazing. All of the stylists are super sweet and supportive of one another. My stylist SARAH did an amazing job. I came into the salon with Box dye and Sarah gave me multiple options that I could do, with keeping my possible hair breakage in mind. Because I had box dye it had the chance to break or turn orange. But Sarah made sure to make me happy leaving the Salon. My hair didn't break and the color looked AMAZING. It's actually my favorite hair I've ever gotten... (which was super unexpected with the color and condition my hair was in) She was one of my top stylists I've ever been to and made conversation super easy.
