She listens to what I'm looking for and asks all the right questions. They are super easy to book (online) and have fair prices. I was open to a solid full color if matching my current color wasn't possible and perhaps a trim. When I called for an Anthony mentioned in reviews, I was told he's no longer here but the other ladies are experienced. I booked an appointment and came in over the weekend. I'll admit letting someone new do anything to my hair is nerve wrecking. I ended up spending 3 hours here and paid for a laundry list of services (color, partial highlight, low lights, toner, cut, blow dry). I was shocked when it was time to pay, $350 + tip totaling nearly $400. I haven't had highlights or low lights since high school! Maybe it's a thing here, I'm just not personally into it. I really like to keep things as natural as possible and don't like putting bleach or anything along those lines in my hair. I got home and cried to my best friend trying to explain I had stripes in my hair now and they look orange. My hair is naturally curly and not a lot of people know how to blow dry or flat iron my hair properly. I felt horrible that I was charged for a blow dry because as soon as I got home I immediately got in the shower to wash all of the product out of my hair, that was put in, in an effort to blow dry it. It wasn't sectioned and blow dried or flat ironed and it felt like a mess. It was also trimmed after this, so now that I've blow dried it and flat ironed it out there is a questionable section that appears to need to be trimmed. I typically get a dry cut after a Brazilian blow out so my hair is completely straight for it. I really wanted a Brazilian blow out until I found out that would be $350! I could have flown home to my girl in LA for my roots, and a Brazilian for less than this. Call me crazy but no hair appointment should be over $800. The girl who does my color, cut and Brazilian would loose her marbles if I told her this. All in all this just isn't a style or look I like or would want to pay to keep up. I feel like as soon as I need my roots done, it would be so obvious that I needed more stripes or whatever all of this is called vs just a solid root color. I'd hate to immediately go pay for a solid color to be put over the $400 service I just paid for but at the same time it doesn't feel like me at all. Although subtle enough (which again, why did this cost so much?!?) that most may not notice, I know that I never have this done to my hair. I saw a bunch of clients coming in which is great for them but this salon isn't going to be the one for me as often as my hair grows the price for services is just outrageous compared to what I'm used to paying. I like the solid dark brown sections and I'm completely confused as to how I had all of this excess going on when I specifically booked a root touch up or solid color and trim. Sometimes you feel a bit taken advantage of when things like this happen.

I added on the bay breeze cause I have really tangly hair. The shampoo and bay breeze all smelled incredible, but not overwhelming. Emily asked what I wanted, really listened to me, and delivered beyond what I was expecting! This is great for people like me that aren't great with hair, but want to look effortless for events. The only thing I would recommend is that they update their number. Both on yelp and Google there is a number that is out of service. You have to go to the drybar website and under booking the phone number that does work is there. But you have to dig for it. 214-509-5872 is the number that will actually connect you with the front desk. Highly recommend if you are looking for an easy effortless style! They also do dry styling, braids, and other hair masks that I can't wait to try out!

My hair were completely DRY but somehow the stylist claimed they were wet. I was surprised that the stylist found completely dry hair as wet!! She said she will have to do full service for $59 with shampoo/conditioner OR reschedule to another date/time ( which is RIDICULOUS as I have to be ready now not on a later date/time) As much she was wrong I still agreed to pay $59. Then she said while I will pay for the $59 service, she will only give 30 mins and do the dry styling. This completely knocked me off as they asked me to pay for $59 but will only give $30 service. Cancelled my service and walked out. Not going there again. Other Dry bars treat their customers much better.

Rubi was a sweetheart considering I was a few minutes behind from being a little lost in the area (new resident!). She immediately greeted me with a smile and offered a beverage prior to our appointment, was a doll/extremely personable throughout, and was patient as I shared with her on which color I felt would work best for my touch up. I'll be sticking with her as my hair stylist/colorist go-to for such wonderful service, but my results turning out perfect was the cherry on the top! Thank you Rubi!

I am trying to grow out all my color and needed a shorter cut to assist with this undulating process?! Luckily, I was able to find someone immediately to help me with this task-I was at the point of cutting off my own hair to accomplish. Luckily, Young was available and cut my hair nicely with a great style. I have white-gray hair at my temples and Young worked her magic to cover up my gray while growing out my hair naturally! She's amazing and I left with self confidence and a happy new hairstyle. I was even indulged with a relaxing, massage, neck massage and luxurious hair shampoo by the sweet guy that specializes in scalp treatment! He provided great advice on what shampoos to use and products for sensitive scalps!! I tipped him because this was a high end perk at a budget shop. Unfortunately, the haircut I received from the owner was very basic and not what I asked for. I even provided two pics of what I was looking to achieve- failed miserably. I was especially disappointed with the scissor work and overall technique. Clippers were used on the back of my hair, which I initially assumed was part of creating some shape, but there really wasn't any layering or noticeable effort to add movement or texture. The end result felt more like a basic cut than a thoughtfully shaped haircut. Considering the owner has been cutting hair for some time, I expected a stronger understanding of basic scissor techniques and layering. In my experience, the skill level just wasn't there for the type of cut I was requesting. Ultimately, you get what you pay for, and unfortunately I left disappointed.
