The layers were choppy, uneven, and completely unblended. It looks like someone just randomly cut into my hair without any real technique. I tried to communicate what I wanted clearly, even showed a reference photo, but the end result was far from what we discussed. It was disappointing. Would not recommend based on my experience.

To that point I had tried all the fancy men's barbershops and paid the $100 price and I could never find anyone who could consistently cut my hair. My wife recommended I use her stylist Mindi. I gave her a try and she has done a terrific job. She is also one of the most kind and caring people I have met. My wife has trusted Mindi for over 25 years at one point she drove 160 miles round trip when we lived in East Texas just to have Mindi cut and color her hair. My wife was diagnosed with Parkinson's 3 years ago and Mindi and the other ladies at this salon treat her so kindly and always lift her spirits when she comes in the shop. I cannot recommend Mindi enough as a stylist. We just love her.

My best friend's wedding, my trip to other countries, or just another week day and they make my whole week. I come in for a men's haircut. I have been to so many places and Haru Salon is the only one for me. I can trust them to do an outstanding job and leave me filling with confidence. I'll walk you through the process. First they don you with two capes and another item for your neck. Is it cold? They have a closet that warms up your jacket. Second they wash and massage your hair and your back in a massage chair. Next they cut your hair to your liking and walk you through the process - they will tell you what looks good and why. With the amount of meticulous care I've seen them take compared to anyone else blows me out the water. Another hair wash (okay this is new to me since I have never seen a second hair wash in the North) and styling, waxing, blow drying your hair. I cannot emphasize how much I love this place and will always return. Keep up the amazing work!

I see her consistently every six weeks, and the results are always exactly what I want. What I appreciate most is that she truly listens and does exactly what you ask--which, surprisingly, hasn't always been my experience with other stylists. She's efficient, fun to talk to, and very respectful of your time. Most importantly, she gets my color right. I prefer a light brown, and with other hairdressers my hair has often ended up way too dark--almost black. That has never happened with her. She understands tone and delivers beautiful, natural-looking color every time. If you're looking for someone reliable, talented, and easy to work with, I can't her enough.
