The drinks were a 10/10. The food was probably a 7/10. I would return specifically for the drinks. The espresso martini was my favorite along with the Mexican Caribbean. The service was great though, our waiter was very nice and checked in on us often to make sure we were okay. The vibes of the restaurant have like a jungle/Tulum feel, having vines on the walls. There is an upstairs and downstairs but a nice place to get pictures

Everything....was... so DELICIOUS! Even though we didn't have reservations they were still able to seat us. We came in on a Saturday and I can say i definitely want to come back. I am not a big steak person but the tenderness and flavors of the steak combined with the chimichurri sauce was amazing.

This is true hidden gem status! We first noticed how quickly the drinks came out, and they were perfect btw! The happy hour food items were so good we ordered four. Our rank order: 1. Wagyu sliders 2. Lobster tacos 3. Tuna tostado 4. Tyaluda nachos. They're quite serious about offering a unique culinary experience. Each dish was different and held to the Tulum theme. It has the feel of Mexico for sure!! We loved the couches and laid back atmosphere. The waiter, Aiden, accommodated us with a nice couch to relax on. He was so personable. Wonderful evening. Highly recommend for any occasion

This modern Mexican spot in Turtle Bay is a hidden gem in the city. Walking into the restaurant, the stunning decor transports you to Tulum and the vibe here is perfect for a nice group dinner or a date night. Service here is fairly quick and timed perfectly as you enjoy each of your courses. For appetizers, we got their guacamole and tuna tartare which came with these thin chips that I absolutely loved, and sauces that paired so well with each dish. We also got their quesobirria, which was absolutely phenomenal and I could've ordered another one with how delicious it was. And, we got their short rib for our main to share with elote on the side, and I'm so happy I got it. The short rib was so tender, soft, and flavorful. And, the corn paired so well with the dish. Wish I had room for dessert to try more of their menu, but I left very content with everything we got. Highly recommend you to check this spot out!

I rarely leave bad reviews, but this experience genuinely disappointed me. I arrived on a Friday around 8pm without a reservation after seeing availability on OpenTable, but the hostess could only offer me a corner table behind the host stand. I didn't mind -- I just wanted to eat. However, after nearly 20 minutes of being completely ignored, with no greeting or even a glass of water, I had to go to the bar myself just to get a drink. I ended up leaving annoyed and actually bummed because I wanted to take my family here April and I didn't want to believe that one guys review about the only thing this place has going is its atmosphere.

Tán was such an amazing experience. Stopped by for my 30th birthday and was blown away by their service AND food. Besides them being completely full and booked, I was still well attended. My wife & I ended up finding a spot at the bar area (which they have a lounge seating area). Celeste and the rest of the staff were great. It's truly a taste of Tulum and will be back when I visit New York again. Make reservations online or call to avoid disappointment.

We came here for a 70th birthday party. I came on a Sunday so there was street parking available. There is a parking garage across the street on 49th. The restaurant is beautiful with lots of great decor. Downstairs is dark with tables and a bar. Upstairs has a large open room with a nice bar. There's a small outdoor area with a few tables which is where we sat. It looks like there is heat lamps above for the colder months. They offer a brunch menu. I'm not sure if it's all weekend or just Sunday. The staff were all great from the minute we worked in. The food was really good. The only reason I gave them a 4 star rating is because they ran out of a few items like regular Coke and coffee. Not sure how that happens but it is what it is. The presentation of all the food looked great. The guacamole with the corn tlayudas were amazing. It was a nice starter. I had chicken enchiladas which were great. Lots of flavor and honestly just looked delicious. I tried some of the Quasabirria which was also very good. The shredded beef had lots of flavor. They give you a few sauces to complement it. We had Concha con Nata for dessert. It's brioche pan dulce, whipped cream and fresh berries. It comes out warm which makes the berries taste sweeter and syrupy. Overall a good experience and would come back.

Beautiful decor as soon as you walk in. Made a reservation prior and was seated quickly. There are 3 areas where you can dine, bar, main dining area upstairs or the terrace. Started off with a hibiscus margarita which was very good and flavorful & Presented nicely. Had the queso fundido & quesabirria as appetizers. Both good options but favored the quesobirria. For dinner had the Tikin-Xic Fish & the pulpo adobado. Both excellent options. We were given tortillas to enjoy with our main courses. The plantain pureee was so good and part of both dishes. Every dish was presented beautifully and with a explanation by the waiter, who was very knowledgeable in the dishes background. Each bite full of flavor which made the dining experience pleasant. Overall service was great and to top it off we were given a complementary dessert for our anniversary. Would love to come again soon.

Ummmm literally delicious, and not to mention the ambiance is so beautiful and vibey without being cringe or cheugy. We shared the churro French toast for the table and WOW. Perfect perfect perfect. Mahi Mahi tacos were good as well! Definitely recommend as a brunch spot and reservation was easy to get on a Sunday!

The vibes at Tan are high. This is very much a spot for the girlies to come out and do their thing. We saw a ton of girl groups dressed to the nines and having the best times. The drinks were tasty- my mezcal drink came in a smoking box. I'm a sucker for theatrics. Take my money. The ceviche Amarillo was delicious and the mole type sauce on the pulpo entree was nice and rich, not spicy at all. I actually think the latter could've had a bit more kick to it. The servers were busy but no issues. Overall would recommend for a fun night out!

I hit Tàn for brunch yesterday and walked into what felt like a slice of Tulum dropped right in the city. Think jungle-chic meets lowkey bougie, with plants, textures, and music that made it impossible not to vibe. The woman I was with kept mentioning how much she loved the aesthetic, and she wasn't wrong. Went with the classic move, chicken and waffles paired with bottomless margaritas. Solid choice. Juan, our waiter (shoutout to Juan), mentioned his favorite was the hibiscus margarita, so I gave it a shot and yeah, he wasn't lying. Easily the best drink I had all day. Floral, smooth, not too sweet. Drinks flowed, the energy was perfect. If you're trying to brunch somewhere that feels like a mini escape with good drinks and solid service, Tàn's the move.

A trendy spot serving up elevated Mexican eats, complete with a nice ambiance -- the seafood was solid. Tuna Tartare and Shrimp Ceviche were delicious, Branzino was really unique. The desserts (Corn Cake, Oaxacan Lava Cake) were a standout! It's a relatively unassuming midtown spot, but I enjoyed it.

Great restaurant. We came here for a bottomless brunch and to our surprise the food was also bottomless. The ambiance is great for brunch and I can only imagine for a date night. The service was good as they were promptly replenishing the drinks. Definitely recommend!

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

We ordered: Nachos - they were ok Fried calamari - overly salty, slightly fishy, and COLD Chile relleno - underwhelming, lukewarm Hibiscus pomegranate iced tea - tasted like grenadine water. Zero pomegranate or hibiscus flavor. Also, different prices between brunch and regular menu. We were charged regular menu price. Overall, super underwhelming and not worth your time or money.
