We chose this place for brunch, as it was close to where we needed to be. My friend has been to their other location and said it was good. We had reservations and there was a party ahead of us at the entrance. No greeting or acknowledgment from the hostess upon entrance (red flag). She seated the other party and very lackadaisically returned to her booth to finally acknowledge our presence. She seated us with menus but no brunch menu even though it was still brunch time. I had to ask the waiter for it. Took a while to get order in. We ordered two apps and one entree to share. Took even longer for our food to arrive. We ordered: Nachos - they were ok Fried calamari - overly salty, slightly fishy, and COLD Chile relleno - underwhelming, lukewarm Hibiscus pomegranate iced tea - tasted like grenadine water. Zero pomegranate or hibiscus flavor. Also, different prices between brunch and regular menu. We were charged regular menu price. Overall, super underwhelming and not worth your time or money. Chipotle would've been better than this.

Took my friend out for some birthday drinks and nachos the other day. Nice service and on Mondays they have a menu of $5 margaritas!!

I walk by here all the time but finally stopped in for dinner. My friend made a reservation and thank god he did! I didn't expect it to be so packed as it was. We were seated in the back room - I didn't know they had a back room. We got: - Margarita - frozen Aperol spritz - Ahi tuna taquitos: it came with 4 servings and these were tasty! - birria tacos: it came with 3 tacos and dipping sauce. I found it to be flavorful and filling. - seafood/chicken enchilada: my friend liked this and got Mexican rice on the side. Our meal came with complimentary chips and salsa. I had a great experience and was pleasantly surprised by how much I did enjoy my meal. Our server was great too.

Went here for lunch my husband choose this place because he love Mexican food. We had order a share meal the parrilladas. Very delicious. The steak and chicken and grill chorizo was perfectly cook. We also had a michenllata cocktail. I would come back to try more on the menu. The ambiance was very comfortable and peaceful the waiter was very attentive and pleasant.

Overall, the evening turned out well and the food was excellent. The three of us ordered fajitas and honestly could have shared one or two because the portions were generous. Everything tasted great. Our server was warm, patient, and genuinely welcoming ....the kind of service that makes you feel like you're being hosted in someone's home. He was a highlight of the night. Unfortunately, the experience didn't start that way. I had made a reservation through OpenTable and could clearly see it confirmed on my phone, but the host said she couldn't find it in their system. I completely understand that technology glitches happen ....that wasn't the issue. I was simply trying to show her the reservation so the restaurant might be aware there could be a connection issue between OpenTable and their system. Even after I explained that I wasn't arguing with her, just trying to point out what the customer sees so it could be helpful to the restaurant, she continued to respond in an argumentative way and kept repeating that they didn't have it. The point I was making seemed to be completely missed. Instead of acknowledging the possibility that something might be wrong with the system, the interaction became unnecessarily defensive. It set a negative tone at the start of the evening. Thankfully, the excellent food and our wonderful server completely turned the night around. Because of that, I would absolutely come back. I do hope, however, that the restaurant can help the hostess find a more pleasant and customer-focused way to handle situations like this in the future.

I was happy to find same day seats here. The location is very convenient. The food servings are generous and the dishes are so fresh and tasty. Easy to find enough to eat that's fresh- I don't like being weighed down with fried food. The restaurant is comfortable, colorful, and a great place to stop on the way to the Metropolitan Museum. We enjoyed eating a full meal that wasn't too heavy before taking on a day in the museum. My only regret is that I couldn't try one of their cocktails that looked so tasty. The staff was wearing little ear pieces to communicate, they don't mess around with their communication here. I really enjoy seeing staff who really cares about efficiency. It makes me feel safe in my dining experience. It's Somehow I remember the bathrooms were fun, but I can't recall now in what way I guess you'll just have to stop in and see for yourself. Go for the cocktails!

We had dinner at Rosa Mexicano. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! We had Fajitas, and Enchiladas. The hibiscus-promagrate tea was fabulous. The waiter gave me a special dessert and everyone sang happy birthday to me. The place was beautifully decorated.

Food is ALWAYS delicious and the service always appreciated. Ee eat a clean diet so my mom's go to is the skirt steak chimi churri. My favorite go to is the traditional ceviche, the other two ceviches have sugar in their mix. We always do a double guacamole, the ingredients are fresh and its made tableside.

My friend and I got lunch here yesterday. The chips and salsa are good and so was the queso dip. We also enjoyed the egg and sausage breakfast burrito and my friend got something with avocado and egg I think, which she liked. A lot of food and I found my meal a bit salty but still delicious. Courteous staff, quick service, and super fun decor. Bar, booth, table seating, and outdoor seating as well.

We came here for brunch and had such a positive experience. We had come with friends that had a baby stroller and they were so accommodating and willing to move us to a bigger booth so we could fit the stroller more comfortably. Service: service was fast and efficient. We didn't feel rushed to order and they checked in on us the right amount of time. Food came out reasonably fast. Ambiance: the vibe here is great. It's well decorated and comfortable. You could easily bring a date here or a group of friends. The booths are also very comfortable. Food: They start you off with complimentary chips and salsa. The salsa is really good, it's well seasoned and not spicy. I highly recommend the guacamole. It comes freshly made and they let you pick the spice level. Their medium spice is actually medium spicy so I appreciate that consistency. We got the black bean and cheese empanadas and they were really good. I do think it needed a little more salt. We also got the mushroom enchiladas with red sauce. I love how they roasted the mushrooms. The red sauce is also really good. Drink: we got the cucumber refresco. It was really refreshing and not sweet. The mocktails were also reasonably priced, less than $10. Price: the price of dishes is very reasonable especially for the amount of food you're getting.

Mini Frozen Margarita

This place deserves a way higher rating! The happy hour is great. The mini frozen margarita and complimentary chips and salsa were a perfect way to start the evening. My friends and I loved the enchiladas (I had the seafood ones), the tacos, and the tableside guacamole. Service was outstanding at both the bar and the table. The vibe is fun too!

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

I didn't see any but saw buckets for umbrellas. I opted not to leave it there since I didn't wanna forget or risk someone taking it. I took it upstairs with me. My friend had arrived and was seated. Apparently, they do offer sleeves because she got one. But the 3 people who were at the hostess booth failed to offer me one. The beautiful ambiance will get your attention immediately. It is a stunning space. The tableware was gorgeous as well. We waited for our last friend to arrive who was almost half an hour late before ordering (we thought she'd arrive sooner). Our server, Matias was gracious about it the whole time. What we ordered: Drinks: Passionfruit Margaritas & Mojito - we were happy with them. Tlayudas, Guacamole y Salsas - this was really good and a great option for the table to share. The homemade chips alone were excellent. Liked all the different dips. Guac could've used some cilantro and more acid/spice. Tán Ceviche - I loved this. Super fresh and great flavor. Could use a touch of acid. My entree was the Shrimp & Crab Enchiladas - This was pretty good. The sauce could've used some spice and some acid to cut through the richness. My friend ordered the Yellow Corn Soup as part of her meal and she did not like it. She said it was too sweet which I thought was strange. I tried a spoonful and I agreed with her. It needed a savory note and again, acid would've done wonders. Also, the crab was a bit fishy in this. She enjoyed her tamal though. I tried a touch of the sauce and it was delish. My other friend had the Quesabirria which she was also happy with. To sum up: Ambiance: 5/5 The space is undoubtedly gorgeous. Food: 4/5 Beautiful presentation on everything but each dish lacks an element or two to make it a home run. Staff: Wait staff 5/5. Downstairs staff (greeters/hostess) 4/5. Needs to be more on point like offering customers sleeves for umbrellas or pointing out the buckets to put them in. At some point through our entrees a group of 3 women were doing a 10-minute photo shoot by the stairway where our table was. Absolutely inappropriate behavior and a manager should've stopped it. Camera flashes all up in our faces while we're eating wasn't cool. Overall, still a great elevated Mexican cuisine option. The slight tweaks would make this a 5 star place for me. I'd return to try more things.

If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. The food was fine, appetizers were all fresh but lacked any real depth in flavor. I wasn't too thrilled with the bone marrow I had either (but the tortillas come in the cutest basket). Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.

The menu has a long list of items and they are all reasonably priced. Our Server, Maria K., did a wonderful job throughout the meal and we were never rushed to leave our table. We started with a glass of Modelo draft beer and a Golden Margarita. The beer was served in a large glass and the Margarita was strong and well presented. Tacos are a great selection for Happy Hour and all of them (fish, chicken, carnitas) were well seasoned, the optimal amount of spiciness, and wrapped in soft shells. The Street Corn was DELICIOUS. The creamy sauce made each bite a delight and the Tahin just added to the enjoyment. When I went to the restroom, I noticed that the restaurant was very full and the low hum of the customers made the ambiance uplifting.
