I try to go every time I'm in NY. It's a great spot and busy even at 5pm on a Monday. The bar was standing room only. The restaurant was a little better and almost full. Food, as usual, is very good, light and tasty. I love everything from the menu. Little gem salad is perfection. Coffee, cocktails are spot on. Ambiance is upscale, dressed up, Equinox and wall st. I love that the entire place was designed without any art work. It's all shapes and textures. Waitstaff is fantastic, accommodating and can handle a cantankerous octogenarian easily. I had a reservation for the outdoor terrace but it was super windy bc it was going to thunderstorm soon so luckily I moved inside and was able to find a seat at the bar The electric lemon cheeseburger was SO GOOD!! It was perfectly medium and the addition of the horseradish aioli added the perfect kick. The fries were skinny and extra crispy, just the way I prefer my fries. I would come back in a heartbeat for this!!!!! The octopus was also really good but I wish it had a little more char to it. I liked that it was paired with hummus and Aleppo. The Aleppo oil had a super mild spice level I was mega disappointed with the roasted Japanese eggplant and I would not consider ordering this dish, if you are considering it. It lacks flavor. Being back in town we decided to try again and this time had patio seating. The views are amazing but it was pretty windy. We ordered clams, sliders, crab, flatbread and the lemon spaghetti. Everything was ok but the lemon spaghetti was the best. The drinks were delicious. We had the plum and the lemon cake for desert. We came here for a happy hour. There's a surprisingly small amount of indoor seating, and if you don't have reservations, you're kind of out of luck getting a seat. The rooftop was closed for "weather" even though the weather was fine. It was just a cloudy day. The Grande Sour cocktail (código reposado, banane du brésil, lemon, egg white) was good. Cocktail prices are pretty average for NYC ($25 for this cocktail). I split the Electric Lemon Cheeseburger with someone. The burger had a lot of flavor, but I probably wouldn't spend $32 on the burger again. Overall, I was bummed that the rooftop was closed. The best place to celebrate New Year's Eve. From the minute we walked in, my friend and I were greeted to really friendly and attentive staff that immediately got our coats checked and settled to our table. Our waiter gave great recommendations for drinks so I got the big apple martini and in the cloud while my friend ordered an electric lemon martini and high line rouge. We both agreed the high line was the best out of the 4 for flavor alone. The sirloin was cooked perfectly with a lot of flavor and the potatoes went nicely with it. The potato flatbread and lemon spaghetti were alright, but didn't pack as much flavor as the tofu starter. Best dish we both loved was actually the carrots side because we couldn't get enough of the sauce. Ambiance was great with a little more high end and the views were everything. What a wonderful experience. This has to be one of the best views in nyc. One of the best restaurants with a view and intricate architecture that features photo ops at every turn...making it a standout spot for both dining and taking in the scenery. Also perfect for those Instagram-worthy shots. It's definitely an influencer haven, but also a place where you can casually sip on a drink and soak in the vibes without any pressure. The dishes are on the pricier side but truly elegant in flavor and presentation. While I wouldn't necessarily return just for the food, I'd definitely come back for the drinks and the overall atmosphere. The first time I came here was for a Valentine's Day special 5 dining course in which I tried oysters for the first time, that had caviar on it. Very fancy indeed for my first time haha. But I did determine oysters still aren't my thing. Maybe only if I could have it as a delicacy like that again. It's my go-to for rooftop season, great drinks, and beautiful views. The cocktail list is varied with boozy, sweet, and perfectly balanced options. Golden Hour is my favorite. Don't let the beets scare you, as the flavors come together in this smoky, slightly sweet way that just works. They have plenty of food options and, more importantly for me, plenty of vegetarian options. I have had the lemon spaghetti and the tofu, and I never leave without ordering the polenta fries. The lemon spaghetti is a good portion, cooked nicely in a light, creamy lemon sauce. The tofu is good when you mix all the sauces together, as the tofu itself is not seasoned but really comes together with the sauce and vegetables. The polenta fries are soft on the inside but lightly toasted on the outside, with great flavors and textures. Similar to the drinks, they are all solid options, but admittedly I come here mostly for the vibes. The service is consistently good as well. I need to make time to dine in. read more

Brunch Option! Electric lemon was incredibly disappointing. Venue looks great, and decor is upscale dining. Known more for their Garden and dinner dining. They have a very small bar with a fireplace on the right side. First offense is the tea, it was extremely watered down and I suspected the teabag might have been reused because the pot wasn't that big. You can even tell from the picture it was watered down. Also it had a funky taste which could be the water they used. AVOID, $7 could be spent on anything else. Another issue is when I ordered the eggs benedict and ordered the smashed and fried fingerling potatoes. I don't have a picture of the side BUT the waiter did not bother to tell us the fingerlings were already included in the eggs benedict! We told them it was our first time too. You also get the same sauce that was incredibly bland. Just no flavor to the potatoes that felt like it was reheated. Eggs benedict was good but the wait staff was speed walking. Rushed to our table and the presentation of the eggs benedict was ruined. Would be fine if it was a diner but this isn't. Presentation of the food and the experience of a quality establishment were NOT here. The ONLY item worth getting was the pretzel bagel bomb, that was where I saw Electric Lemon shine. It was new, packed with flavor, and incredibly delicious. If you are here to try, get that at least. The benedict flavor was good but nothing special. Sandwich was really nothing special either. It was okay and I feel like you can get better. Issue is that you have to rate this place on a higher scale for what they want to offer / present. If it was a diner no problem, but it isn't. Had an amazing evening tonight for early father's day on the rooftop drinks which extended to dinner. First it's a gorgeous place to just relax as evening approaches. I saved Electric Lemon for my final meal while in the city, and it would be appropriate to say that I saved the best for last.* Hostess Kristel (I'm so sorry if I butchered the spelling) remembered me from the previous evening when I stopped by for an inquiry, and I was seated in the dining area facing the outside doors when I requested somewhere on the quiet side. Of course this didn't last but I was grateful for one of the end seats anyway, and since it was well after 1p, it wasn't too crowded. I pretty much knew I wanted the Electric Lemon Cheeseburger, and although I have seen this photographed with Polenta Fries (an additional $12), I stuck with the regular ones that come with it. I opted for the horseradish aioli on the side. Dealing with a couple of servers, my initial one was a little hard to find but another came by to take my delayed drink order of Passion Spice (non-alcoholic), and we ended up having a nice conversation about the city. This burger was REALLY GOOD. Prepared just how I wanted, cut in half, I savored this for a while. I had to smile when the couple next to me placed their order...for two burgers as well after checking mine out. The drink was okay; I could have probably just done a ginger ale and been fine with that but I just felt this burger needed a good beverage to go with it. Fries were the same shoestring fries I had from room service the night prior, and I utilized the ketchup and a little of the aioli. Service was very good; especially the busboys, who were very pleasant and were prompt with removal of items and refilling water. Every night of my stay, this place was packed; I recall looking over the restaurant from the hotel lobby seeing all tables full, so I know they are doing very well. Being under the Starr Restaurant Group certainly doesn't hurt either, as they know how to do things right. Even though they dominate Philadelphia, they certainly don't slack here, and New York City isn't easy to impress. If you don't want a burger, they have plenty of other items, most of them leaning on the healthy side which I tend to avoid, but I'm here to tell you that burger was worthy. *okay, my best and only cheeseburger this trip, that is, but one well worth returning for! read more

"Bougie" as my 21 yo daughter called it. Upstairs in the "famous" Equinox hotel and gym. Fabulous cocktails, a vibrant crowd (in typical winter black) entertaining staff, DELICIOUS not pretentious menu (try the crab appetizer). We came here largely for the rooftop views but the outdoor terrace was strangely closed. I've been to plenty of rooftop bars that have heaters and are still open for cocktails, so that's why we lost a star. Our reservation was for dinner in the lounge, but be forewarned, the lounge tables and chairs are super low to the ground; Being 5'10 and 5'8, we felt like Alice in Wonderland balance on mushrooms! Our seater graciously found us a respectable table in the dining room. Very fun festive establishment, young, seemingly professional crowd as you clearly need to be established or out for a special occasion to not let the prices be an issue. I really like this restaurant, ambiance and all. Having brunch here on a Saturday morning was truly amazing. For one thing, the service was absolutely phenomenal, and my interaction with everyone was superb from beginning to end, hostesses to waiters, servers and all. For food and drink, I had flaxseed pancakes and turkey bacon, and a cortado. My friend had the spelt bread toast with scrambled eggs and pork bacon (breakfast sandwich). She enjoyed her food, so on a scale of 1-10, I give the food an 8.5 for taste/value. We sat on the rooftop which has a nice view of the west side and since it was the perfect day outside, it wasn't too hot and sunny nor too cool. Honestly, it seems like the place is kind of underrated with the beautiful views, great food, and high-end service. I highly recommend it and claim this as one of my favorite spots. read more

Ok, not amazing. If you're fine spending $100+ per person (without alcohol) for "ok" then this might be the place for you. It could also be the place for you if you're a wannabe influencer on a first date as I spent most of my meal involuntarily eavesdropping on an incredibly loud conversation between a woman who wouldn't shut up about traveling to various countries and being allergic to shellfish and a guy who wanted to sound like he was a sommelier but only knew four kinds of wine. Her date (who didn't have a passport and also didn't order wine) ordered crab, maybe to get her to go into anaphylactic shock so she'd stop talking, not sure. I do know she had an Epi pen... Anyway, I walked in on a Saturday night around 7:40 and had no issues getting a table. Probably not a great sign, but I had gotten into town earlier in the day, was exhausted, and didn't feel like leaving the Equinox. I ordered a bottle of sparkling water, the Tuna Tabouleh, Duck, and then got dessert I got the "Citrus". The wait staff was excellent, and I really enjoyed the decor and view, but I had to stare at it for far too long as it was more than a half hour before my tuna showed up. If I was there with someone that would be ok, but I was dining solo so it would have been nice if they had sped it up a bit to get me started. Timing aside, thankfully, the tuna was excellent. If I came back, I'd order it again, maybe just get two orders and skip the rest of the meal. The Duck was cooked well internally and tasted great, but the fat wasn't rendered properly, leaving it chewy and difficult to cut through. The pears that came with it were very nice, but I wish there were more of them. The "Citrus" desert was a pretty hard disappointment. It was really 3 totally distinct deserts, 2-3 bites each, and none played well with each other. It should have, but it just didn't. My favorite was the little lemon curd bit, but I could have done without the sherbet and olive oil cake, both of which were largely flavorless. read more

However, this time on 4/11/26 at around 3:45pm sat at the bar for a drink and some oysters with some friends and the service was disappointing. The server was not attentive, seemed annoyed and not at all friendly. I'm aware it is a scene but it is not that serious and the service could have been much better. I'm usually so happy spending time here but not this time. I will be back and I will always recommend to come here but this was a bad afternoon. read more

Hostess wasn't friendly. I had a reservation and they made comments about my party, however we were all present at the time of seating. The waiter asked if I wanted tap water but I informed them I already ordered a bottle of still. The water came to the table open and wasn't opened in front of us after I ordered said bottle of still. There were inconsistencies in the comments from different waiters and it felt very unwelcoming. I brought my mom to celebrate her birthday and it was not the most welcoming experience as it felt like judgment was being made about us from the time we stepped off of the elevator. The absolute stunning location and picturesque The receptionist was very kind and helpful as we insisted on sitting outside she suggested to go out and check if we would be able to sit for long as the wind was gushing at noon. I will start off by saying how excited I was to eat that this restaurant as I've kinda been an Equinox junkie for years. I like the style and cleanliness of the gyms. We originally were supposed to have drinks and dinner on the rooftop deck, but my cousin didn't get out of work on time. Most restaurants are nearly impossible to get a reservation at last minute in the city, but we were able to get a reservation within three hours. We sat down and we ordered a Scarlet Sky and a glass of prosecco ( my cousin literally only drinks Prosecco). The Scarlet Sky was an interesting drink which I actually liked. My cousin wasnt too fond of the pour of her glass of Prosecco because it was $25 and the poor was quite small. We ordered the tuna tabouleh, little gem lettuce, and cauliflower flatbread. One thing we noticed with a lot of the dishes was lack of taste which is understandable as the restaurant is located in a luxury gym hotel. The tuna tabouleh was different, but all the different flavors paired really well. I do douse everything I eat in lemon, so that helped. The little gem lettuce salad was fresh and refreshing, but lacked a lot of flavor. It seemed that if it had a little more dressing and salt/pepper combo it would have done the job. The cauliflower flatbread was okay. It was the dish that lacked the most flavor, but yet again, it was a cauliflower flatbread. The polenta fries were tasty and the texture was awesome. We couldn't figure out what the sauce was, but it tasted like a mayo barbecue which wasn't the worst, but we thought a nice marinara sauce would have fit better. Last we had was the pasture raised chicken which was cooked to perfection. It was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, but it lacked taste and was almost tasteless. I'd expect the juice to add to the dish, but it also was tasteless. Overall the food was good and I could tell the quality was there, but even if they put some salt and pepper on the dishes, they would taste so much better. The dinner was $260 and for that price we expected a much better dinner. The ambiance of the restaurant was beautiful. It was located on the 26th floor with views of Hudson Yards. The decor and design was very inviting and honestly beautiful. The bar area was set up well and they had a fireplace that created a vibe. The server we had that night wasn't the most fulfilling. He visited our table a total of 3 times and when we would ask for items he would never return. If they fix their recipes I believe this restaurant would do so well. Plenty of other cocktail options to choose from. Seating is limited upstairs though mostly reserved. So sadly had to stand the entire time we were there...the not fun part. Make reservations if you plan to dine there... there is a bar inside as well. Be prepared as it's not an inexpensive place to dine. Saw a lot of instagram etc folks taking pics and videos for the sites... Restrooms are inside and unisex. There are a few of them - each with their own doors. Elevators are confusing as is is dark inside...only 1 set of elevator banks will lead you back to the lobby. Good luck finding your way back downstairs! read more

Came here on a Friday for a girls night dinner. We sat outside and you really cannot beat the view and ambience. The bar was pretty crowded, but we had a reservation so the table was fine and away from the crowd. Our server was very friendly, accommodating and helpful. The only annoying part was there was constantly people coming outside to have a whole photo shoot. I don't even think that they were dying at the restaurant and they were obnoxious with their flash, taking videos and pictures. The food and drinks were good although I would say the drinks were better than the food. I really enjoyed the beef, tartar, octopus, and polenta fries. The lemon pasta is something I would skip as I think it was too dry. Burger was just a standard burger nothing special, but it was definitely tasty. We tried their citrus dessert which was a combo of olive oil cake, and lemon citrus ice cream. This is something that is one of their most popular dishes so felt it was a must try and it was definitely unique.
