I'm a regular at the West Hollywood location. This location has the same menu and food items tasted more or less the same. The ricotta with honey was amazing as usual and the kale salad was great. As for the fiorentina steak it came medium rare like I wanted, however the new york side was a bit tough for my taste but still good. The filet mignon side was great. The potatoes it is served with were amazing. Service wasn't that good. We had a reservation but had to wait an extra ten minutes for our table. Getting our waiter's attention was a challenge, service was slow overall. When the mains came, my father's pizza did not until another 10 minutes later, no apology or acknowledgement. I think they were under staffed, it was not the quality of service I'm used to from Cecconi's. read more

Went here with coworkers and had a stellar experience. Service was fast and the bar stools were notably comfortable! Such a fun old school space. We shared a pizza, calzone, and salad. This is how a brand got destroyed. Unprofessional staff and certainly dangerous kitchen. Tried this place in LA and London and it was great. NYC is a complete disaster. Everything we had was bad--nothing tasted fresh. The vitello and beef tartare were especially awful, like they'd been sitting way too long. My wife and I both felt sick after. The kitchen here is mediocre at best and makes people sick. I do my part and contact nyc doh tomorrow.... Close the place before somebody got intoxicated. Had a delish brunch here last Saturday. My hubs had the pancakes and Eggs Benedict. I had the ricotta appetizer and the eggplant ( this is my death row meal) The eggplant at Cecconi's is the BEST EVER and I'm Italian and have had my mom's ( pssst don't tell her LOL.) I had the gelato for dessert. YUM!! The hostess was so nice and the waiters were very attentive. Cute place too. I wanted to check out the other restaurant at the hotel, but it wasn't open. This place tries to position itself as premium but is far from that. The food is below average. Out of all our dishes, not a single one really did it for us. The hamachi crudo was completely overpowered by citrus, the tagliatelle was oily and bland, and the truffle risotto was extremely salty. This restaurant was off target on every single dish - an impressively negative accomplishment. The only part of our meal that was satisfactory was the dessert and drinks which were both delicious. You're better off going to a Rosemary's, La Pecora Bianca, Roey's which will be half the cost and the food will be much better. My fiance and I ate at Don Angie the day before we went here which was less expensive (surprisingly) and way better. It shows you how there's level to the Italian food scene in NY and Cecconi's is much closer to the bottom compared to the top. read more

I went for breakfast from a recommendation from a coworker. I was absolutely blown away by the level of service and early morning ambiance that Cecconi's creates. Stephanie, the host, is bright and cheery. Regardless of your mood she will turn your day around in the best way. Rolando, my server, was just as incredible. He is someone who is truly dedicated to his craft and knows what you need before you need it. Excellent staff all around and you can't help but be impressed by the collaboration across the team. Blueberry compote pancakes made me come back a second time and the chicken sausage was the best I've had to this day. I own a coffee business and their barista definitely knows his way around the machine, I was taken back to Italy with a very classic cappuccino. Sometimes you don't realize how much you miss the small details when you eat out but this team helps you to remember. Rolando invited me back for lunch, and I will definitely check it out on my next trip in. read more

Walked in with a warm welcome on a wintery evening after a long cross country flight. The Martini No 2 delivered quick and tasty antidote to that discomfort while I enjoyed the fresh and vibrant kale and avocado salad before the hearty rigatoni bolognese and rich cacio de Pepe arrived. My criticism revolves around the waitress staff. Let me be clear, the waiters/servers weren't bad as in they ignored, or treated me poorly. They simply were too close, and at times seemed like they were listening to our conversations, which violates the privacy of costumers. For the customers sake, I'm begging you to please train your employees to give costumers room, during time at this restaurant, we didn't have room to breath. If I could give Cecconi's zero stars, I would. This was by far one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had in my life. Not only was the service unbelievably rude and dismissive, but they also scammed us out of extra money for a "minimum" that we were NEVER informed about. When we tried to order more to reach that minimum, we were told our table was closed - yet we watched as they continued to serve the table right next to us without an issue. It felt like they were purposely trying to squeeze money out of us while treating us like we were a burden the entire night. Absolutely disgusting behavior from a restaurant that claims to be classy. Cecconi's at the Ned Nomad falls flat compared to its London counterpart at The Ned London. In London, this restaurant is in a grand location, has dim mood lighting, live music and this je ne sais quoi that makes you feel like you stepped back in time. In New York, it is much more of a hotel restaurant with bright lights. The food was good (no complaints!) but it's quite expensive and without the special ambiance, I don't think it commands the cost. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Allow me to take you through our journey. I'll begin with a pro, the lovely women working the hostess stand were absolutely delightful. It was once we got seated that our night took a turn for the worst. It all started with our waiter, goes by the name Juan, he was despicable. Immediately after getting seated it was nothing but rush rush rush, before cheeks could hit seat he was asking what I wanted to order. Then, in a responsible manner, he asked for my friend's ID when ordering a drink. While yes, she has a "baby face," she is of age and provide sufficient identification, but even after that he treated her in a disrespectful manner as if she were trying to pull one over on him. He still served her nonetheless (shocker). Proceeding this, he made assumptions about what she would like to order based upon her racial appearance, I had lost my appetite at this point, and tended to our table as minimal as possible. We thought our experience would reach its lowest with our service, but when our food finally came out (after an hour and every table around us had been cleared) the bar dropped from the floor to 6 feet under. To begin, the Brussel Sprouts were merely warmed, not cooked, making it impossible to bite through. And for my orecchiette (the special of the night) it was hard. Flavor of the sauce, good, edibility of the actual pasta, non-existent, would have been better off snorting pixie dust and making my way down to the gentlemen's club to find any sort of pleasure. Finally, it was time to pay, and this buffoon had the audacity to treat us as if we were in temu sets pulling ones out of fucci bags. Needless to say, you're better off wasting your money giving chump change to the homeless crack fund. At least that way someone would be enjoying something. read more

It's not hunger. It's strictly business. Cecconi's was located at the Nomad New York Hotel. It all started when my wife and I were walking towards the Flatiron Building from the Empire State Building and she was getting hungry. I scoured the area for restaurants and passed one where looked very busy, but I spotted Cecconi's. I walked inside the Nomad lobby and noticed they had plenty of tables. It looked like a fine dining Italian restaurant and decided to have lunch here. We were quickly seated and provided menus. My wife ordered something off the menu, Spaghetti with meatballs, and I ordered a salad with a bottle of S.Pellegrino sparkling water. The salad on the menu stated it consisted of butter lettuce, sprouts, avocado, and tomato. This restaurant was so nice and elegant with white table clothes and very attentive staff. It definitely was a NYC hidden gem. There also seem to be a hidden room behind a curtain perhaps where the Italian high rollers dine. We were provided with some pita-like chips and they tasted so good. Soon our meals were placed in front of us. My wife was in awe of her giant meatballs nicely placed around the spaghetti. My salad was nicely presented and stacked full of green foliage. It had large crisp lettuce gently placed in a circle. The rest of the ingredients all complemented very well giving the whole thing great flavor. We both had a wonderful experience here at Cecconi's Nomad New York. read more

It's posh in its own right, but a stark difference in size from the Dumbo location. Drank: Southern Tier beer $9 The menu is a mystery- only boldened items available. Very limited, not a fan. I ordered the mountain Margherita and it was sooo amazing , but a bit light on the alcohol for how expensive it was. The price is really the main downfall of this place because nothing is overly spectacular, but nothing is bad or flavorless so its hard to say.... but i dont think the price is proportionate and it is quite expensive to eat here. All of the main corses were good, I enjoyed the chopped salad and a flat bread which was not too greasy which is hard to do with truffle and goat cheese so i was impressed by that. Let down! I am not sure why this place was recommended to us. We went thinking we would have really tasty Italian food but we ended up getting mediocre service from our waiter and sub-par food. Our hope was to visit the Dumbo location, but we ended up at Broadway and they were accommodating. The ambiance was decent, the location was good, however the bathroom was in a creepy spot and I can't get over how rude our waiter was. It felt like we were being rushed the entire night. The food lacked dimension and when we asked for salt, the waiter said there was no salt in the restaurant. He ran around the restaurant looking for a dispenser with a few grains and after the third dispenser, we gave up. The three folk in the bar staff were pleasantly in control, attentive at the right time, and friendly - they went the extra to find the drink I was after, and a lighter too.
