Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. Great breakfast options. The hotcakes are amazing! The cheeseburger was recommended by the staff but wasn't very good. The lunch options are served on paper plates if that bothers you, but we didn't mind. For breakfast 5/5 For lunch 3/5

    A sausage biscuit.

This is a diner with a small town feel. Tammy assisted us and she was very attentive. It was busy and so our food took a little bit of time to arrive. The food was tasty and as expected for a Diner. We will be returning.

I was sad to hear they only serve chicken and waffles at breakfast. WHYYY??!!! Please add this to lunch and dinner. Our waitress was on point. Super friendly and refilled the sweet tea before it got halfway. I ordered the famous fried chicken and was pretty happy with the food. The baked potato was fine, it was just on the smaller size (4inches long it was literally the length of my size 6 lady finger). Mac and cheese was good, It did have some black spots but I chalk it up to coming in a 730pm. The roll was bland would not recommend. My fiance ordered the BBQ sandwich and onion rings. He is particular and was also very happy with his food. The other thing I would say is consider changing the hours. Closing at 8pm is insane, at least 4 tables arrived at 745pm! I say this because I know the competition is Martinsburg Family and that is open 24/7 I would reconsider the hours. I'm certain since the food was good you could justify a 10pm closure time but I'm just giving an opinion. I'd still go back.

I will say that it's been about a year since I last visited and the place appeared to be well taken care of and cleaner than I remembered. During our trip in July 2026, we walked in and was immediately greeted by the hostess, Rylan. She seemed a little flustered about not having a supply of fresh silverware for give to us, and we had to wait for them to bring her more. She was apologetic for the wait and seemed genuinely embarrassed, but we assured her that it was ok and it wasn't her fault. Once we were seated we were greeted by our waiter, Jose. This guy was a rock-star! Customer service was top-notch, and he was extremely friendly. I ordered a plate of Loaded Cheese Fries to share with my son, as we weren't very hungry. When the food was brought to our table it was hot and delicious, but the fries cooled down fast and became stale-feeling. But, to be fair, I suppose that's what happens when you load refrigerated dairy producted on top of hot fries! The men's bathroom was very clean and well kept, and the booth seats were very soft and comfortable. Other than the fries cooling down way too quickly, I have zero complaints and would recommend this location to my friends and family!

It wasn't busy, so we were seated immediately, and the service was friendly, attentive, and never overbearing--thanks Mike! The interior feels like a cross between an old country store and a classic small-town diner. There's a counter with stools, booths lining the opposite wall, and additional tables toward the back. The building definitely shows its age--which makes sense given its location in historic Leesburg. The men's restroom is tiny, and the dining room was a little chilly (something a few other Yelpers have mentioned), but with the humidity outside, it wasn't a dealbreaker. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. We ordered an Americano, a waffle with scrambled eggs, and the country fried steak with sunny-side-up eggs and hash browns. Everything was delicious. The Americano, made with locally roasted Cafe Kindred coffee, was excellent--good enough that I may have to stop by their Falls Church location and pick up a bag of beans. The country fried steak was generously smothered in gravy, with plenty left over for the crispy hash browns. My eggs were just a touch more cooked than I prefer, but they were still runny enough to mix into the hash browns. My wife's waffle was enormous, and she enjoyed every bite. The portions are generous, the prices are very reasonable, and the overall value is hard to beat. After reading some previous reviews, I'm glad we visited during a quieter time. Between the comforting food, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive service, Leesburg Diner delivered exactly what you hope for from a hometown diner. We'd gladly stop in again the next time we're in Leesburg.

They do a great job of refilling coffee and tea in the afternoon. That's rare. The food is good, and so are the portions. Not too huge, but enough to forgive a good friend for stealing a bite. As always seems to be the case, this place is run by a restaurant group, because I have yet to see a small independent establishment pull this nonsense. Food is passable albeit not great. Just note that in the name of "transparency" the prices are hiding the actual costs behind this fee. If you want to round it out to 20% with a tip, at least the fee tells you exactly how much that is. I have to assume the 10% fee is going to increased wages because that's what I82 is about. If the restaurant group is pocketing any of that balance then they are just stealing from their staff, which might explain why the staff is not upfront about the rationale for the fee.

Joe's Cafe in Sterling is one of those places that keeps people coming back--and after one visit,…read moreit's easy to understand why. It's a favorite among locals and regulars, with the kind of old-school diner charm that's becoming harder to find. The first thing you'll notice is the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The booths and dining chairs are some of the most comfortable you'll ever find in a diner, making it the kind of place where you actually want to linger over breakfast and another cup of coffee. The owner has an impressive collection of military challenge coins and patches displayed throughout the restaurant. What makes it even more meaningful is knowing that many of them were personally gifted by service members and first responders, adding a genuine sense of appreciation and community to the space. Now, the food--it's simply tasty. If you're having trouble deciding what to order, the Joe's Breakfast Platter is the perfect solution. It gives you a little bit of everything, and the staff makes sure every item is prepared exactly how you like it. From your eggs to your hash browns, they'll ask all the right questions because they know what they're doing. The Eggs Benedict is another standout. The hollandaise sauce is rich and creamy without feeling overly heavy, letting the flavors shine without overwhelming the dish. And for coffee lovers, you're in good hands. The coffee is bottomless, and the attentive staff somehow always seems to know when your mug needs a refill before you even notice. You'll rarely see the bottom of your cup. What really sets Joe's Cafe apart, though, is the people. The staff is genuinely friendly, attentive, and treats everyone like a regular, whether it's your first visit or your hundredth. It's no surprise Joe's Cafe has earned such high ratings. Great food, outstanding service, a comfortable atmosphere, and a true sense of community make this one of the best breakfast spots in Sterling. If you're looking for a classic diner experience done right, Joe's Cafe should be at the top of your list.
