I came here for breakfast with my family since it was the closest location to where we were going afterwards. This location is great as far as plenty of parking and room within the establishment. They also have plenty of outside seating for a decent sized party if you wanted to enjoy the weather. That's pretty much all of the nice things I can say as far as it goes because this location lacks customer service quality. At least the majority outside of the actual manager on duty. He actually came to the table, asked if everything tasted fine and gave my kids some stickers. Hey it's not much, but that is good service he gave even though the place was busy. Now let me be clear, not EVERYONE at this location was/is lacking customer service. The server we had took their time to check on us, and wasn't just the warmest. It was just pretty much borderline average service. Which is rare, because each location I've eaten at, I've always received good to great service. Now I don't expect chick Fila type service but at least seem like you're happy enough to deal with your customers. Even my wife mentioned that it felt "off". I really wanted to give this place a higher rate because of the nice manager, but the visit was just too average and lacked a welcoming vibe. Overall a 3.5 if I'm being honest. Really, really good breakfast place! Senior you're on a Friday morning, and the place was hopping. I had a steak and eggs breakfast bowl. It was fabulous! Decent amount of steak, great potatoes, eggs were perfectly done over easy. It's sprinkled with Mexican cheese and a green sauce and some wilted spinach. BF had a traditional breakfast, and he said it was really good. Very generous amount of potatoes. A nice touch was how they left a thermos of coffee on your table so you could refill anytime you want, as well as a carafe of water Service was friendly. My only suggestion for improvement... The place is very very noisy. The acoustics are just really bad inside, and so it's hard to hear your dining companion. We actually ate outdoors, which was very pleasant, except we were seated under a speaker, and the music did not need to be that loud. The food is always so satisfying at First Watch. My personal favorites are the lemon ricotta pancakes and the farmhouse hash. Their drinks are also really good: the iced coffees can be a little on the sweet side, but that's expected with the cold foam and flavorings. The juices and seasonal sips are great, but the portions are a bit small (the cup size plus the amount of ice). The service is always different; sometimes it's slow, sometimes it's fast. However, they're almost always welcoming and kind. They're usually very busy for brunch, so if you don't like crowds, try going around 12:30-ish. Stopped in for brunch today with a friend. I joined the waitlist online and checked in with the host when I arrived. Check in was simple and we were seated relatively quickly after checking in. After we were seated, we were offered coffee and given both a regular menu and a specials menu. I opted for the tres leche french toast which I enjoyed. I will say that I had ordered an iced coffee which was forgotten on my visit. BUT our waitress was super apologetic, took the iced coffee off the check, and even made me one to go! Came in on a Sunday, and boy was it packed! I had "gotten in line" for a table online with an estimated table availability from 45 minutes to an hour and 15 minutes wait time. I was hoping for a 45-minute one to an hour wait time, but they did end up seating us a little over an hour and 15 minutes of the estimated wait time. It wasn't that big of a deal really, but I was a little bit impatient because I was starving. The staff were really friendly and calm, especially during a really busy time. I appreciated the staff's patience while I was a little bit hangry! They were quick and pretty good with the table turnovers as well. The dining area and the tables were all fairly clean even halfway through a busy Sunday morning and a full dining area. The only thing I would've liked was to have been checked on a little sooner after getting our food because I needed my water to be refilled. It took me a couple tries to get our server's attention so I can ask for more water. It's a great spot for breakfast or brunch for small or big groups. It wasn't too loud when we had gone even with several families with children. There is a bar for people who prefer and for people who like to eat alone, too! My mom ordered the chickichanga; my dad had the smoked salmon fritata and seasoned potatoes. I chose the Works Omelet with seasoned potatoes instead of the greens. I loved my Works omelet and my parents enjoyed their dishes as well. There was only one thing that we didn't like: my and my dad's potatoes were a tad bit too salty for our taste. The place feels open and bright and clean. That being said I just do not understand why they can't nail it consistently at the prices they have. --FYI, I was going to give this place 3 stars until I got the bill--- After hearing MULTIPLE times in a foodies group about FW, I decided to bite the bullet and join the waitlist on Saturday. We walk in and told we had to wait 10 more minutes, yet walk-ins were given tables right away. What was the point of joining the list if it's basically irrelevant? Anyways, we got to the table and our waitress immediately said "coffee?" and started pouring it. We reluctantly said "sure" and added the creamer on the table to it and looked at the menu. The coffee wasn't good at all -- very acidic and burnt tasting. We thought, "well, it's complimentary, right?" WRONG. It was $2.99 A PERSON. If we were told it would be a person/per container, then we would have reconsidered. It wasn't even on the menu to order hot coffee. I ordered the red medicine drink (cranberry, pomegranate, black tea, honey)--this drink was REALLY good. Refreshing, holiday themed, and perfectly balanced. I got the cinnamon chip pancakes and the hubby got the million dollar sammy. I asked for an over medium egg and before I could say what meat I wanted, she left. I assumed I'd get bacon since that's what the picture had online. I wanted to flag her down because I wanted to make sure that my pancakes weren't topped with strawberries (I have a severe allergy), but she didn't come back. I looked online again and saw there weren't any so I let it go. Food took forever and we were anxiously waiting the hyped up food. I looked at my plate, and I got sausage. I ate it because I was hungry, but it was frustrating that I didn't get to choose. Our waitress wasn't even the one that dropped off the food. I cut into my pancakes as she dropped off the syrup (yay for real syrup!) and almost choked on how dry they were. I had to put so much syrup on it to eat them. I knew I couldn't send them back because they were almost closed (it took that long) and I needed to eat. My egg was not over medium. It was over easy. I thought I could be picky about how I ordered my egg since they were a breakfast place, but they got it wrong. I also only got ONE crusty pancake and my dish was $12. Unreal. She didn't check on us until we were almost done. My husband said his sammy was good but he thinks he probably got my over medium egg on his sammy. Waitress dropped off the check, clearly tired, because it seemed like she was THE ONLY ONE THERE. I felt bad for her. She was snippy with the table next to us too because they asked for some extra toast and she gave it to them for carry out because "they were closing." I get it, but we are still paying customers.
