When in Leesburg a trip to Buford's Biscuits is always on the menu! While it was busy, my husband and I didn't have to wait long for a table. I tried the Bless Your Heart and my husband got the country fried steak biscuit sandwich. Surprisingly the mac n cheese on the bless your heart was so fresh and delicious. You can taste that everything was made fresh using great quality ingredients. Truly great place to eat, I can't wait to come back.
Did I find my favorite place to eat in Leesburg? Maybe I did! I first discovered them while they catered a local event, so I had to visit their HQ. The only downside is their hours are pretty limited, so you have to get there while you can. The dishes are upscale versions of classics. "Upscale" may be the wrong word, because it implies "fancy". Rather, think of what happens when chef takes on what should be a simple meal like 'biscuits' and makes it their own. I originally just wanted to try those biscuits, but when I saw those fried green tomatoes, those had to be on my list as well. The biggest challenge is what to order. I've had their 'cathead biscuit' before, but went their namesake dish instead. Next time will be their chicken sandwich.
The Mac and Cheese here is excellent and the service is great! I think next time I visit I'd try something else as I wasn't the biggest fan of the whistlestop

One cool thing to note about Buford's is that they source a lot of their ingredients from local farms, so by dining at here, you're supporting a lot of local businesses. I tried the Bless Your Heart which came topped with gravy and a fried egg. Was it a little messy? Yeah, but who cares! It was really tasty. I also had the Cure which has mac and cheese and fried chicken. You can get the fried chicken spicy if you'd like. My verdict? Buford's Biscuits has huge biscuits at a reasonable price, served in a welcoming atmosphere. This is a great brunch spot in Leesburg. Ambiance: Just like you were right at home. It's simple and perfect for enjoying your brunch. There's also a rooftop dining area that would be great to enjoy your meal on a sunny weekend day. Parking: There is a parking garage a few blocks away. It fills up on the weekends, so you may need to park in the parking lot a bit further down.
It looks like I have tried Buford's Biscuits way back when they were located in a different building, but I never reviewed them. So when I was back in Leesburg on two separate occasions in the past few months, I was really looking forward to going back. However, both times, they were closed, despite their own website saying they were open. This was maddening to say the least. I would normally put that as a tip, but since Yelp has removed tips, here is my short review.
Stopped by this cute little eatery this morning for a nibble after a local appointment. Hubby is a sucker for a good biscuit so logically the name drew us in. Ambience was airy and quaint and staff super friendly! I ordered the Southern Philly and it did NOT disappoint! The "sandwich" consisted of shaved beef ribeye, provolone, caramelized onions, mushrooms all together in a sumptuous cheese sauce was piled high between two ginormous homemade biscuits! It was far more food than I could ingest in one sitting which means.... leftovers! I tested my husband's order as well - he got the restaurant week special - it included deviled eggs, a mimosa-adjacent cocktail that included vodka, prosecco and some sort of pink juice (strawberry, watermelon, not quite sure), and another "sandwich" The Low Country" (fried chicken, pimento and hot honey sauce, sandwiched again between two huge biscuits). Service was prompt and the meal was a 10/10! We'll be back sooner than later to try more of these tasty offerings for sure.
I did a to-go order on a Saturday morning and ordered the Lowcountry. The meal was pretty good and was prepared quickly. The staff was very friendly, and the interior is quaint and nicely decorated.
OMG this place is biscuit heaven. I had the Cathead Biscuit with gravy flight. The generous size of the biscuit, the amazing texture and delicious taste puts any other biscuit restaurant out of the competition. I couldn't decide which of the three gravies were the best. The sausage gravy was as good or better than homemade; that includes my gravy which I have always used as the baseline. The mushroom gravy was so surprisingly flavorful and delicious. I originally wondered if it would be good::: it was incredible. The chipped beef was a REAL question mark for me as I recollect the same from my time in the military. OMG was I wrong. It was flavorful, smooth, flavorful. Amazing. Why go anywhere else for breakfast??? Those of us that tried the cocktails added their very positive comments. I had the coffee which was good. Not to forget the service;;; Friendly, efficient, five star. Home run and congratulations to the owner for excellent staff and wonderful dining experience.u

I recently had the time to go to Buford's biscuits and I was not disappointed. I've been wanting to try this spot for sometime now so I'm glad I got the opportunity. I ordered the cure for pick up. The sandwich was fantastic. The biscuit was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The Nashville hot chicken wasn't too hot (I wish it was seasoned a little bit more). In total the sandwich about $19. I think it was worth it but if it had a side the would be most reasonable. Definitely glad I tried it.
Overall my experience was great. I didn't expect the portion size to be huge. Every bite was a mouthful. The service was very good. I loved that the server put the receipt in an old Anne of Green Gables book. I had the opportunity to scribble in it which was fun. The ambiance was giving country vibes but overall it was cute. I'll be back whenever I'm in the area.

Buford's Biscuits absolutely lives up to the hype. If you're a biscuit lover, this place deserves a spot on your must-visit list. We stopped in on a Friday morning and were pleasantly surprised by how quiet it was. We were seated immediately, which gave us a chance to take in the restaurant's charming farmhouse aesthetic. With its high ceilings and rustic décor, it feels like a modern take on an old country farmhouse that's warm and inviting without feeling overdone. As an unexpected bonus, we happened to visit during Restaurant Week, and the special was an incredible value. It included a Buff-Mosa, deviled eggs, and the Low Country Biscuit. My wife ordered the Southern Philly, so we ended up sampling a little of everything. The Buff-Mosa was a refreshing way to start the meal. Made with Blue Ridge Vodka, Cava, and strawberry-watermelon juice, it was light, crisp, and not overly sweet. The deviled eggs were topped with bacon jam, which added a nice savory touch. They had a bit more mustard and horseradish kick than I'm accustomed to, but they were still delicious and packed with flavor. The real star, though, was the Low Country Biscuit. It was absolutely enormous, stacked with perfectly fried chicken, chunky pimento cheese, and hot honey. The chicken was crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the combination of the rich pimento cheese with the sweet heat of the hot honey was outstanding. The honey added just enough spice to complement the sandwich without overpowering the other flavors. I also tried a bite of my wife's Southern Philly, and it was fantastic. It's a creative Southern spin on a classic Philly cheesesteak and one that's definitely worth ordering. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our meal. One fun detail I really appreciated was that the check is presented inside a book, a small touch that fits perfectly with the restaurant's farmhouse theme. Between the outstanding biscuits, generous portions, creative menu, and excellent service, Buford's Biscuits delivered a fantastic breakfast experience. There are still plenty of menu items I'd love to try, so we'll definitely be back. read more

We were greeted warmly as we walked through the door. The hostess seated us immediately and the waitress came over right away. However, the waitress walked up to our table sniffling and wiping her nose. The last thing you want to see is a sick server helping you. And I don't know if it's because she was a little sick but she was not friendly. I asked my companion if he thought she seemed unfriendly and he agreed. And although our food came out looking really good, we chatted about how our dishes tasted, and both of us were kind of lukewarm about them. It felt like each dish was relying too much on what went on the biscuit for flavor and the biscuit itself was bland. That was really surprising since that's the entire theme of the restaurant. I don't know if it was an off day and they forgot to add salt or something, but even the leftover biscuit that I had the next day was bland after the second try with it. A colleague had actually recommended this spot to me so I was overall surprised by our visit. I'm not sure if we'd give it another try. read more
My husband and I stopped in on 6/6/2026 while in Leesburg, VA for the day. This was our first time here. We made it in about an hour before they closed which was great because the crowd had already come and gone. We were promptly sat at a cute two top table in the second room off the entrance. The restaurant in beautifully decorated and you can tell all of the buildings are super old and historic. My husband started with a banana cocktail which he enjoyed and then had The Cure. I had the Baker's Biscuit with a side of mac and cheese. All of the food was delicious but you definitely have to fork and knife the biscuits because they are so large. Buford's Biscuits did not disappoint!!! The food was so good! I ordered the Baker's Biscuit. The fusion of flavors, starting with a thick southern biscuit-with honey butter, enhanced by Canadian bacon, and chef kissed by Tillamook cheese-tasted so good. My friend had the Breakfast Sandwich with a gluten free biscuit (per request). We left no crumbs. The service and hospitality even better. ADA accessible (from side entrance). The scenery of the establishment was very pleasing to my eyes. Very well thought out decor. Art in the bathroom that reflects equity (see picture below) I will be going back. read more

This place is quite the quaint experience. I wasn't sure what to expect, but it's a nice spot, very relaxed. Starting with the basics, the biscuit is very good. They're big, tender, and fluffy. They hold up to the dishes, but are still light in a way. I had The Cure: biscuit, sausage gravy, Tillamook cheddar, fried chicken, and a poached egg. A nice balance, though the breading likes to slip off the chicken once it starts to absorb the gravy a bit. My wife had the Bless Your Heart. It was the biscuit, Nashville hot chicken, pickles, and mac & cheese. The chicken is a little spicy and peppery, but still maintains a good flavor. There is a lot of mac & cheese. The pickles are a nice balance and quite vinegary. Staff was friendly and attentive. I'm curious about the cocktails, but it was too early the day we went for breakfast. read more

Best biscuits in the area! Between the two of us we've probably tried every biscuit sandwich but surprisingly I love the simplicity of the bacon and egg on a cathead the best. They have a rooftop which we've sat at with our dogs (stairs are back and around the side) but the inside has a great ambiance with mismatching tables, chairs, etc. The checks coming in books is a nice little touch. Now I would have to recommend passing on the mimosa flight unless you like syrup-y mimosas. They were far too sweet for us. Will stick with coffee and an orange mimosa next time, but may come back for one of their cocktail events. read more

You know it's going to be good when the line 5 minutes before opening on Sunday is long enough to seat the whole restaurant upon opening. Specialty drinks were great and typically priced for brunch. Catshead biscuits were perfectly cooked and loaded. Love that you got to pick your own coffee mug and fix it the way you wanted at the coffee station. I have never said this but one of the coolest parts is getting the check. They deliver your tab in an old book that you are encouraged to leave a note in! My favorite was the Nashville Chicken biscuit!! OMG! It's so big but so delicious!! The biscuit, the chicken, the flavor! Like a party in my belly!!! The service was A1. We sat at the bar and Layla was so pleasant! Created the best bourbon espresso martini for me. They should definitely add it to the menu!! The cookies were warm and delicious!! What a cute and charming place in the heart of Leesburg! Large space with plenty of room and tables. We got there at 9am on Sunday and there was a line to get in. We were second in line and seated immediately. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful. We had 2 breakfast biscuits, 1 whistle stop and one Nashville. Everyone enjoyed them thoroughly! The biscuits were fresh and delicious and the portions were quite big. We weren't sure how to eat them...knife and fork? Big bite? Cut in half? No matter how you choose to eat your biscuit sandwich. I've been eyeballing a visit to Buford's Biscuits for some time now. I finally managed to find a time for a breakfast visit. There is not much street parking available, so I parked in the Town of Leesburg parking garage just around the corner. I sat at the bar and was promptly approached by the young lady working the joint. I ended up ordering two breakfast items - because they sounded so good! I ordered the Gravy Flight and a Bacon, egg, and cheese breakfast biscuit. Buford's makes these huge biscuits called "Cathead" biscuits. The Gravy Flight includes one of these massive biscuits, with 3 gravies: Sausage gravy, mushroom gravy, and chipped beef gravy. All three gravies were savory and delicious! One breaks off bits of biscuit and dips them in the gravies. That mushroom gravy was amazing! I'd like a 5 gallon bucket of that gravy to go! The breakfast biscuit was huge! I ordered it with a poached egg. You have to eat it with a fork and knife - it's so big! I could not eat the whole thing and ended up taking about half of the sammich to go! Everything was delicious! First time here. Read the reviews and the menu and had to try - especially with a hot Nashville chicken biscuit. We were seated immediately and our order came out quickly. Started with the three onion rings with spicy BBQ sauce. It was delicious. Onion rings fried almost to perfection and the BBQ sauce was awesome. We had the Cure and the Nashville Chicken biscuits. We were not disappointed. Their biscuits are big, light and tasty. The Cure had a tasty sausage gravy and pouched egg. The Nashville Chicken was delicious - the chicken was great, great slaw and pickle. I will come back to try other menu choices but will also come back for the Nashville - it was delicious. read more
