First time eating here. There was quite a wait at the door but we were able to sit at the bar with no wait. It was very busy but our server was very responsive. We decided to give this location a try. We are used to the Fairfax overcrowded location. This location delivered in terms of food selection, quality and staff service. The dining space was open and they also have a bar area where you can eat. We loved that they leave a large carafe of water on the table. Their menu has lots of healthy options. Sat at the bar for brunch around 11 am on a Friday after a dentist appointment. Service was A+. The bartender/server was so helpful, friendly and attentive. The menu is cool, plenty of wide ranging options regardless of what you're in the mood for. Unfortunately the food is nothing special and I personally like Famous Toastery or even Silver Diner a lot better. The coffee, even though poured right from a silver carafe, was cold. The omelette was supposed to be spicy, but it was bland. (Luckily Cholula to the rescue.) It had almost no meat or avocado and was jam packed stuffed with... Shredded onions. I don't mind onions, but they basically sell an omelette that looks big then stuff it with way too much of the cheapest ingredient. The potatoes were very undercooked. They took over the location where Green Turtle used to be so it's a good sized restaurant with a patio area. I've been to the First Watch in Greenbriar so I was familiar with their menu. My wife, daughter and I went for breakfast on 12/26/2022. The restaurant has a rustic appeal, although it's very noisy. We had the gingerbread doughnuts for an appetizer. They are served with a caramel dipping sauce and melted butter. Very tasty when dipped, I prefer the caramel. When eaten alone they lacked flavor. I didn't taste gingerbread. I would have preferred them sweeter. I had the works omelet, seasoned potatoes, and toast. The omelet was cooked well, filled with ham, bacon, sausage, mushrooms, onions and cheese. Very tasty. As much as I love cooked onions, I thought the onions in the omelet should have been diced and not cut haphazardly. The seasoned potatoes were very tasty, also with the haphazardly cut onions. My wife has classic eggs benedict with fruit on the side. The eggs were cooked perfectly and hollandaise sauce delicious. My daughter had the BLT with egg. The sandwich with piled high with greens, tomato, crispy bacon, and fried eggs. Very tasty. A bowl of tomato soup was served on the side. I was on the waiting list and was told my reservation was next to be seated but then the hostess proceeded to sit 4 other people who were not next in line in the reservation system. The food here is absolutely phenomenal! Great place to eat at. Makes me feel like I'm in a farm house eating a great brunch. All their ingredients are from local farms and organic. The million dollar bacon is a great start for those that love pork. Their service is great and the staff is awesome! As a regular, I get treated well because they're more than just a waiter/waitress. They're people making a living and I respect that in this day in age where all people do it complain about everything and talk to some of these waiters/waitresses like they're beneath them. I don't feel to heavy after eating here. I started off with the Kale Tonic juice which was very refreshing. My friend and I shared a side if biscuits and turkey sausage gravy. It was delicious. My friend literally licked the plate because he liked it so much. I ordered the short rib omelette and it was packed with flavor. Had a good amount of meat in it as well. Summary: the cost was lower than I expected based on the other times I have been here: the food was good; not great; service was slow; the restaurant was very loud; if you are not asked if you want "real maple syrup, ask for it! The syrup at the table is very bland. Be prepared for a little bit of a wait on Sunday mornings, unless you're a small party and are lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. Full review: My daughter and I didn't like the options for Sunday breakfast at home (and we felt too lazy to cook for ourselves), so we decided to go out. I had been to First Watch before, so I knew my daughter would like it. Their seasonal menu had a couple of items we wanted ti try: my daughter ordered the iced peppermint mocha and I ordered the ginger donuts. She said that coffee was better than the hot version she normally gets from Starbucks, if you like peppermint mocha, then this is a delicious option. The donuts were good, but between the two of us, we didn't eat them all to save room for our food. Daughter had the French toast and I had a combo meal. Her French toast looked good and she said it tasted good as well (not as good as the French toast at the Vienna Inn, in her opinion). It didn't come with any meat option; she stole a piece of my bacon as a result! (Tip: Order a side of bacon, if you have bacon bandits with you). The portion size was really big (she was able to eat half of it) My breakfast plate was decent as well. However, only the bacon was perfect. I had a few minor bothers: The eggs were garnished with chives and parsley, which I liked; but, the a bit of the garnish made its way into my pancake; I would have preferred separate plates to avoid the commingling! There were not enough blueberries; I like to able to have at least one berry per bite. The blueberries that were present were great! Lastly, I grew up in Vermont and have high expectations when it comes to Maple Syrup. I was expecting deliciousness as they brought out a warm bottle of what looked like Maple Syrup. As I ate, I didn't notice very much maple flavor. It was so bland! I ask my daughter what she thought and she agreed and said "sus". Based on the color, I was expecting Grade A Fancy (like virgin olive oil, this is made using the sap from the earliest run), which is my favorite! Extremely sweet and mild maple flavor. I mentioned the lack of flavor to our server (after we had finished eating). She said that we had used the maple syrup made for First Watch, and that they offer "real" maple syrup for a little and additional cost. I was confused by this; what is the difference between the house syrup and "real" syrup. She said she didn't know; based in the flavor I figured the watered down real syrup with simple syrup or just water. Since we ordered some pancakes to go, plus we had leftovers, I paid the extra cost for "real" syrup. When we got home, I found that the had included a few packets of their house syrup in addition to two tiny bottles of "real" syrup. The "real" syrup was significantly darker in color; it looked to be B grade syrup (which is my dad's favorite). I gave it a taste test and it was clearly superior to the syrup we had used. Even better, the packets of the house syrup had an ingredients list! It turns out Maple Syrup/maple sugar were not listed, so unless it was listed generically as "natural" flavor! read more

I'm going to give an extra star just on the possibility my next visit will be good. I'll start with the good- the place is spotlessly clean, the menu impressively expansive, and the decor pleasant. I ordered the waffle- which was great. The bad: our waitress was so off putting. We were one of only two tables there and she acted like she was super annoyed we were bothering her. She brought my waffle without syrup then promptly vanished. I asked someone else who also vanished and 10 mins into my meal I finally tracked another random server and asked. Our original server came back with the syrup. Not a -oh sorry I forgot - nothing. I got the impression she was irritated we didn't know what we wanted 8 seconds after being seated then another 1 minute later when we asked for a few more minutes. Let me tell you as a long time former server, the only acceptable answer to that is.. absolutely please all the time you need and let me know if you have any questions about the menu- not walk away all irritated. Price: coffee and a plain waffle $19.50 oooookkkkaaaayyyy? I mean it's a waffle - seemed steep to me, but it's not IHOP-you pay a premium for premium ingredients. They advertise real maple syrup so I can grant they a mark up on that. Lots of things on the menu looked yum so I'll be back and I can shrug off the Server- we don't know the burden people carry around- maybe her cat just died IDK, I hope not ofc. This location easily distinguishes itself from others purely with the excellent quality of food served. Easy to find and abundant parking available in the area. They use to get you in line through google but now you have to do it through the website. During rush expect the wait time to be more than estimated in app. They do accommodate walk-ins. Ambiance is nice, wooden seats are hard, get the booth seating, table height is decent and atmosphere is a bit loud. You also get a view of the kitchen for some of the tables. Food is excellent and consistent. Overall it will leave you satisfied. Menu has a lot of items to select from. You're spoilt for choices. Pancakes are amazing. Million dollar bacon is a must if you eat it. Juices are nice but morning meditation wasn't up to mark. Cures the hangover thirst. Service and friendly staff will make it a good experience. First Watch is one of my favorite brunch spots. Being a chain, I was a little skeptical at first but First Watch delivers every single time and at every location. All of their dishes are packed with flavor and loads of fresh ingredients creating the perfect balanced meal. They also have so much variety on their menu that you can try a different dish each time. My favorite dishes to date are the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes (no longer seasonal), Market Veggie sandwich, and the Tomato Basil soup. So this time we got all of our go-tos and tried the brand new and seasonal blueberry muffin top griddle cakes! The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes are no longer seasonal so go get them NOW! They're some of the fluffiest pancakes I've had and pair so well with the lemon ricotta cream and strawberries. The dish holds the perfect amount of sweetness and is super filling. The Market Veggie Sandwich also always satisfies. It's made up of house-roasted crimini mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, pesto, mayo, and mozzarella cheese on grilled artisan whole grain. This time the market veggie was much creamier, which was unexpected but super yummy. The sandwich is light yet filling and pairs super well with their basil tomato soup. It's creamy, savory, and chunky, making it the perfect addition. The blueberry muffin top griddle cakes were so sooooo good. It comes as three house-baked, butter-griddled blueberry and cinnamon streusel muffin tops, topped with warm mixed berry compote, blueberries, strawberries and blackberries, housemade granola, and powdered cinnamon sugar. It literally tasted like a muffin top with berry sweetness. The granola was the perfect touch since it added a crunch and texture to the meal. They were super fluffy yet filling. I also added a touch of their warm and fresh syrup to tie the meal together! Hot take, it was better than the lemon ricotta! We also ordered a side of their breakfast potatoes which were awesome. It lacked basic salt and seasoning. The eggs were cooked perfectly though, so that's a plus. We also got the waffles, which were fine. The service wasn't great. The server brought our food, but never came around to check on us. We needed syrup, which didn't accompany the waffles, and we also wanted to order a side of bacon. So I'm a regular to First Watch wherever I can find one. Been to the San Antonio one about 5 times. Been to several in different parts of Virginia but my first time to this location. And since I come a lot I always order the same thing. Well, you can tell by my plate on this one where they have cut back. When I used to order the omelette before, I always got 2 full slices of toast. Now you get a corner of bread. Used to get more potatoes and now they don't even wash the dishes. This is the dirty glass they put on the table. How could you not see that? Then why would you bring us waffles and pancakes and not bring syrup. At least the food tasted good or I would never come back. But to this location, I don't think I will. I'm used to you over delivering expectation and experience. Last Tuesday I woke up starving and have been wanting to try this place for awhile. I came here last Saturday but the wait was like 90 minutes and there was an irate woman yelling at a female manager about the wait. I do wanna add that the manager handled herself sooooooo well. We arrived and were sat immediately in the back corner. Our waitress was very sweet and did her best but ....... Issues 1. Coffee sucked 2. Orange Juice sucked. Tasted like the oranges weren't ripe yet. It was the unsweetest orange juice I've ever had 3. They don't have white sugar packets which I think is weird and I asked a few times for different creamers but she kept forgetting 4. The kitchen made our appetizer at the same time as our entree. Either that or she forgot to put it in. Either way, we sent the pumpkin donuts back because we would have had to rush to eat it and watch our food get cold or eat our food and watch the donuts get cold. Either way it wasn't gonna work. Pros 1. Waitress was cool. She couldn't recommend any drinks personally since she was only 18 but I think it'd be nice if she knew the "popular" drinks 2. Food was REALLY good! Finally made it to the new Leesburg location. The space is light and airy. Unfortunately it follows the trend of noise for its own sake with no sound absorbing materials (upholstery, carpet, ceiling tiles)). So it can be pretty loud inside. I had 3 items and each was very tasty. From the special fall menu, I had the pumpkin spiced donuts. They came with creme anglaise and salted Carmel apple butter. Yummy! I had an order of Million Dollar Bacon - 4 strips of bacon with brown sugar, black pepper, cayenne, and maple syrup drizzle. Very tasty, but only 1 of the 4 was crispy as I requested. What's brunch with an adult beverage? I had an AMAZING Cinnamon Toast Cereal Milk - coconut rum, cold brew coffee, coconut milk, and agave nectar. With a cinnamon swizzle stick. Very like a White Russian - and served in a cute bottle. Also very reasonably priced at $8. Service was good but not great. I think they may be understaffed as so many restaurants are. This place was good when they first opened, slowly the food quality dwindled, now it's just inedible and the service sucks. I ordered take out the past two times I visited this Leesburg location. First take out order I was told was not ready and sat and waited. Received my order 20 minutes later and when I say OLD CONGEALED FOOD, I mean you literally could turn the box upright, or hang it on a wall and the eggs and grits wouldn't move an inch. I called for a refund and was told I had to wait until Monday during specific hours and ask the corporate office to refund my money. Seriously? After the quality of the food I received combined with the amount of time I spent trying to get a manager on the phone, now you want me to do it all over again and call your corporate office? Who by the way answers the phones less than you do. Second take out order today pushed me to leave this review. I received notification from first watch via text that my order was ready, arrived to pick up the order and the host said it would be 10 to 15 minutes, having gone through this before I asked the host to please check the back and she found my order sitting there - do they not have food runners??? Got home with my order to find , once again cold food that had been sitting for god knows how long. Missing gravy on my Biscuits and GRAVY, missing side of bacon, BURNT ham and raw cold English Muffin. Plastic looking scrambled eggs, not sure when those were made? Looking like last week. The trifecta was a classic breakfast sampler, was a bit on the small side compared to what you'd get at a diner, BUT, I think that's on purpose since this restaurant really tries to offer people healthier/fresher breakfast and lunch options. The cheesy grits were on par for what I'd expect and would definitely order any of those items again. I've seen a lot of crap reviews about this place that aren't fair (some even saying they didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurant lol). Listen, they've been open for a week.
