For the first time, as long as I've known him (30 years) he mentioned GSF and the job they did on our clients shower walls and floor. He actually used the word "perfection". He said "It is a relief to know that when Greater Seattle Floors comes in to our job site to complete a tile or flooring job that I don't have to worry about them or babysit. I know that the job will come out perfect. You don't know what a relief that is to know that the work will be perfect". Highly recommended.

I dis-recommend using Greater Seattle Floors…read more Our general contractor brought them Greater Seattle Floors as a subcontractor. GSF installed wood flooring in four rooms and wall-to-wall carpeting in one room as part of a larger project. GSF wouldn't replace a wall-to-wall carpet that began unraveling two months after they installed it. It was in a lightly-used room that was only vacuumed once. There were foot-long long strands of carpet yarn that were just sitting on top of the bald backing material. GSF said to snip the yarn and not to vacuum. We complained and they sent someone to repair it. The repair person scrunched up the yarn strands and glued them to the backing. The texture of the repaired spot didn't match the rest of the carpet at all. Weeks later the yarn started unraveling in two more places. We asked GSF to replace the carpet. They refused and told us "pulls and snags are to be expected." The first wall-to-wall carpet they installed looked noticeably different on one side of where they seamed it compared to the other side. They did replace this at their expense when we complained, but it delayed the completion of the project by weeks. Two out of the four items we ordered were no longer made, although GSF still displayed them and sold them, or at least thought they could sell them. I called their showroom to find out when it was open. I went there during business hours and the showroom door was locked. I caught a worker coming out the door who said you have to make an appointment. Why not say that over the phone? They did do a very nice job installing the wood floors.

We left that place after wasting an hour going around in circles with the staff and had only 15 minutes before we had to head back home for an appointment. Since we HAD to have things picked out on that day, we yelped nearby places and found BK C&G. We walked in, found the exact same materials we had wanted at the previous place, asked for a quote, which they provided to us in less than 1 minute, and it was less than 1/3 what the other place had quoted us. Also, they could have everything ready within a week (the other place told us it would take several weeks to ship from China...and that shipping would cost several hundred $$$ in addition). Best Kitchen Cabinet and Granite was straightforward about pricing and easy to work with (we ordered over email/phone). We had our contractor install so I can't speak to that service, but everything fits perfectly.

They completed the entire master bath remodel in less than two weeks and the finished product was better than we expected. The entire process from start to finish was simple and we found it even better that we went to their store to pick out the materials. Compared to other quotes we received we would of had to supply and find all the materials ourselves. Overall completely positive experience and we plan to hire them again! UPDATE: we hired them again for our guest bathroom. Pictures are attached

Francisco and his crew were great. I had water damage on my kitchen floor and needed to find…read moresomeone to replace the floor. I live on Vashon Island so was lucky that Francisco had taken over the store from the previous owners who had the store for years. The store had a good selection of flooring to choose from and Francisco and his son Frank were knowledgeable about what flooring would be best. The estimate to take out the flooring and install the new one was fair and honest. (I got another estimate that was thousands of dollars more.) The floor is in and it's absolutely beautiful. I think it will probably last longer than I will, but that's good! Thank you Francisco and Frank for making this an easy process. Trust is so important in these kinds of transactions and I appreciate all you did for me.

We have had such a horrible experience with the floor store and are still suffering 8 months later…read more We hired the floor store based on good reviews on the island, only to find out later the store was purchased by Frank J's Carpet Installation (based in Renton) and all the good reviews were for the previous ownership. We contacted Frank to see if they could install bamboo hardwoods we had purchased elsewhere, and Frank came over to give a quote. He said they had a lot of experience with this type of flooring (click & lock) and even declined when I offered the installation guide that came with the materials. Flash forward to a few days later, we come home after a day of work to find they did a truly horrific job. We had to walk around the house marking things with blue tape where they needed to re-do pieces that looked awful, cuts that didn't fit, etc. We ended up firing them before they could do the stairs because I was confident they would not be able to handle the precision cuts. Their price was the most expensive of any quote we got, but Frank reassured me they are island-based and take care of islanders. What a joke! When they finished, you could walk around and feel that the floor was completely uneven and there was give in certain spots. During out initial consultation Frank had assured me they would level the floor where needed, including using leveling compound, and told me we didn't have to remove the subfloor. He clearly had no idea what he was talking about, because 8 months later I have floor buckling, sticking out, and cracking. It is like walking through land-mines in our house, and every day I am scared a new piece will buckle, stick up, and trip me while I am carrying my baby. Twice now Frank has sent one of his sub-contractors to fix the floor, and within a few days the problem has returned. The only real solution would be for someone to pull up the entire floor and start over again. Frank demanded we pay full price, even when it was clearly a hack job, and showed up at my house demanding payment. Eventually my husband had to contact him to get some of the money refunded because it was clear we are going to have to get a real professional in here to fix things, and he refunded a few hundred dollars. He even told my husband "it's not my guys' fault, he doesn't know how to work with hardwoods." after he had reassured me his employee had experience working with our product. I am disgusted at the way this business is run, and the true hazard they have left us to deal with. I would strongly advise anyone looking at using their services to look elsewhere.

When a different contractor attempted to charge us for demolition and remediation work that hadn't been performed to industry standards, Greater Seattle stepped in to help us recognize their false claims, document flaws in their work, and gather evidence that the job was not complete. Throughout the entire process, they were always honest, communicative, and quick to address any questions or concerns we had. As miserable as this experience has been, I can't imagine how much worse it could have been if we hadn't been lucky enough to find professionals as reliable and trustworthy as Greater Seattle to help us through it. I say they were gifted to me, and I truly mean it. The first time I met with Jeff and John, I left leaving knowing the rebuilding of my home was in great hands! More so, they were sensitive to the current situation, empathetic, listened to my ideas, (theirs was usually much better), answered all my questions, and so on. I've never had to rebuild a house; this was a scary process, but Jeff always responded quickly to me, which was beyond expectations. Every person I interacted was top notch!! Over the top!! This includes all the subcontractors, painters, electricians. I'd go to the house to take a peak, and there were all the little elves creating magic!! ; ) The final product was absolutely amazing, I could not believe my eyes!
