    Falafel Pita
    Bill S.

This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)

One of my favorite grab and go restaurants! Everything I've tried has always been delicious. Last visit I tried the Honey Harissa Steak bowl and it was so good! I love the variety of toppings you can add. The hummus and pita are always so fresh and flavorful. The mint lemonade is also great! I'll definitely be visiting a lot!

The service: 5 stars. The service was unbeatable though it was very slow at the cashier but Adam was very patient with each customer. Food The pickles: 5 stars. I wonder if Marie Antoinette ever had a pickle cabinet. If she did. Taim's pickles must had been in there. Lol! The cauliflower shawarma: 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if not deep fried. Very flavorful in their mysterious 7 spices. I only wish it was not deep fried. The jasmine cumin rice: 5 stars. I would not mind to be a sumo wrestler. Lol! The turmeric couscous: 2 stars. I would really like it if it was clear particles. In stead, it was like 95% dried yellow porridge, mushy. I would call it mashed couscous. The green spicy chill sauce and harissa were too oily to my taste. Both were not spicy enough to me:)). I am a killer queen of spicy food. Lol. I have been Taim three times so far. Each time I have discovered something enlightening. Today there was a woman came in with total 9 Pita Surprise complimentary cards that were distributed on the grand opening day. It was supposed to one per customer. Anyhow, the store honored her all free food such as desert, fries, drinks and other sides without any food purchase. The cashier Adam was spontaneously said:"I am not sure if I can redeem all 9...." The woman was somewhat sheepish. She tried to conceal her embarrassment all at once. She tossed 3 coupons herself for a mental justification. Meanwhile Adam called a manager like man over. This man was like Mahatma Gandhi, he compassionately honored the woman all 6 coupons without a trace of "discrimination" on abusing Free coupons offered by the business in a good deed. Remember, no food purchased by her. Lol! Taim has once again won my taste buds and soul. lol!

Inside there is a decent space for sitting, and a bright welcoming yellow! Staff is just as bright and work so hard! This is a new business, they are learning...be patient! They do an excellent job keeping everything perfect as expected (taste and picture) and I am addicted! I was invited for their soft opening, and attended the grand opening. They had to make a TON of food before they officially opened the doors, and they are definitely soldiers! That jasmine rice is perfection, a must try if you can...and the falafel was cooked perfectly! Everything was cooked with care, and has so much flavor. Definitely a customer for life!

    CHICKEN SHAWARMA PLATE

Food was amazing! The chicken shawarma was my favorite! My daughter loved their hummus. This is the best hummus in the area. Restaurant was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Recommend this restaurant for your stop when you're shopping here!

Hands down one of my new favorite places in my neighborhood. Their food is so fresh and absolutely delicious. Their harissa steak bowl was everything I could ask for and more. Their service is great as well, everyone there is very friendly. I got mine with rice, harissa steak, harissa sauce, tzatziki sauce, cucumbers and fresh as can be cucumbers. This is easily one of my new go to spots. Absolutely incredible.

I've also used the mobile order option and the food is always packed nicely for to go. The location is very clean with several tables to dine at. The parking lot can be crazy especially during peak hours since it shares it with Shop Rite and several other food businesses. This visit I grabbed the pick 2 option which gives you options of a salad or wrap(+$1) with a choice of snack, soup or smoothie. This visit I got the crispy chicken poblano salad with a small cheddar broccoli soup. The crispy chicken poblano salad has a nice creamy dressing that went well with all the mixins of the salad. I like that you also have the option to customize your order to add or exclude ingredients. The cheddar broccoli soup was also very good with a generous amount of tender broccoli in each bite. Looking forward to the next meal.

Fresh bowls and wraps in a clean store with open prep station showing a variety of options. First visit was excellent. Fresh food, friendly service. 2nd visit stopped in while leaving a nearby store while my mother was trying out. They didn't welcome or prepare anything for 15 minutes because she was using a promo on an app that had a later pick up time. They never smiled or welcomed and seemingly begrudged this app promo by insisting she was early a few minutes and would have to wait. So my good experience is now soured based on hers. Food was all fine - but Qdobo is super friendly and a few doors down. Same style food just with some Southwest extras - so my go to when here and hers also now. .

It is a large establishment next to the very busy Ikea next door but I surmise people rather eat Swedish meatballs for half the price of Wild Fig. I ordered the Mixed Salad Bowl with chicken and my first impression was that it is quite similar to Cava. However, they emphasize that the main inspiration here is Turkish food which explains why the offer Pides. While Cava most definitely wins in the flavor category, Wild Fig's ingredients are less salty and oily. I would even believe that it might be healthier in that regard? The portions are above average and priced competitively. I was immediately prompted a tip screen on top of a $1 service charge fee. I did not ask what the service charge fee was for but at $12.99 a bowl these days, that is a good deal. I would need to come back a few more times to see if the complaints on other reviews are justified, but my experience today was good.

While I had heard great things about this restaurant, I hadn't been in yet. I'm sure glad we chose to come here. Since I'm perpetually early, I went to have a beer at the bar while waiting and had a chance to peruse the happy hour menu. Lots of good stuff here including many beers and cocktails. This menu is available until 6 pm during the week. Bartender was a doll and gave me the skinny on all her favorites for both the happy hour and regular menus. Bar seats maybe 15 people and a tv above will keep a solo flyer busy for a bit. Once my buddy arrived, we were seated in the dining room toward the back. A great space able to seat many patrons. Larger groups can easily be accommodated. Our server Zack was awesome and came by just often enough. He also did a great job spacing out our courses so as not to overload our table. We started with soup and then had one of the starts of the evening- sliced seared tuna. This was a reco from the earlier mentioned bartender and it was a super home run. So were the Bang Bang Tacos. ( another reco from our great bartender food guru.) My friend said his salmon was good but not great and I had a burger that Zack recommended. Cooked perfectly, juicy and delicious, this was an incredible burger and I could have taken at least half home. I didn't because it was so good and I felt stuffed when it was finished. We didn't stop there though - the dessert menu looked awesome and I wasn't going to miss it. Coffee and snifter of Chambord matched with the cinnamon apple explosion was the "icing on the cake" Great meal and service. Will definitely come back and the sooner the better.

Bar is lively on weekends, and the dining area is spacious for table parties of 4-6.

She was very funny and quickly asked how she could help me. I explained it was my first time and I wasn't sure what to order, so she walked me through the menu. She asked if I wanted to try the coconut-based açaí--the one I was most curious about. From the very first sample spoon, I knew I had to order one! I went with the 'Coco Tella,' which comes with coconut açaí, pineapple, banana, granola, and Nutella. I don't regret it at all; it was absolute perfection. The service was great, the store was very clean, and I'm already looking forward to bringing my family back. I know my kids would love this place!
