Falafel Pita - A falafel pita sandwich filled with falafel balls, chopped vegetables, and sauce, wrapped in paper and foil, resting on a wooden surface. The sandwich is partially open, revealing the ingredients inside, and the background includes a blurred business card or packaging.

This location has a special place in my heart. 1988, I just came back from being stationed overseas and my girl friend (now my wife) says lets have Falafel for lunch. What's Falafel? Back then, the restaurant was called The Promised Land and it was the first time I took a bite of Falafel. Now, I was hooked! Strange that I never had nor heard of Falafel growing up in Brooklyn. Working in NYC was when I saw the different Falafel styles and was introduced to Einat Admonys version at Taim. I was a total fan of her Falafel. And to me, she gets points because she served in the IDF as well as being in Season 3 of Guy Fieri's Tournament of Champions? Shabbat Shalom sister with a fist bump. Which takes me to 2024, Taim Mediterranean Kitchen in Plainview. Walking in just floods me with so many memories. The counterperson says if I join the Taim rewards I can save on my first order so download the app. 1988 doesn't have anything on 2024! Once I downloaded the app, I ordered something simple, The O.G. Falafel Pita made with Harissa (for a little kick) I sit down to a nice, clean location. Brightly colored tables and a jug with some delicious looking lemonade. (Too sugary for me in 2024) My meal is ready. I like the fact that there is both Hummus and Tahini sauce inside the pita. It was a nice sandwich, the pita texture to me was a little off. It was too thick compared to what I'm used to at other falafel joints. Just for a moment, I had lunch back in time. Them I checked my app for the meal credit, I jumped in my Electric Car and headed home. Chicken Shawarma is calling me, I'll be back. (80s reference)

Honey Harissa Bowl - A disposable bowl holds a mixed salad with lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded meat, fried onions, and creamy dressing. A black fork is inserted into the salad. Behind the bowl, there is a baked potato wrapped in aluminum foil and a piece of bread partially wrapped in foil. The setting appears to be on a table, possibly in a casual dining environment.

One of my favorite grab and go restaurants! Everything I've tried has always been delicious. Last visit I tried the Honey Harissa Steak bowl and it was so good! I love the variety of toppings you can add. The hummus and pita are always so fresh and flavorful. The mint lemonade is also great! I'll definitely be visiting a lot!

Long line - A group of people, including adults and children, are lined up outside a Starbucks coffee shop in a parking lot. The line extends along the sidewalk, with some individuals engaged with their phones. The Starbucks storefront is visible in the background, with a large sign and an awning. The parking lot has several parked cars, and the sky is overcast with gray clouds.

The service: 5 stars. The service was unbeatable though it was very slow at the cashier but Adam was very patient with each customer. Food The pickles: 5 stars. I wonder if Marie Antoinette ever had a pickle cabinet. If she did. Taim's pickles must had been in there. Lol! The cauliflower shawarma: 4 stars. I would give it 5 stars if not deep fried. Very flavorful in their mysterious 7 spices. I only wish it was not deep fried. The jasmine cumin rice: 5 stars. I would not mind to be a sumo wrestler. Lol! The turmeric couscous: 2 stars. I would really like it if it was clear particles. In stead, it was like 95% dried yellow porridge, mushy. I would call it mashed couscous. The green spicy chill sauce and harissa were too oily to my taste. Both were not spicy enough to me:)). I am a killer queen of spicy food. Lol. I have been Taim three times so far. Each time I have discovered something enlightening. Today there was a woman came in with total 9 Pita Surprise complimentary cards that were distributed on the grand opening day. It was supposed to one per customer. Anyhow, the store honored her all free food such as desert, fries, drinks and other sides without any food purchase. The cashier Adam was spontaneously said:"I am not sure if I can redeem all 9...." The woman was somewhat sheepish. She tried to conceal her embarrassment all at once. She tossed 3 coupons herself for a mental justification. Meanwhile Adam called a manager like man over. This man was like Mahatma Gandhi, he compassionately honored the woman all 6 coupons without a trace of "discrimination" on abusing Free coupons offered by the business in a good deed. Remember, no food purchased by her. Lol! Taim has once again won my taste buds and soul. lol!

The OG Falafel Pita - A pita bread filled with falafel balls, topped with pink cabbage slaw and a drizzle of creamy sauce, rests on a wooden table. In the background, there is a clear plastic cup with lemon slices and a beverage from Taim Mediterranean Kitchen, with a blurred electronic device nearby.

Inside there is a decent space for sitting, and a bright welcoming yellow! Staff is just as bright and work so hard! This is a new business, they are learning...be patient! They do an excellent job keeping everything perfect as expected (taste and picture) and I am addicted! I was invited for their soft opening, and attended the grand opening. They had to make a TON of food before they officially opened the doors, and they are definitely soldiers! That jasmine rice is perfection, a must try if you can...and the falafel was cooked perfectly! Everything was cooked with care, and has so much flavor. Definitely a customer for life!

CHICKEN SHAWARMA PLATE

Food was amazing! The chicken shawarma was my favorite! My daughter loved their hummus. This is the best hummus in the area. Restaurant was very clean and the staff were very attentive. Recommend this restaurant for your stop when you're shopping here!

Hands down one of my new favorite places in my neighborhood. Their food is so fresh and absolutely delicious. Their harissa steak bowl was everything I could ask for and more. Their service is great as well, everyone there is very friendly. I got mine with rice, harissa steak, harissa sauce, tzatziki sauce, cucumbers and fresh as can be cucumbers. This is easily one of my new go to spots. Absolutely incredible.

Menu - Three digital menu screens display a Mediterranean restaurant menu. The first screen welcomes customers and provides instructions for first-time and seasoned guests. The second screen features signature dishes: falafel pita, chicken shawarma bowl, sabich pita, and Greek salad, each with descriptions and prices. The third screen offers a build-your-own option with choices between pita or bowl, with toppings such as hummus, jasmine rice, and vegetables. The menu uses yellow and white backgrounds with black text.

I ordered a variety of subs, and sides to serve 12 people. Our order included: - Chicken with fresh mozzarella - Italian meats/cheese - Marinated vegetable with fresh mozzarella sub - fruit salad - Caesar salad - cookies All of the food items tasted good and everyone was happy with the selection. The bread used was particularly delicious. There was plenty of food left over, and I could have easily ordered 30-40% less for the number of people, but the way the orders are described, it's hard to tell how many people each sub feeds (ie: what is considered a serving size, how many pieces are included per sub). A few things to note/areas for improvement (reminder: this was through ex-cater): 1- They do not offer any drinks through ez-cater. This is a miss. I would have loved to order a variety of drinks to accompany our lunch. And when I tried to call the deli directly, noone ever answered the phone. 2- The cookies were small and hard, not a "bakery style" cookie I was expecting. More like a chips ahoy. 3- They charge $3.75/person for "utensils" which were delivered as a handful of unwrapped plastic forks. No napkins, plates, knives or spoons. I paid about $40 for a dozen plastic forks, which was insane. Overall the food quality was very good. However, the inability to order drinks and getting priced gauged for plastic forks are detractors. I'd come again for an in person order, unless they charge $3.75 for a fork, then I'll pass.

The chickens great, as is the rice and veggie selection for each. The staff is always friendly and the place is always clean. It's easy to sit down and eat and there's lots to check out in the shopping center. They're a good staple for Plainview, and maybe next time I come back I'll try something new!

I've also used the mobile order option and the food is always packed nicely for to go. The location is very clean with several tables to dine at. This visit I grabbed the pick 2 option which gives you options of a salad or wrap(+$1) with a choice of snack, soup or smoothie. This visit I got the crispy chicken poblano salad with a small cheddar broccoli soup. The crispy chicken poblano salad has a nice creamy dressing that went well with all the mixins of the salad. I like that you also have the option to customize your order to add or exclude ingredients. The cheddar broccoli soup was also very good with a generous amount of tender broccoli in each bite. Looking forward to the next meal.

I came on my way to work. They have a good parking lot so it won't take you time to get in. Inside was neat and clean and the deli had that 90's style vibe going. It felt good, but not modern. Behind the counter were a lot of friendly hard working people. They took my order quick and made it to my specifications. I used my Apple Pay to finalize the order and decided to dine in. They had plenty of seating. I mean they had too, the place was packed. That's a good sign for any business. Now the thing I mentioned about missing steps comes when I opened my sandwich. Don't get me wrong it looked great. I only wish they had melted the cheese. I know I asked for extra, but they could have put it on the stove and let it melt. I mean, I can't enjoy my eggs unless the cheese is melted, the bread was the best part of my breakfast. It was so soft and warm. I liked it alot, the sausage was, okay and everything else was ordinary. I mean, I would go back, it wasn't terrible. But next time, toss my egg sandwich into a pizza oven and leave it there for a few.
