I hired HVAC Hunters for a refrigerant recharge. The technician told me, based on his professional…read moreexperience, that this recharge would get my system through the summer. I took him at his professional word and approved the work on that basis. It did not last 12 hours. The system stopped working the same day. Only afterward did I read the fine print on the invoice, which says the opposite of what I was told in person: that a recharge carries no guarantee of operation for any period of time and that the refrigerant may keep leaking. So I was sold a "summer" fix verbally, handed a disclaimer in writing, and left with a system that quit before the next morning. To make it worse, no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the outcome of the conversation with their technician. Having managed large operations for years, I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do business: set honest expectations, stand behind what your technician promises, and communicate directly. None of that happened here. My advice, get every promise in writing before you approve any work, or better yet, call someone else.

Installation was done poorly by his crew since the unit from the start never worked properly. apparently when installed the unit had a leak and needed freon to work correctly and Chen of New Pioneer could not correct it but wanted to charge for adding the freon. Daiken would not stand behind the unit because of the sloppy installation. This year I reached out to him {Chen} and he never returned my call. I pulled the system out and purchased a Fijitsu from a certified company and it works perfectly - since the start. No issues. Go with someone you can depend on , not New Pioneer Mechanical

He first spent about 30 minutes checking the unit, then gave me the price and left to buy the part. After that, he spent another 2.5 hours fixing his car before coming back. When he returned, he spent less than 30 minutes repairing the unit and then rushed to leave because he had another job. While he was here, he complained that the attic was too hot and even asked for help fixing his car. The AC worked right after he repaired it, but it stopped working again within 30 minutes. Since he had already left, I contacted him and asked him to come back to fix it again. He came back the next day but did not really do anything. He said the unit was making sound and running. He didn't even go up to the attic to double check again. so he claimed the outside unit needed to be cleaned. He then quoted me $400 per unit, for a total of $1,200 to clean three units, which I believe was extremely overpriced. I told him to clean only one unit first so we could see if the AC would work, but he refused and left immediately. On the same day, I had to call another company to schedule service. I paid another $200 for the repair, plus $290 to clean the outside unit, and the AC has worked without any issues since then. The other specialist told me that DC Air had installed the replacement part in the wrong area, which caused the unit to stop working again. I found this company on Yelp and saw that it had a Yelp Guarantee, but after this experience, I no longer trust these so-called reviews and guarantees. It is better to find someone through friends or people who have actually hired and recommended them before.

Without going into embarrassing detail, it had been (ahem) quite some time since the units were serviced and were definitely experiencing a decline in the effectiveness of our air conditioners. We weren't sure if we would need new units, or some kind of repair, but booked a cleaning/service with Prime Air first. I'm so glad we did. Kiril was polite and respectful and got right down to cleaning our mucky units and compressor. What a difference! Our A/C worked like new! We kept having to turn the A.C down because it was cooling so efficiently! About a year later, Prime Air reached out to offer a discount for a one year follow-up maintenance visit and we took them up on it. It was reassuring to know that our system was still in great shape. We had another comfortable summer with an efficiently running Air conditioning system. Thanks, Prime Air!

After much contemplation and research I decided to have a MiniSplit system installed in my CapeCod…read morestyle house. I read some reviews online and made some phone calls, and decided on Gold Coast Home Comfort. I spoke with the owner Tom, and had him come by for an estimate. Tom arrived on time and we discussed which system would work best for my home. I decided on 2 Ceiling cassettes and 1 wall unit for my house. The Gold Coast crew arrived on time and began the install. Dan, Mike, Eddie and Zach were very neat, organized, and also answered all the questions I had about the system. Very knowledgeable. Each member of the team are highly skilled and meticulous. They worked so well together, which says something right there. Once the installation was complete, we connected the WiFi units to my Internet. I am now ready for the HOT summer weather... although the heat function has already come in handy this past month. I couldn't be happier with my decision to hire Tom and Gold Coast Home Comfort... And I have to say, after a very nice conversation with Tom, the company's motto "Earning & Returning" really confirmed to me, that I made the RIGHT decision to hire Gold Coast. Check out what they do and how they give back ... an incredible company with an incredible owner. Thank you Tom !

They canceled the appointment because it was drizzling outside. Jessica, who contacted me to cancel the appointment told me that someone would get in touch with me within 2-3 days. So, someone should have called to reschedule by May 5. This never happened!! On May 8, I reached out on their company website without any response. On May 9, 2022, I called and got transferred to their answering service. Again, there was no call back! I did the same outreach the next day and Wednesday May 11,2022. I had also written an email to the owner , Mike on May 10,2022. There were a total of 5 outreach attempts without a response, only leaving my cell number for them to call back. Finally, I was fed up with their lack of responsiveness to my calls and e-mails. When I left my third phone message today with their answering service, I told the receptionist that if I didn't get a call back today that I would be writing a negative review and I would be taking them to small claims court to get half of my contract money ( $543 ) returned to me. Only today did I finally get a call back from the owner Mike. He was nasty, when he should have been apologetic to me. He told me that he's dropping me as a customer. He said he was going to come to my home , which I took as an implied threat to me and my family. He also lied to me and told me that he contacted me 5 times. This is a blatant lie as I just spent the last few hours checking my phone records for my mobile phone and landline. He only called back after I threatened to take him to court for breach of contract, which seemed to be what he was doing by avoiding calling me back and providing the services that I paid for in my yearly contract. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with this company to seek another alternative. He is a nasty owner and can not be trusted. It is virtually impossible to reach anyone by phone and they certainly don't value their customers. I told him that I would give home 3 days from today to return half of my contract money. I don't expect that he will do this. So, I will likely be seeing him court in the near future!! I'd like to give ZERO stars, but apparently I can't do it !!
