Asked for dryer repair - appointment scheduling was quick. Technician came and reviewed quickly, got a quote, then had the part delivered. Technician came again for the repair and things worked well after. Quote was reasonable and maybe slightly above my expectations but within my range. read more

Great service, fast and efficient and solved the problem quickly and inexpensively. Very pleased.

Replaced a pair of dishwashers. Excellent experience from first contact to completion. Highly recommend.

Easy appointment booking, fast and attentive service for the repair. Would highly recommend!

My Bosch dishwasher was not draining, and Sara at CityTech was quick to schedule an appointment the next day and send the COI. I got a text with a live location link when my technician, Alex, was on the way. Alex found the issue, did the quick fix today, and recommended a long-term fix that he could do another time. He thoroughly explained and showed me each step as he was doing it so that I could ask my super to fix if it happens again. He quoted me the minimum labor fee for both visits, and was in & out of my apartment in exactly 25 minutes. Paid with cash to avoid a credit card fee. Highly recommend. read more

Noticed the fridge wasn't keeping things cold like it should and some food had already started going bad. Called and got someone out within a day. He traced it down to a failing compressor relay pretty fast, and since he had the part with him already, didn't need to schedule a second trip to fix it. read more

The technician was very nice and replaced the fuse on my clothes dryer so that it would produce heat. There was a bit of confusion about the price, but it was resolved. Dryer works well now. read more

My oven wouldn't light and CityTech Service fixed it. It is a pretty old oven but the technician had the part needed (low-amp igniter) with him. It's great that you can speak to Sara on the phone for scheduling and to help with paperwork. My building required a signed Certificate of Insurance and Indemnity Agreement. She got that to me and scheduled the visit quickly and with no fuss. Definitely recommend and will use them again. read more

If i could give ten stars I would! Alex, the technician was great. He knew exactly what was wrong with my Wolf stove and fixed the issue. He charged exactly what the estimate was and applied the service call fee to the total. Sara the office manager was also terrific. she arranged the service call and was able to get the COI for my coop the next day. I just moved to manhattan from nj and can't tell you how exited I am to find an appliance repair company that i can call for any issues with my stove, fridge etc. And ask for Alex!!! read more

Prompt service and quick repair of oven including part. Easy online payment. Needs extra characters to post.

I called them to fix a washing machine for which they had to order a part from GE. Long story short, they could not fix it and recommeded I buy a new one. They drove at least an hour and then another hour to diagnose. I was charged $125 for the diagnosis which I felt was more than fair for the time and effort spent. I would be happy to use them again. read more

This is what it's like to do business with a human. I reached out to City Tech to repair my refrigerator and they were quick to respond with a reasonable quote and sent a service person over within a few days. The repair was done in a timely fashion and the repair tech Alex was terrific! He was thorough and thoughtful, presenting an honest assessment of the problem and met it with a clear-headed solution. No bell, whistles, or trickiness. Just people running an honest business. Recommend! read more

I found this company through yelp, the reviews were great. I was able to correspond via text and phone. They were very quick to respond and come out that same week. I had them replace the rubber inner part of my washer, mine moldy . Although it wasn't an inexpensive piece to replace, I'm so happy that I did. I would use this company again. read more

Absolutely fantastic experience with CityTech Service. First, they responded right away when I asked for a quote, saying they specialize in Liebherr which is what we needed. Alex came right away. Alex is the BEST! Our refrigerator had a loud running noise that was happening on and off. He diagnosed the problem, and told us things about our refrigerator that we never even knew. He replaced the part that needed replacing. He asked if we had changed the water filter, which we never even knew needed to be replaced every 6 months. And also asked us how often we clean a filter that's at the bottom of the refrigerator, which we knew nothing about. Basically he educated us on how to take care of our refrigerator, which was amazing. And, he fixed one of the sliding drawers in the refrigerator as well. He was super thorough, and truly went above and beyond! Our refrigerator is working beautifully now. Highly recommended. read more

Just a note to say I had a great experience with City Tech Service. They came out to service my appliances and then returned for a follow-up visit to repair my washing machine. City Tech and Alex are excellent! Sara, the manager helped me to coordinate my availability with Alex's as I requested him due to his great reviews. When I turned my dishwasher on, it started to fill and then turned off. I tried it 3 times and then decided to call City Tech. Alex quickly figured out that the issue was with the door and that it was due to misaligned hardware from the installation. He resolved the issue and also gave me some tips regarding the dishwasher. A bonus is that now it operates quietly, too! The charge was reasonable, the cost of the service call. Thank you Alex and City Tech!. They are the only company that I will call and will request fabulous Alex again!! read more

Alex from CityTech ranks amongst the most proficient and honest technicians I have ever met in the city. Faced with a washing machine issue, I checked Yelp reviews and called five-starred CityTech. Luckily for me Alex answered the phone and walked me through some free diagnostic steps before scheduling an appointment to visit me. He came in today and spent 30 minutes diagnosing the issue. He could have charged me $470 for replacing the drain pipe and fixing the issue, but instead he simply charged me $125 for the diagnosis and then walked me through the pros and cons of getting the unit repaired versus replaced. He made an argument for replacing it. He then spent a good 10-15 minutes comparing options for a replacement washer. And found a unit that even my appliance salesperson had neglected to mention. And as Alex was leaving, he also gave me advice on maintaining my Sub-Zero refrigerator (!). Alex is a true professional -- knows his subject matter, provides objective advice, and makes sure he is adding value well beyond what is expected. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alex at CityTech. read more

I had a great experience with this appliance repair company. My 10 year old Electrolux ventless dryer started beeping and showed a new icon that had never shown up before (see picture) as well as Error Code 22. Searching online it appears there was an issue with the draining of water from the dryer. I looked for an appliance repair company that worked on Electrolux dryers and found a review saying that CityTech serviced this brand and also had good reviews. I contacted them and was able to quickly make an appointment for a technician to come in. They were upfront that the visit would be $125 which would go towards the repair and parts if I decided to move forward. At the day of the visit, Alex was actually 15 minutes early. He came in and within 30 minutes was able to diagnose the issue and said the control board for the drain pump needed to be replaced. He offered to get the OEM part $600 or a part off eBay $350. I decided to go with the eBay part. Alex said when he came back if the new part didn't work I would not be charged. A week later, Alex came back with the part, installed it...and it was a defective part! At this point Alex suggested I look at getting a new dryer and suggested Bosch. I asked if we could try another eBay part and he was good with that and had suggested a new dryer if I wanted to get back to using a dryer ASAP. Alex ordered the part from eBay. A week later, on Alex's third visit he came with the new part from eBay as well as a new drain pump. He installed both and tested out the dryer and asked me to throw in some damp towels to test it out. It worked great. So after all that, I now have a dryer working well again and hope it lasts a few more years so I can keep it out of the landfill a little longer. Thanks to Alex and CityTech! read more

It's been difficult searching for an appliance professional, but I found the best at CityTech. I found Alex at CityTech through Yelp. Alex was responsive to my initial request for help fixing a problematic Electrolux Dryer. Not only did Alex answer my questions clearly, Alex also contacted Electrolux directly to find out the details of my extended warranty and the parts needed to repair the dryer. I didn't even ask him to do this, he did this on his own. Alex is extremely professional and was easy to setup the initial appointment. Within 30 seconds of diagnosis runs on the dryer, Alex discovered the problem with the dryer - a faulty electrical issue that the technician from Electrolux did not properly diagnose. Alex did a full diagnostic and ordered the correct parts needed. Alex stayed until the job was complete. Alex even came back a few days later with the correct part he ordered on his own. Ultimately, I ended up ordering a new GE Dryer (Alex advised me to do this), and how to correctly setup the drain hose, etc. I will contact Alex in the future instead of doing any extended warranties. Its a great value and CityTech went above and beyond the job request. CityTech is very professional and actually cares about their customers getting the job done right. read more

Our 2yo Bosch dishwasher suddenly stopped working, and Bosch sent me a list of "approved vendors." Each one had worse reviews than the other. Thank God for Yelp and CityTech. Daniel the office manager reached out to me right away, and after reading others' positive reviews, I went for it. Our technician Alex was great - he was knowledgeable about the Bosch and figured out the problem, and he and Daniel made sure to hurry our repair before we went on vacation. He was even patient with our 2yo daughter. Thanks, Alex and CityTech! read more

Alex was so helpful and friendly. I can tell he's a good honest person. Also CityTech was fast to reply so I appreciate that. Thank you!

I very highly recommend CityTech for appliance repairs. From securing an appointment to the job completion they were communicative, and a pleasure to deal with. The line to my dishwasher sprung a leak causing a leak onto my kitchen floor. I was able to get a visit the day after I called CityTech, and their technician, Alex, ensured the water valve in my kitchen to the dishwasher was closed to stop leaking, confirmed the issue, and provided a quote to fix. Today he came back with the part and did a thorough and careful job replacing the line. He was very pleasant to talk to, and ensured I was satisfied and had no questions. While my job may be on the less complex side, Alex shared they do work on all types of appliances from simple to complex refrigeration work etc. He clearly knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work. I will not hesitate to recommend to friends should they have a need. Thank you Alex and CityTech! read more

When my oven went belly-up in the middle of a big baking day (a Sunday, no less!), I knew just whom to call: CityTech! My request was answered immediately, with a promise that the repair tech I wanted (Alex) would arrive the next day. Alex just left; he arrived about 45 minutes earlier than promised, knew immediately what was wrong with my oven, had come prepared, fixed it, cleaned up, and was out the door in under 30 minutes. The charge was reasonable, too, as always. Everyone I have dealt with at CityTech has been polite, responsive, knowledgeable, pleasant, and I never call any other appliance repair service. If you need to buy a new appliance, and you are offered a service contract, don't waste your money. Call CityTech Service instead. They will make any appliance better than new. read more

These guys were great. I had called Sears to fix my dishwasher, which wasn't draining, but they didn't show up. So, the next day, I called CityTech at 10 AM, and they had someone fixing my dishwasher by 8 PM. On a Friday night. The tech, Vlad, was super knowledgable. He saw the standing water in my dishwasher and immediately identified what was wrong. (I think it was a problem with the water pump.) He said he could either try and clean it and fix it then. If he was successful, he said the total cost would be about $300 (guaranteed for 90 days). If he was unable to fix it, he said there would be no charge -- except for the $125 diagnostic fee (which went toward the $300 and would go toward any repair fee). Or he could come back with a replacement part in a few days. I opted for Door #1. Vlad worked for about an hour and found that there were slivers of glass in the pump (from three broken glasses earlier in the week). He fixed it, and my dishwasher seems to be running well. On his way out, I asked if he could work on other appliances because my wine cooler wasn't working well. He said they worked on any appliance. He said he thought it was a Freon issue but would have to come back BC my wine cooler needed to be defrosted before he could do any diagnostic work. I texted the company, and they said Vlad likely could be back early in the week. Would totally use these guys if I had another appliance issue. read more

Alex was very kind, considerate, professional and intelligent and timely! I would call this company again: I did not feel pressured to buy any appliance part I did not need and I was told that if the appliance has any issues again, he/they will come back for free since I already paid the service charge. read more

Great experience with CityTech. Booking was seamless, the technician (Alex) arrived on time. Removed his shoes without my even asking and investigated the problem with my wine fridge. Was able to diagnose and help me troubleshoot without having the right filter. Alex very clearly explained the next steps and how to resolve this on my end moving forward, plus helped with a door handle issue on my primary fridge. Highly recommend. read more

Although I have not yet had a chance to use this service, the CityTech Service repair person was personable during the initial Q&A. Used again for another breakdown (this time a sub-zero Fridge), unfortunately tried another company first (also found on Yelp, with very official Brand Name in their title), who was unable to fix (but also refunded everything). Contacted George from my last review and while he's moved on, he suggested we call this company again. This time Alex came through, fixed the issue (similar price to the prior company) and ended up doing a massive replacement of the parts. Good service, timely, courteous and garners loyalty among even ex-employees. If you're stuck with a luxury appliance, get it right the first time, and use these guys! read more

I hired CityTech to diagnose an issue we had with our Liebherr refrigerator. A technician came quickly to assess the situation and let me know what the issue was.
