Absolutely terrible experience -- avoid this company and the owner (Ely or Ilya Kurach, whatever his name is). We were quoted $250 over the phone for a simple dishwasher door repair. When did the work he casually mentioned it's around $300 which was fine, I just needed to confirm with the apartment owner since I'm not the one paying. I was in the middle of something, but he kept texting and calling me nonstop, sounding desperate. The owner had already agreed to the payment and simply asked for an invoice to process it properly. Instead of sending an invoice like any normal professional would, this guy insisted on being paid immediately. I explained that we just needed the invoice first -- standard business procedure. But he refused, got aggressive, and literally removed the dishwasher door and left it like that. This was not only unprofessional -- it was petty and bizarre. The apartment owner owns multiple units in the building and has no problem paying, he just wanted documentation first. Instead of respecting that, the technician threw a tantrum and stormed out. I even told him it was only $300 and that he would get paid. He responded by saying that was 'a lot of money' for him. Based on the reviews, you'd think this was a legitimate and professional business--unfortunately, that's not the case. Do NOT hire this guy. Desperate for cash, unstable behavior, and the worst customer service I've encountered in NYC. You've been warned. read more

Terrific experience. My Bosch Axxis washer would not drain and Eli was able to come same day. He was very professional and communication was easy via Yelp and texting. He got me the COI quickly and called prior to arrival as arranged and came during the agreed upon appointment time. He was able to complete the repair quickly and also took care of changing the moldy gasket, which I had been wanting to do for some time but never wanted to deal with it. Everything was smooth and the washer is working great now. Eli was very clean, took his shoes off and removed all the materials. Our 10-year old LG washer gave out yesterday and I began an internet search for a repair service. Of the 3 servicers I called, Eli was the only one who: (i) asked what error code was showing (and knew what it meant), (ii) asked the model number of the machine, (iii) confirmed he had the part available, and (iv) gave me a firm (and I think fair) price. Plus, entirely on his own, he asked about building insurance requirements (I had forgotten I need them) and was able to produce a certificate of insurance within hours of my calling him! He then showed up today, on time (he gave a 2-hour window, but also provided an advance phone call when he was about 20 minutes away), and fixed our washer promptly and with good humor. He also tolerated my curiosity in watching his repair and explained what was wrong and showed me the broken part. If I could give 10 stars I would. The dishwasher broke in my rental unit. They were able to come out next day and the following day the problem was fixed. They also communicated with my tenants to find a time that worked for them. I really appreciated how quick and easy they made the whole process for me and my tenant. I needed a dishwasher and an oven fixed. Ely did a great job, fixed them both in under an hour. I recommend.

From start to finish Ely was GREAT. I called to make an appointment and provided him the details of the Oven (Serial Number) and what was occurring (was not heating up). We agreed on a date and time and he called about 1 hour before his arrival to reconfirm the appointment and said he would be the there in a little over an hour... and he WAS!!! He was very professional. Neatly attired, walked into the apartment, and immediately took his shoes off to avoid tracking anything on the floors!! He confirmed the problem and said that he had the replacement ignitor unit with him. Cost would be $340 plus tax for the part and labor. In about 20 minutes everything was done and the oven was tested and it heated right up. He told me that the ignitors only last about 9 years (I've been fortunate as the stove is 20+ years old -- but then the oven isn't used too much.) He then asked if there was any other appliance that I wanted him to look at -- and there was -- I'd been unable to get the water filter out of the refrigerator (so I could replace it). He looked at it and in 2 minutes was able to fix the the problem and showed me how to do it in the future if I should have a problem again. Ely is pleasant and polite and very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him and Residential Appliance Services. (Oh and they were very quick to provide the management office of my coop a Certificate of Insurance once the appointment was made and before they arrived - a mandatory requirement and they did it without any issues) read more

A broken appliance is one of the most stressful things available. My Bosch dryer broke and I called bosch. They were not very helpful and repairs could be very costly. I checked around a few places and these guys were the most transparent, responsive and knowledgeable. They were able to do same day appointments, had COIs ready, and were very polite. Eli came on time, took of shoes, cleaned up after his work. Replaced my drain pump quickly. I was worried that maybe it'll break again later but he assured me that if anything happens in next few months, it's covered under their warranty and they'll come back to fix it. I mean wow! Unparalleled professionalism. Eli came over to look at our broken Bosch dishwasher. He was extremely up front about pricing, did his work quickly, and maintained a level of friendliness that I find uncommon in New York. After two visits (diagnostic + trial replacement of two potentially malfunctioning parts), it was unfortunately determined that the cost of the necessary repair would've approached that of a new dishwasher, so Eli simply advised us to replace the machine. He gave us some great input on recommended brands and also encouraged us to call him if we had any followup questions. He only charged us the $75 diagnostic fee despite making two visits and ordering two replacement parts on our behalf. I should also add that I had to reschedule Eli's second visit at the last minute and he was extremely accommodating and kind about it. I lived in Japan for several years and this was the very first time I've experienced Japanese-level courtesy and professionalism since moving back to the United States. I had him come to fix my 10yr old LG dryer. He opened it up recommended me to buy a new dryer as it was not cost effective to fix. Most repair guys would have charged me and fixed it knowing it may break again in few years but Ilya was honest and know his appliances. I also had him look at my old Liebherr fridge and he was very honest on this also. His diagnostic pricing is super fair($75) and his professional recommendation was well worth it.
