It's honestly rare and very refreshing to have such a good experience coupled with such a quick turnaround - I contacted them via their website on Sunday about a broken icemaker in our Miele refrigerator and they had a COI ready for my building by noon Monday, and a fantastic tech (Vito) at our home by 4:30pm the same day. He was friendly, very knowledgeable and was able to fix the problem quickly while explaining exactly what we needed to know. Even good with the dogs! Price was great especially given the turnaround time. They are based in Brooklyn but techs are in Manhattan multiple days a week and it worked out perfectly here. Precision does it again! This is my second repair by them and just like the first time service was excellent. This time I called to the gas stove in my tenants apartment repaired. I followed the instructions and hung up to receive the link for the Service Inquiry Form and filled it out on my phone. I received a call back from John who was actually on his way home for the day but offered to stop by right away as he was just down the street. I explained what the gas company diagnosed and described the symptoms and John advised me that the gas company usually misdiagnoses the issue I described. He told me what the issue most likely was and the cost to repair it. John came over, checked out the stove and repaired it right on the spot...he saved me hundreds of dollars over replacing the stove as the gas company suggested. The 2 technicians came promptly and were very knowledgeable and polite. They listened to what we were experiencing and peeked inside while the machine was running. John has been the repair person who comes usually (I have older appliances). He came this week to fix my dryer, fixed within an hour and then Brian called a few days later to make sure the repair they did on the dryer was still working. several weeks ago I also called about a washing machine that was not working. John went as far as telling me I should replace it rather than repair it as the fix would be pretty expensive. So they don't just come and do repairs, they advise and their advice is spot on. Not sure what to say about this place. I picked it for the high reviews- quite an accomplishment in an arena where apparently appliance guys routinely just don't show up. But this place had the best reviews on Yelp, and indeed they got in touch with me quickly, and the guy showed up the next day on time. He was nice enough but because my fridge didn't happen to be making the loud droning sound it makes on and off, he seemed completely clueless with what to do. I'd sent him video of the fridge making the sound and assumed that would be enough but when he got there he said he couldn't diagnose anything unless the fridge made the sound in front of him. It didn't. About an hour after he left, it began making the noise again, so I sent him some more videos, but now he's just saying odd things like maybe it's the magnets on my door, or there's a screw loose somewhere. Like just making random guesses. I've had the magnets on my door for years so it's obviously not that. Because the company charges $150 just to show up, there's no point in calling him back, I might as well buy a new fridge. Just a warning that if your fridge's problems are on and off, don't call these guys unless you know for certain the problem will be happening when they show up. read more

I do appreciate the call to try and make things right with the refund and would recommend if anyone is having issues, to speak to John directly to try and resolve. Since there was a lot of miscommunication in this process, my recommendation to other customers is to start an email thread so there is documentation on communications and expectations between both parties. Bullet point out specifically what you're looking for even if it was communicated over the phone and send it for confirmation if Precision can or cannot do a certain thing asked, and after any conversation so that expectations on both sides are set. I would also have the technician on the thread as well if possible if there was mention of another follow-up after a visit. Ask for pricing as well prior to any visits/consultations. If there is a complaint, to follow up with John who is the manager vs a customer service rep. I hope this is helpful and insightful of services for anyone else that is looking to replace/fix their washer/dryer units. Overall.
