We needed to upgrade from our beloved Oreck upright vacuum to something more modern and versatile. After researching, I narrowed it down to a Miele canister due to their excellent reputation and their reliability. After deciding I'd rather purchase in person so I could test it out, as opposed to buying online, I visited Mr. Vacuum and had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Joe. He very patiently showed me and demonstrated a few Miele models, letting me test them out and answered all of my many questions. Still undecided, I went home to do more research then came back a week later to look at some other Miele models. This time I met with Adrian and he was also wonderfully patient, friendly and knowledgeable about the Mieles and all of their equipment. He also has a great sense of humor! So based on all of my testing and research, I narrowed it down to a Miele Complete C3 HomeCare, which perfectly suited our needs. A few days after my second visit, I called Joe to place the order and schedule the delivery. Joe himself delivered it and the process could not have been easier and more seamless. I'm absolutely thrilled with our new Miele! It was a bit of a learning curve for me as I never had a canister vacuum with these awesome attachments, but Joe has been excellent and super responsive in answering my questions. His professionalism, dedication and ethics are unparalleled and I will most certainly continue to do business with him. In fact I will soon be purchasing some additional dust bags to have on hand. We were in need of a new vacuum. My Miele canister vacuum is 20 years old and had been through a lot. I wanted another one, but with a Hepa filter. I'm home with a fractured leg so my husband went and we were on the phone and he was sending me pictures. He was able to get another Miele here for a very reasonable price. My husband was going to carry it home - we don't have a car - and the owner insisted on dropping it off after the store closed. Not only did they drop it off, they threw in a package of vacuum bags. When I called back to say he was disrespectful and unprofessional he said he thought I was a prank caller. This is not a way to treat any potential customer! I found Mr Vacuum out of desperation. My vacuum was broken and I didn't want to wait to order one online. I asked my local hardware store if they could recommend a place to buy one, and he immediately recommended Mr Vacuum. I have to admit: going into a vacuum cleaner store feels very old school since we all shop online so much. I rushed over there and was reminded of why in-person shopping can be so nice (and important for the life of our neighborhood during a pandemic!) The employee, Steven, got right down to business helping me narrow down my search. He didn't try to convince me to spend outside of my budget and didn't treat me like a useless customer once he realized I wasn't spending a fortune there. He spent ample time with me and I felt very good about my purchase! We got to chatting--super friendly guy, and coincidentally also super knowledgeable about the culinary world. He gave me his top three Brooklyn pizza shop recommendations. He ended up spending about 20 minutes helping me find a few different cuts of meat on sale at area grocery stores. He even let me take the grocery sale circulars with me. It was a delight, especially during these legitimately hard times. Amazon won't give you advice about meat or pizza. Great great shop. I plugged in my 15 year old Miele vacuum one morning and it wouldn't start. So I went to Yelp to find a Miele repair shop close by....found these guys and gave them a call. It was a Saturday and they said they could look at it and probably fix it same day. Perfect! So we hopped on the subway to Bay Ridge. After looking at it they gave us a reasonable price to fix the motor. And advised ya it would be good for another 15 years. However, we decided, due to its age and the wear and tear of all our attachments, to invest in a new machine. They have a nice selection of Miele (and other better brands) and their prices are very fair. The store has a great vibe- knowledgeable guys, no pressure, and nice. I'd rather support a local store than shop at a big box and this place made it easy. They have a new customer for life. read more

He was extremely friendly and talked through what the issues might be and what he guessed the costs would be for repair, even though he hadn't seen the machine. This is one of those stores that fills a niche you didn't know you need filled until you do and then it's great that it is there. My wife has gone there to get out Miele vacuum fixed, something wrong with the belt I think, and I just went to get vacuum bags and a new hardwood floor vacuum my wife wanted to get. The owner is a nice guy, knows his stuff and the prices seem fair. Joe was able to repair our steamer when the master board blew. It took a couple of weeks to get the part but he only charged $87 for the complete repair including the cost of the part. A new one would have cost around $300. Besides that, Joe was the only repair shop in all of Brooklyn that I could find who would even look at it! read more
