Like a New York public school teacher during covid, my Viking refrigerator's ice maker completely stopped working. After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. He could have totally fleeced me, but did not -- restoring my faith in humanity, but not New York's teachers' unions. read more

If you have any Viking stove needs, I highly recommend NY Viking. I submitted a request late at night and they gave me a call first thing the next morning. I had mentioned to them that my building had strict requirements for insurance and Sal sent over a COI within less than 24 hours of our call that met my building's approval. Sal was very responsive over the phone and scheduled an appointment for a 2 hour window. Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. When he arrived, he made sure to cover his shoes with blue covers and he was able to quickly diagnose that my oven door needed new hinges and gave me the price, which I agreed to before he then promptly fixed everything. For folks who want peace of mind that their oven will get fixed and don't have these technical skills, I definitely recommend giving NY Viking a call. read more

I called at 12pm about my oven igniter on a Saturday, Steven was here by 12:30pm, all fixed by 1pm. Thank you so much!

Scheduled a next day service for my 20 plus year Viking stove that completely stopped working (ignition was done). The technician, John, came on time, put on booties at the doorway and carried his heavy rolling bag full of tools/equipment to the kitchen so as not to dirty my apartment (both without me asking). John was very professional, had the part that needed to be replaced on him and fixed the problem in 45 minutes. I would highly recommend! read more

NY Viking Services are the best! They fixed a valve in my Gas Stove. I called them four years later for a different problem and they had all of my building COI information in their database. Amazing. They sent a guy the same day to check out my fridge. Quick, professional, efficient. They are my go to for any appliance repair. read more

Highly recommend. Russell arrived promptly and replaced the spark module on my stove successfully. Excellent service! read more

This is a terrible company. They made two appointments on two different days to evaluate the problem with my dishwasher but they never showed up for neither. In addition they did not even call to inform me. They ghosted me and when I called they had no excuse. Avoid the aggravation and loss of time, don't call them. read more

This was our church's second time using Appliance Pros Group. Our church's old garland stove ignitors stopped working - (we needed to use a lighter each time). This was unsafe because it meant someone could turn on the gas, and the burners may or may not light. So we called Sal and sent him some pictures. John came to diagnose the issue, and it took about a week to get the parts in, since it's an old model. Then John came and fixed all the spark ignitors/wiring and even fixed the griddle burner which was very uneven and inconsistent. Very happy with the service! And we haven't had a problem with it since! read more

I called New York Viking Services on a Friday morning. Sal answered the phone. I briefly described the issue with our Viking stove, thinking that it would be a couple of weeks before he could send someone. He apologized that I might need to wait for about an hour before the technician Russell arrived. Incredible!! Russell figured out all the issues brilliantly within a short time. He checked every part of the stove before forming his understanding. His knowledge is vast. He explained the different parts that were malfunctioning with great clarity, and the cost of the various options. Before he did anything it was very clear how much it would cost and how long it would take him. He even had all the parts we needed with him when he arrived. After doing his work, he tested and re-tested everything he had done. He did significant repairs to our 20-year-old stove. In less than two hours of work it is as if we have a brand new Viking stove. The integrity and knowledge of Russell and of this company is outstanding. The best. read more

They came. They fixed. They rocked. This review is a giant "ditto" to all the other 5-star reviews. Responsive, timely, effective. 10/10 would use again! read more

John came on time, gave us a heads up, and even brought blue coverups for his shoes to not dirty our place. But of course most importantly is that he did a fabulous job. Another company misdiagnosed the problem with our microwave, then made us wait for a part we apparently never needed and requested $850 for the job. John was amazingly professional, competent, figured out right away the problem, fixed it, and charged $340. He is very pleasant and charming, and we will definitely hire them again. read more

I calling up NY Viking Services on a Friday morning very concerned that my fridge and freezer were well above normal temps. Mike and his assistant came on by promptly that afternoon, were very courteous and diagnosed the likely problem within minutes. The proposed replacing a control board, with the assurance that if it was not a problem, I wouldn't be charged. I...never heard of that before! Usually it's just a crap shoot. But, as it turns out, Mike properly diagnosed the problem and were in and out of my place in under an hour. Prompt, clean, and efficient service with a smile. What more can you ask? I'll be sure to keep these guys on file! read more

So terrific. I left a message after 5:40 on a Monday and the owner got back to me that evening and arranged to have a technician come the next day. The technician Russell treated the oven like it was mother's. He was thorough, took his time and did a job that exceeded my expectations by a thousand percent. Your search for a great company for your Viking oven should end here. You'll never do better than these guys. I'm still really amazed thinking about it. Integrity in business is not dead. One of the best experiences I've had with appliance repair. The technician knew exactly what he was doing and was really efficient.

Alex came out and diagnosed my oven. He was very thorough and honest. He walked me through the issues until I understood the problem and offered a fair rate for repair. I definitely recommend this company. The manager who responded to my questions before the appointment was also great. I had emailed several companies and their price and service was the best. The others were rude in their reply. Alex also wore a mask during the visit and called ahead of coming. They were Timely and efficient. Thanks! read more

My oven was not working as I couldn't put on the oven. I called Viking and arranged an appointment. Russell called me before he arrived, which was right on time. He inspected what he thought the problem might be and sure enough he was correct. He replaced a new item that opened up the flame in order for the oven to start and continue working. It didn't take long at all and once he was through, he waited to be sure all was working well, which it was. He is very personable and knowledgeable and I totally appreciate the work he did. Thank you Russell. read more

Incredible service. Alex was able to come fix our refrigerator within a day of our initial call. Not only was he prompt and arrived in the first 7 minutes of the maintenance window, but he was able to fix a problem on-site that we were previously told would take 2 months to get a part. Alex was speedy, informative, and kind. 10 out of 10. Will be giving his info to our super for future work. read more

Our oven was not working at all. It was stuck on and we couldn't turn it off. We had to turn off the gas and unplug it! John showed up the same day we called. Great Experience!! Called to schedule an appointment for the next day and told them about my fridge not cooling in both the fridge and the freezer and they answered my questions thoroughly, and gave me the list of potential issues with an idea of rough range for the costs for the repair. They called me back and let me know that they anticipated the costs would be lower because the parts of refrigerator are lower for my model. They called again and let me know a technician was available the same day and asked if I wanted to move the appointment to that time which I did. Alex, the technician, called a few minutes before arriving (within the time window they gave me) and quickly determined the issue and let me know my options and the pertinent outcomes. Though I decided to get a new fridge, Alex was incredibly professional about it and even moved my fridge back into place. read more

These guys are as professional as they come. From requesting the quote to paying for the services, we had a smooth and pleasant experience from start to finish. The screening call was efficient and to the point. They were knowledgeable about our oven repair needs and were flexible with their scheduling. The entire call was less than 5 minutes. The repair man was diligent and clearly experienced. We try to keep a clean home so we offer shoe covers to folks, but nope. Tom already came prepared. He got straight to work and understood what needed to be done immediately. He walked me through the situation and his repair and confirmed his completed job. Tom was even awesome enough to help me find the specific part for a knob that I wouldn't have been able to find without trial and error. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend working with them. read more

Our Miele oven door broke. Miele was of no help on the phone and they simply recommended we contact the one authorized dealer they have in NYC (Mr Appliance). This company has yet to even respond to my contact two weeks ago and has the worst Yelp reviews I have ever seen. I called NY Viking Services instead and they responded immediately. Sal was amazing. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, then sent a technician the same day to make sure we had correctly identified the part that was needed. Miele sent the wrong part and Sal spent a great deal of time tracking down the correct one, all the while keeping me fully informed of what was occurring. John the technician was extremely professional - arriving on time, keeping everything clean, was polite and personable etc - and repaired the oven in no time. A great experience from start to finish! read more

A few days ago we felt like our oven wasn't catching quickly enough and called NY Viking Services. We thought something might be wrong with the ignitor. I spoke to a super nice and polite guy on the phone who set up an appointment quickly. Of course, I was dreading the visit because repairs can be super expensive. We just moved into a new place full of issues and none of the visits we've had with repair people, plumbers, movers, etc. have been pleasant. So when Mike came around and took a look and just explained that we have to be more patient with the oven catching, it was a relief. Finally someone who explains the issue and isn't dishonest to get more money. Since he was only here 10-15 minutes, he said he wouldn't charge us. Thank you, Mike!!! So glad companies like NY Viking Services still operate the old fashioned way. If we ever have a problem with our range or other appliances, we will give you a call. read more

Prompt reply from Sal - he got insurance certificates ready for my building and John arrived on time. Diagnosed the issue with both my GE fridge and stove. I paid in full that first day even though they needed to order the parts - my wife called me an idiot. "You'll never hear from them again!" By the next week, John was back to finish the repair and even helped replace a bulb that had shattered in the oven gratis. I'm clearly an excellent judge of character. Great service, honest, prompt and they don't just serve Manhattan. Recommend! read more
