Alex, the technician came during that time window and also gave me a call 20 minutes before his arrival to give me a heads up. I love how communicative the entire NY Viking Team is. This was our church's second time using Appliance Pros Group. Our church's old garland stove ignitors stopped working - (we needed to use a lighter each time). This was unsafe because it meant someone could turn on the gas, and the burners may or may not light. So we called Sal and sent him some pictures. John came to diagnose the issue, and it took about a week to get the parts in, since it's an old model. Then John came and fixed all the spark ignitors/wiring and even fixed the griddle burner which was very uneven and inconsistent. Very happy with the service! Mike and his assistant came on by promptly that afternoon, were very courteous and diagnosed the likely problem within minutes. Like a New York public school teacher during covid, my Viking refrigerator's ice maker completely stopped working. After weeks of warm drinks, rock-less cocktails, and an inability to put ice on sore muscles, I contacted Mike. He got back to me quickly and sent a technician here right away. Unlike a New York public school teacher during covid, the technician got to work. He removed the ice maker assembly and suggested it might need to be replaced. I began mental preparations for taking out a second mortgage, as Viking parts are absurdly expensive. In short order, he determined that the assembly worked fine (pretty impressive for a 20-year old fridge). A piece of food had gotten into it and blocked the water flow. He fixed it, put it back, and I was back in the ice-making business in no time. A few days ago we felt like our oven wasn't catching quickly enough and called NY Viking Services. We thought something might be wrong with the ignitor. I spoke to a super nice and polite guy on the phone who set up an appointment quickly. Of course, I was dreading the visit because repairs can be super expensive. We just moved into a new place full of issues and none of the visits we've had with repair people, plumbers, movers, etc. have been pleasant. So when Mike came around and took a look and just explained that we have to be more patient with the oven catching, it was a relief.
