Responded quickly, clear communications, great value, and my appliance is in working order again!

I spoke to him several times to confirm an appointment after he assured me without coming what the issue was. I ordered the part as he requested and confirmed again the appointment but he never showed up or called back my numerous calls and texts. I then decided to try and replace the part myself and after I installed it it did not fix the issue. Not only is he unreliable he is not knowledgeable or trustworthy. Avoid at all costs! read more

Robert did an amazing job installing our new dishwasher. He is clearly very smart and has years of experience and know how. Hes super detail oriented and will Make sure everything is done meticulously and correctly If anyone needs a new unit installed I highly recommend him over the Best Buy or Home Depot installers. He's honest, will troubleshoot problems and explain everything clearly so you know you're making the right move either repairing or getting a new unit. For the record the Best Buy installer tried to convince me that a dishwasher could not be hard wired and I'd need to install a plug for an additional $150 (a surprise added cost when the installer arrived after I had already paid for the installation). This was untrue, but they tried to squeeze the money at the last second. Don't waste your time with them, Robert is the real deal. An honest and hardworking business that I will gladly support over the big box stores. read more

Robert came to my home to fix my 13 year old Kenmore refrigerator. First, he asked a few questions via text to assess what could be the problem. He was willing to explain what was wrong with it and fixed it in a few hours. He replaced a start relay capacitor and the cost was reasonable. So happy to have my refrigerator fixed! read more

I called Appliance Repair Queens to fix the water leak from my mother's 10+ year old LG refrigerator based on Yelp reviews after exhaustive search on Google. During the call, he asked me few questions, guiding me on how I can answer the questions so he can assess the source of the issue. When Robert came to do the repair, he was very courteous and professional. While he was working meticulously, he let me watch and ask questions regarding not only the work but the refrigerator itself. When he was done, he happily addressed the issues that weren't even part of the scope of the work or the fee (very reasonable). I could tell a lot about the kind of technician and the person he is from that first encounter. I experienced firsthand what all the glowing reviews were all about. (My thanks to those who took the time to write them.) Right on the spot, I asked him regarding my own Samsung 10+ year old refrigerator issues and he offered to take a look then and there. I spoke to him about what repair I had gotten done previously and he confirmed what I had suspected-that I was taken advantage of with what was an easy fix with a costly part replacement. He also checked the gaskets which was the original reason for that call that the service person glossed over giving me a different answer. Then, I mentioned that my ice maker suddenly froze over and stopped working last Fall and that I hadn't done anything because of my first experience. He explained the commonness of the particular issue with the brand, showed me the replacement part and cost and his installation fee (how novel-transparent pricing from a technician). I hired him for a second repair, the same day. He said he'd order the part and that once it came in that he'd call. He did. He was here today and it was a bear of a job just to defrost the ice maker even after six consecutive nights of unplugging the fridge (his recommendation on the first day) but he patiently completed the job and successfully replaced it so that we can now look forward to ice again, in time for the summer! For anyone like me who gets anxious trying to hire a trust worthy, skilled technician, please don't hesitate to call Robert. As many have said before me, he is truly that rare person - an honest, courteous, skilled professional who will do his best and then some. read more

This is the 2nd time I used Robert. He just repaired my ref today. Why I keep on hiring him? Because he is honest, period! He was upfront and didnt charge me unnecessarily. In fact he gave me tips on what to do or where to buy if my ref gasket will need replacement in the future. Honest and reliable people are a dime in a dozen these says. read more

I recently reached out to Robert for some advice on my fridge. Although I didn't end up using his services, I was impressed by his reliability and honesty. He was more than happy to help as long as I provided clear answers to his questions, which I found to be a very fair ask. Based on this experience, I wouldn't hesitate to do business with him in the future. Robert will provide sound advice and without a doubt provide excellent results. Highly recommended! read more

When the dishwasher needed repair, I lamented having to call Sears, wait for weeks, being beholden to their time frame and then paying them too much. Taking a chance calling Robert was a great call. I didn't have to worry about waiting (he responded quickly), time frame (he worked with us) and was reasonable on cost. He did a great job and saved me from buying a new dishwasher. read more

Original review: Robert was nice on the phone and showed up at the building on time. He checked in with the doorman, but the apparently got lost in our building (it's not that big). He called, said he didn't have time to find our unit, and decided to leave. Seriously. I wish I was making this up. I tried to call him back but he didn't pick up the phone. Response to owner's comments: Someone who can't find their way in a doorman building with help from both the doorman and the apartment owner shouldn't be doing business in Queens. Someone who gives up and leaves shouldn't be in business anywhere. Wish I could lower my review, but there's no -1 star button option. read more

I'm all about efficiency! I have an LG dishwasher and I knew exactly what the problem was. I knew the exact part I needed and it was ordered before the repairman came to my house, eliminating back and forth. He was upfront with pricing. A couple issues with my dishwasher were identified and fixed as a courtesy as well. I'm very happy with the service I was provided. read more

Highly recommended! They were able to (correctly) diagnose an issue with our oven via text after I described the problem, and gave us a fair flat rate quote. Price was very reasonable, and they repaired our oven in just 15 minutes or so. Very professional and great to deal with. Would absolutely recommend, and would be happy to use their services again if we need to! read more

Robert did an excellent job putting our laundry machine back in shape. Our washing machine was having issue on and off. It was a mystery to the repair guy we hired previously. Obviouly he never solved the problem. We were frustrated with the process then decided to live with the situation for a few months. I saw great review about Robert and decided to give it a try. We are happy and grateful to find him! read more

Excellent service and professionalism. Robert installed a dishwasher and spent the extra making sure there were no leaks after the install. Also provided additional advice that my fridge should not be so close to the wall to aid the life of the compressor. read more

I called earlier today because my Samsung refrigerator was not cooling properly. I explained to the man on the phone that the fridge was making a loud grinding noise a few days ago, and I noticed the temperature dropped down to 70 degrees last night. I called to see if I could set up an appointment for someone to come by today, however there was no availability until tomorrow afternoon. He quoted me $80 diagnostic fee and approximately $200-400 for the repair, depending on what the issue was. The man who answered the call provided some advice on what I should do to try to resolve the problem. He said that there might be ice build-up near the fan and recommended that I unplug the refrigerator for 5 hours to allow the ice to melt. I did exactly as he instructed and I also tried to take the panel out on my own (with some guidance from YouTube). I discovered there was indeed ice build-up near the fan blades which caused the loud grinding sound and also affected the fan from blowing out cool air. I melted the ice with a clothing steamer and put the panel back together. I no longer hear a grinding sound and my fridge seems to be running smoothly! Although, I did not have the company physically come to my place to diagnose/repair the fridge, I was very pleased with the communication I had with them. I highly recommend this business to anyone with refrigerator diagnosis/repair needs. The man was very friendly, knowledgeable and honest. He did not charge me a dime for the valuable advice he gave me over the phone. I will definitely use this company if I have any future repair needs. read more

Called for refrigerator repair, Robert answered, asked for pictures of the fridge and it's model number. Came in with a bunch of tools, gave me a fair price for the repair, switched out the relay in the fridge, and stayed a bit to make sure it all worked. This guy is amazing. I actually called three other companies before settling on this one due to its low number of reviews and behold, ALL THREE OTHER COMPANIES had the exact same dispatch phone number and low Yelp ratings. I found them on Google but turns out that they're price gouging scammers. So I figured I'd go with Queens Appliance Repair. It also had few reviews but I ran out of options. And I struck gold. Fantastic timing, good bedside manners, did his homework, and even brought the parts WITH him. I'm always paranoid of low number of reviews but this guy is the real deal. If he handles stoves and washer dryers the way he did my fridge, I'll always be coming back to him. read more

Robert was great. He did a very thorough investigation for my dryer heating issue and methodically traced it to a broken heater coil. He explained in detail the problem and demonstrated me exactly where the issue with the coils was. After the diagnosis he carefully put the unit back together and even provided a temporary workaround with another program setting which allowed it to work with the one remaining functioning coil. Because of the age of the dryer and cost of the replacement part I decided to go with a new dryer, but for future repairs I will certainly call Robert. read more

Robert is a pro with a fastidious attention to detail. Highly recommended for appliance installation.

My Samsung fridge ice maker was freezing over. Called Robert who was able to give me a quote over the phone as this was a common problem and he just needed to order the part. I had tried to make an appointment with someone Samsung recommended when I called their customer service, but that company had poor reviews and wanted a diagnostic fee just to come take a look. Decided to go with Robert instead and was not disappointed. He came when he said he would. Was very friendly and happy to explain everything he was doing to fix my fridge. Had to change my ice maker and motherboard. I now have ice again! read more

Yes, Robert is an absolute professional!! His work is meticulous, clean and explained, in detail, everything he was doing and after the oven was fixed (replaced igniter) did a thorough check of everything. I previously called some other " repair company " and told them my what I needed... The lady on the other line rudely stopped my explanation and said they'll have to send someone to look at it ( with a service fee)... Then they will assess what has do be done plus parts... my response Was "CLICK " and luckily got in touch with Robert!... Needless to say, we very highly recommend him!!! read more

Company was unable to directly help me but the owner called me directly, explained what my options are, what the repairs might be, what could be wrong, and what to expect. He took about 20 minutes of unpaid time to send me in the right direction as well as providing me with the name of a trusted service person. He went out of his way to help a person he already knew he would not take as a paying customer. I am most appreciative. read more

I called Robert 2 years ago and recently when I had a problem with my 18 year old refrigerator. Robert did an amazing job. He was quick to respond and incredibly professional. He fixed the problem and didn't suggest a dozen other repairs. He was in and out in 20 minutes and my washing machine is working perfectly. Plus he showed me how to fix the issue myself the next time so I would not have to call someone for repairs. Amazing!!! Highly recommended. read more

Was in contact about having my refrigerator looked during a 2 hour time period. After having my broken dishwasher evaluated by another company who was going to overcharge me to fix it, I called Robert who was quick, professional and fixed it for a reasonable price! Robert was extremely helpful and honest. He showed me exactly what he was doing, and explained how to best maintain the dishwasher to extend its lifetime. I will definitely call him again if I have any issues with appliances. Before you invest in a new appliance, call Robert to see if he can fix it and save you money! read more

My LG oven went out last week. The range top worked but not the oven. I contacted Robert and let him know the issue. I thought it was either a clogged line or the ignition. He said it was the ignition and quoted me the price. He was right. Came two days later with the part, replaced it and showed me it worked. Absolutely ecstatic that my family will be able to have a (smaller) Thanksgiving dinner. Also, he is fully insured. That alone is worth peace of mind. A lot of people are not so watch out! read more

Robert was very professional, meticulous in his analysis and troubleshooting, and an overall very nice guy. I had a washer and dryer that were both in need of fixing. Robert was immediately responsive to my request and we were able to st an appointment within a day or two. He came and examined both appliances with diligence, and gave me a quote without any charges. He came back on 2 occasions, spending the time required to really adjust each and every component. He was personable and at all times kept me informed of the issues with the machines, and alerting me to the high costs of the replacement, showing me quotes from where he would source them. He helped us come to the conclusion to keep the washer and to ditch the dryer. Overall a great experience that I would highly recommend! Thanks Robert! read more
