F3. Chicken Fried Rice (Cơm chiên gà)
    Michael S.

We stopped in having read the reviews. We were not disappointed, the food was so good, light, delicious. We shared fried rice with chicken and each had a Banh Mi sandwich. My daughter had the Thai Ice Tea and I had a Taro Ice Tea. Everything was so good. Service was excellent, everyone greets you with a smile and the atmosphere is very casual and easy going. If you are in the area I highly recommend stopping in.

A solid four stars. Not the best Vietnamese I've ever had, but pretty good. I had the grilled pork plate and was surprised to see they didn't precut the meat. The flavor was good and their nuoc cham is good and spicy. The service was great. The girl was really attentive and checked on us often. The ambiance isn't much to look at. Might be better suited for take out as opposed to eating there, but it's not bad if you want to sit and eat your meal. I wanted to get boba but they don't have tapioca pearls, only the popping boba.

Went here with a coworker after hearing how good it was and she didn't not lie. The ambiance is nothing special and upon entry I wasn't sure about this place. Our waiter came over and he was extremely helpful and even made some suggestions which I took him up on and ordered the ribeye Pho which felt like a warm hug. It was absolutely amazing and I will go back for it again and again.

Spring rolls were good. If you get the bánh mì with a hot filling it kinda makes the bread soggy

Amazing restaurant. The owner is super cool! All staff are friendly. The most important thing is the pho is great! Soup is tasty, meat ball nicely chewy.

We were welcomed and seated right away. We ordered fresh spring rolls, a pork steam bun, a pork Banh Mi, and brisket pho. Overall, the food was delicious! My favorite was the Bánh Mì, the crispy bread and butter made it stand out. My least favorite was the pork steam bun, as the bun was too wet, giving it a soggy texture. The service was excellent--attentive staff and quick food delivery made for a great experience.

Cool little spot. Had a nice vibe, with booths up and down on each side and some tables in the middle. The staff were friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and I liked how they had short rib pho and "extras" that you can add to your pho like extra meat or an egg. Great experience. Will return!

Pho Perfection! Found this gem through yelp reviews for Vietnamese food in the Brandon area and it did not disappoint. Service is friendly and prompt . Tables are cleaned well and the turnaround time is quick so it wasn't a long wait. The pho broth in my opinion is Flawless. I no longer have to go to Atlanta for a memorable bowl of pho. I got the beef rib pho 5/5 which came with a generous beef rib plus meatballs and the perfect portion of noodles to soup ratio. My mom is really picky about dining out, she likes to cook her own meals usually. But her bowl of special pho 5/5 was mom approved. We normally do not finish an entire pho in one sitting because either it was mediocre or the noodles taste is too starchy. You can tell a lot of details went into making an awesome soup base. We have frequented most of the Vietnamese restaurants in Tampa however all have become ordinary. This will definitely be our go to place when in the Brandon area.

Very tasty Vietnamese food and quick service. The pho was great but a lot of the mint leaves provided had black spotting like they were going bad so I couldn't use them. The shrimp spring rolls were delicious as well. I was not a fan of the pork steam bun though it was really soggy and not fluffy how they typically are.

This is one of the best spots for a good bowl of pho. I've had the chicken and it was well prepared but the ribeye pho is my favorite. The broth is rich with all the fixings and definitely a great option when you're craving a big bowl of pho. Get their Tada wings!

This wasn't my first visit to Tara's Kitchen. I visited about a year ago for take out. The food was good, but it isn't takeout food. It needs to be served in ceramic bowls and not plastic. I had appointments one day last week and found myself at Tada's Kitchen around 11:30 (before the lunch crowd ). I was the second table to have been seated and looked through their extensive menu. They offer a lunch special of Pho. I decided on the ribeye pho and the fried shrimp rolls as an appetizer. The fried shrimp rolls were great. The chili sauce had a nice kick to it. The pickled veggies and lettuce cooled that spice down. The Pho was incredible. The broth takes 24 hours to perfect and you can tell. Rich and silky. Not salty at all. The noodles were rooked perfectly and veggies perfect. I loved the side dish of cilantro, Basel, jalapeño, sprouts, and lime for toppings. They all complimented the pho. I loved my meal and the service was perfect. There was no rush and they filled up in the 45 minutes I was there. Definitely a place to enjoy Vietnamese cuisine!

Came here with the boyfriend and did not expect to have the best banh mi of my life HOLYYYYY. We split tofu summer rolls, wings, and a beef banh mi for starters. All were solid but the banh mi was perfection. We also got pho. I got the beef short rib one and the meat fell off the bone. The broth did not need any additions (no hoisin sriracha broth drowning here). Service is quick and friendly, and it's a neighbourhood spot to get great Viet eats. 100 outta 10 would eat here again.

For me as an American it tastes really close to Caribbean food, just a little more potent or stronger. Not salty or super spicy .. just.. super flavorful. Fu fu taste like mash potatoes with no salt or butter lol. Do I recommend ? Yes. Would I go back? Yes.

I liked every sample but I ended up with the Efo Riro (pronounced eh-faw ree-raw) or the "vegetable soup" with goat and a side of fufu. It comes from the Yoruba people of Southwest Nigeria. "Efo" means greens/spinach, and "Riro" means to stir. So, it literally translates to "stirred greens." I choose this because it has a deep, savory, earthy, and slightly pungent flavor, that is the secret ingredient called Iru (fermented locust beans). It acts like umami (similar to how soy sauce or miso works in Asian cuisine). The greens are cooked down in a rich sauce made of red bell peppers, Scotch bonnet peppers (for heat), onions, and Palm Oil. The palm oil is what gives West African food its distinct richness and often a reddish-orange tint. Instead of rice, I got the Fufu (The "Swallow"). It's a white ball made from real yams, not sweet potatoes or fermented Cassava. In Nigeria, this category of food is called "Swallow." It isn't meant to be chewed on its own like bread; it is meant to be swallowed along with the soup. My waitress brought out a bowl of water and taught me how to eat the Fufu. She told me to pinch off a small piece of the Fufu, roll it into a ball with my fingers, make a small indentation with your thumb (to turn it into a spoon), scoop up the Efo Riro and meat, and swallow it. Texture is like sticky dough. It is a blank canvas designed to balance out the intense spice and saltiness of the Efo Riro. I wish I had more time but I had a flight to catch. Otherwise, I would have taken advantage of their Sunday buffet and try all the other dishes they have to offer! Oh, did I mention how amazing their entire staff is? Right before I left, another waitress gave me a puff puff to try. It's like a chewy fried doughnut and that was delicious! Will be back for their buffet when I'm in the area.

Great food in a distant Brandon mini mall…read more My daughter had an away soccer game in Lithia, and so we decided to try TasteaPho for lunch on our way home. The location was such that we usually pick a more convenient restaurant, but this time, everything lined up! The restaurant was empty when we arrived (noon on a Saturday), and it stayed mostly empty throughout our meal. I think they mostly do takeout and delivery service. We ordered: fried shrimp, french fries, edamame, soup dumplings, siu mei, and beef chow fun. And a couple drinks. The food came out quickly and piping hot. The edamame were slightly overcooked. Everything else was perfect and delicious. Everything was very tasty. Serving sizes were very good. We had a LOT of leftovers, which all heated up well. I wish this was located closer to a freeway and/or closer to the places in Brandon that we do go to, but it is worth the drive. I've already recommended the place to my parents and sister.

The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Now on to do dumplings. They had a sign that said everything is made in house, but I've been to places where they say that and it doesn't taste homemade. But I can positively say that this food was made in house! These were the best dumplings and shumai i have ever had. They were flavorful and delicious. The shumai mine was the best one I ever had. I really wanted to go back the next day to get more just to take home. The steamed dumplings were really good. I'm more so eat fried dumplings, but I love how good they were and I love the sauce that went with it. The shrimp dumplings were really good too and juicy. The dumplings are also bigger than I usually get which was very surprising in a good way because I'm used to really extra small ones. We don't have many tea rooms in this area. It was great to see another one pop up. It's a new family-owned (mother & daughter) tea room on Moon Avenue near Morgan Street. The owners have done a great job in setting the mood with beautiful décor and music. I really love how they've set everything up. It's such a warm and open space. There's even a private room for group seating. It's all very lovely. My reserved time for Royal Tea was set for 11:00 am on a weekday. It's by reservation only. I pretty much had the room to myself since it's so brand new. I don't expect that it will stay that way for too long. Everything was delicious! The wild rice soup was the first course, and it was very comforting. The sandwiches were all so tasty. I really love their grandmother's chicken salad. I'm not usually a fan of yellow curry in chicken salad, but I loved this recipe. It didn't have an overwhelming taste of curry like others I've had in the past. It was just the right amount of everything. I think it even had pecans. The artichoke & cream cheese sandwich was so unique & tasty. The same goes for the cucumber dill open faced sandwich. So wonderful! The homemade cinnamon chip scone and desserts on the top tier were all delicious. The flavor selections can be seasonal or daily, so you may get something different each time. I was hoping to try their sweet potato pie dessert, but I missed it. I'll be on the look out for it the next time it's offered. They serve Harney & Sons tea. The mango black tea was a winner. It was very welcomed on an unseasonably cold day. The service was fantastic! I was offered another pot of tea, but one pot was enough for me. I may take them up on it next time. Yes, there will be many more visits in the near future.
