Today was all about Carnitas. I was craving that smoky and spicy treat with a burst of citrus and refreshing crunch of jicama. The restaurant was bustling with the weekend crowd but as alway, the service was efficient. There is e

MMMmmmm... new taco favorite! Tacovore... fairly close, easy to get to... Nice! Service was wonderful, friendly and helpful! Placed my order for one Carnitas taco, one Chorizo Taco, and one Carne Asada taco, with a Mexican coke! Place is pretty good sized, a number of booths, and a bunch of shared tables. Fairly quiet too, considering how busy they were. Plenty of seating! Tacos were delivered quickly. Carne Asada... pretty good! Nice bit of Guacamole on it too... would order again. Carnitas taco... flavorful, and juicy, and I love the way they loaded it up. Chorizo taco... ok, not quite the chorizo I am used to... but good. Recommended!

I'm new to Eugene originally for Cali. Was looking for some yummy tacos and thought I wouldn't find something as good as back in Cali. This place beat my expectations, staff so friendly, food fresh with so many different options for everyone. The tempeh, blackened salmon, cod are my favorite!! The Jamaica is so refreshing! My go to spot and a place I tell everyone about.

Definitely a popular spot in Eugene. If you sit by the garage door, you'll be fascinated by the drivers who are attempting to leave the parking lot. Therefore, park on the street! Love the variation of sauces. I've been to the location in Portland, but I was impressed by the quality of food here. The tofu and chorizo were my favorite. I wished the chips were less salty which was my only complaint and wished there was more guacamole, but otherwise very delicious and worth stopping by. The margaritas were delicious and reasonably priced like a regular size marg of the raspberry jalapeño was $11. The hibiscus mint marg was super delicious. They seem to have a good range of seasonal drinks.

We are new visitors to Eugene. Tacovore was on everyone's list of recommendations. The blackened salmon taco on the specials menu and the carnitas taco on the regular menu were delicious. The ceviche and chips and salsa were a big hit for the table and I loved the spicy margarita!

I visited Tacovore for a quick dinner on a Wednesday and was surprised by a short line to order. There can be a long line during busy times. I ordered the Herbivore taco which had fried asparagus; the seafood taco special containing a miso glazed rockfish; a cod taco from their regular menu; and an order of chips and salsa. I loved the fried asparagus taco and considered it the best overall. The cod was also delicious. The miso glazed rockfish with gochujang aioli was a little underwhelming. I think the lack of texture also contributed. For a special, it wasn't my favorite. I left quickly after I was finished as it was very loud despite only half the seating being filled. This is not a great environment for quiet conversations or for those hard of hearing. If you want great tried and true regular menu items and a quick meal, this is your place! Overall, I am a Tacovore fan but now that the weather is colder I will keep in mind the loud environment before I dine in.

Tacovore is one of my go-to spots for tacos in Eugene. While the tacos can be a bit pricey, each one is a decent size and definitely satisfying. The place is almost always busy, and sometimes the line even stretches outside the door, which shows how popular it is. Their margaritas are delicious. I get one every time I go, and they never disappoint. One downside is the tiny parking lot. It's a hassle to get in and out, so I usually skip it and just street park. This time, I got the Carne Asada and the Old E, which were both delicious. They don't automatically give you salsa on the side, but you can go up and grab your own, which I actually like since there are a bunch of options to choose from. Not the best tacos I've ever had, but it definitely hits the spot when you're craving them.

A Eugene staple! They have lots of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options! Most things on their menu are homemade including their horchata and corn tortillas. The chips, salsa, and guac are so good. My favorite tacos are the carnitas, the el e, and the bean and cheese. I always make sure to stop here when visiting! Lines can get long so try to get there before 5pm or after 7pm but if not they always go quick! I don't drink but people always tell me they have the best margaritas.

Came here on my vacation, since it's my uncles favorite spot and the name sounds fun. We parked on the street since they have parking but it's limited. Once you walk in you immediately stand in line so start looking at the menu. You go up and order/pay for your food and then they give you a number and they bring your food and drinks (if it's beer or a mixed drink). You get your food and then you get to start enjoying it. The vibe of the place is modern...(I don't want to say hipster) but modern, small, fun place. They had modern music and had it playing at a great level so you could hear it and enjoy it but also have conversations. The food was great. I picked one taco of each.

    Ask the Community - Tacovore

    Are the vegetarian/vegan options?

They do have both! And some extra just ask them :) so deelish!

Do they have Taco Tuesday? (discount?)

They do have a happy hour! Happy hour is from 3-6pm every day and you get 50¢ off of tacos and 1$ off margaritas, draft beers, and tortas!

How is the michelada made here?

made fresh. I talked to the head chef nothing is from a can and they rarely used ingredients from a can.

    Are there vegan options?

Yes, they offer a variety of vegetarian and vegan options. They have rotating specials which also have vegetarian options. I am allergic to dairy so I often order the vegetarian options without cheese or sour cream.

With that meal you will experience actual satisfaction and contentment. That's the first thing I have to say in case you're reading for a recommendation of what to order. Even better if you have it late night after experiencing the best Handel's Messiah concert at the Hult in December. I had a small slider of corned beef along with his amazing fresh Kale salad garnish with shaved Parmesan, walnuts, added protein -- sausage. It came with a toasted slice of soda bread that was great. But the slider was how I realized the corned beef was PERFECTLY prepared. A taste was not enough; I decided to get the dinner plate version to take the next day up to Seattle with me. Fantastic staff included Barkeep Illyia, whose birthday it was. She kept up a steady stream of attentive care, skillful service, friendly banter with each of the clients that came in and said good by to them as they left. Hospitality was her middle name. Love that they have mugs for the regulars hanging from the ceilings, the bar space is great but so are the arm chairs and cushioned seats in the corners of the pub. I even ran into two other concertgoers who had also been so energized after the Messiah concert that they didn't want to go home. We spent a half hour at the bar unpacking the highs and best points of the performance by the Eugene Symphony Orchestra, and the symphony choir, and each of the soloists. We also unanimously agreed the tenor was fantastic, the baritone a paragon of artistic talent, the soprano sang incandescently, and that the final AMEN movement was soul healing and mind blowing simultaneously. Yeah. It was that good. This place was the right place to come to unpack it all over a Guinness and the best corned beef and cabbage in town. Love that it was open late enough to enjoy after the concert. Will be back.

The bar looks like it can accommodate about 30 people in the interior. There is a nice outdoor patio that can easily accommodate more when the weather is nice. The barkeeper was very attentive and observant, he took our food and drink requests at the bar and in short order, everything was presented. I had a Moscow Mule that I found to be a refreshing drink. Ginger beer, lime and vodka. An excellent combination. I also had an order of the chicken wings and fries. The fries were a normal shoestring variety, cooked well, nicely salted and came in a metal bowl. The wings I found to be outstanding! I don't usually get wings this well made unless I do it myself. I received 8 wings coated with barbecue sauce on a charcuterie board with the fries. The wings were served nicely hot. The meat was piping hot, juicy and tender. The barbecue coating was a hearty middle of the road sauce, not sweet or too smoky. It was caramelized perfectly for that sticky texture and flavor. Definitely a nice coating. Thankfully the bartender brought us a lot of napkins. The wings and fries made for a satisfying meal. The bar boasts a couple of gas fireplaces that make for a warming environment with a few semi private tables. There is a longer table for a larger group as well as several smaller tables and a few bar stools for game watching.
