Okay option if you're in the mood for tacos. We arrived as a party of two and were seated immediately. There are both indoor and outdoor seating, though we have always chosen to be seated indoors. This spot is casual and fun with an interesting interior aesthetic. Customers fill out paper menus to indicate their orders. Our server was nice and efficient, though it did take a while for our food to come out. We ordered guacamole con totopos, gallo quesadilla, and a selection of tacos. For drinks, we ordered a Lupita lime soda and an agua de piña. The tacos have different toppings depending on the main filling. I've never been to Tacombi before but I've always had it on my list of places to checkout. As per the NYC mandate you must be vaccinated to eat indoor but they offer outdoor seating as well. My friend and I had a margarita to start and guac and chips to start. The chips were well seasoned so I enjoyed it. Don't ask me about the Guac lol I'm not a fan of avocados. Up next was the Corn Esquites which reminds me of elote! It's a cup filled with corn, cojita cheese and a spicy Mayo. It's so good and a must try when visiting this place. I also tired the Carnitas taco which is was flavorful. The meat was well seasoned and juicy. I can't wait to visit again. Ordered 5 al pastor tacos (they come 3 to a container). Also used Postmates to avoid that $4 fee, but delivery took about an hour. Incredible burritos!!!! I walked by on my way to an appointment. I did not have time for a full lunch and got the idea of getting a burrito to go. Amazing!!!! Chicken is the star!!!! Usually you get more rice and beans than chicken but this guys, make sure you get chicken galore. And enough rice and beans to close the deal and not drip or fall apart. I was the best burrito I had in years. The seasoning is perfect and balanced. You do have a bit of heat but it is just that, a bit, a hint. Enough to remind you of good Mexican fare. This past week I have been somewhat of a taco fiend wanting to try out all the local taco places here in Brooklyn. Tacombi was my second endeavor and it was OK. I went for one of each of the popular tacos, 1x Carnitas, 1x Pollo Yucateco,1x Al Pastor taco with each taco being $4.49. 3 tacos here will cost you about $13 which is pretty standard with what I have seen. I tried each of the tacos with a little bit of the red and green sauce. I will say my favorite taco was probably the Al Pastor taco as it had great flavor and it was juicy. The add-on they had for it were great and it paired well and didn't give off just a pure meat taste. However, the Pollo and the Carnitas both were not flavorful and left me feeling unsatisfied. I decided to take another bite of both with some added tabasco and another lime squeeze, which made them go down a bit easier however it should not be this way. I tried 3 tacos: chicken, shrimp, and avocado tostada. All 3 were absolutely delicious and super flavorful! The tacos were packed with meat and veggies -- we worth the money! My favorite was probably the avocado tostada, with the creamy avocado, beans, and cojita cheese and the perfectly crisp tortilla. The 3 sauces that came with the meal (on the side) had a great range of spiciness for one's own preference. My friends and I also shared the street corn and beans & rice sides. I just had the worst burrito! It was so awful I felt compelled to write a review immediately after throwing half of it in the trash. I stopped in today for the first time and ordered in person to go - big mistake!! The steak burrito is supposed to have salsa in it. Mine did not, not salsa, no tomatoes at all. I also did not receive any salsa in the bag. I've ordered from the is location several times, and I always received salsa in the bag and a good amount of meat in the burrito. I don't know how it happened but I've been on a taco kick for the past month. I've been on the hunt for tacos packed with deliciousness. As I mentioned to a group of my friends, some taco spots serve tacos that resemble the leaning tower of Pisa but are quite flavorless. I'm happy to report that Tacombi is not that place but I'm getting a little bit ahead of myself. Tacombi is easy to get via mta. It's bright inside and the staff is very attentive. They also have outdoor seating if the floats your boat. Now getting back to the food. Tacombi has a simple but generous menu of items. Did I mention, they also have three different sauces at the table for your extra enjoyment. So after getting settled in ... i.e... take a thousand pics of the place and menu, I decided to get a pina colada and four tacos. I had the shrimp, pork, crispy fish and chicken. Came here for dinner to scratch a craving for Mexican. Our craving was satisfied but overall our experience was just alright. We started with the chips and guac which was pretty underwhelming bc its exactly what it sounds like, just chips and just guac. I got the chicken burrito which was much better and very flavorful. I can't believe I slept on Tacombi! I had only been here once pre COVID and a few times post once I broke my rating only home foods seal. The seating outside is spacious, so I've never had a problem getting a seat. And now indoor dinning has resumed so I see folks are taking advantage. I've tried a few tacos but my favorite is the fish taco. The al pastor was just okay, hence my four stars instead of five. The beans are delicious! And the guacamole is my absolute favorite! I can just sit with an order of the guacamole, some chips and a drink and be content. I recently tried the corn and that was delish as well. The margaritas are good. Considering that I went to school around here for almost four years and never heard of this place is shocking to me. I only recently found out about this place and we did an online order - one of the employees who we spoke to on the phone did tell us that it is faster to order online from their website rather than a site like seamless (seamless told us the delivery would take two hours but online they said the order would be ready in about half an hour). I got myself the Gringa Quesadilla and the corn esquites. The flavors were amazing! The gringa quesadilla was super flavorful and delicious - the meat was super tender as well. The corn esquite satisfied my craving for elote - it was super tasty as well. The only down side to this place are the portion sizes are pretty small considering the pricing. The corn esquite came in a tiny cup (slightly smaller than a small coffee cup from a newspaper stand). Overall, I felt satisfied with the meal but I could definitely have eaten more. Definitely a good place for food and I can see myself ordering from here again in the future! read more

When we're running our weekend errands at Atlantic Terminal, my girlfriend and I never resist stopping by Tacombi for a MICHELADA and a small bite. Seriously, they could sell their michelada mix in a bottle for top dollar! I usually ask for a little more mix on the side. That and thier fish taco is what sets them apart, in our opinions, from the 1000 other taco spots in Brooklyn. Perfect place for a quick bite and break in your day. Hmm, I'm not too sure how I feel about this spot. The service was excellent, but what I think through me off was the food. I decided to try the Al Pastor, Carnitas, and Avocado tacos. Apparently, the Al Pastor is a very popular taco. However, I found it to be really salty. Now granted, pork is a typically salty meat, but this taco I found was particularly salty. The pineapple size was annoying for me. LOL I just felt the pieces were too big for the taco. Might have been better shredded- and could have taken away some of the saltiness. The Carnitas taco was very good. Very light, but tastey. The Avocado taco was also very good. I just personally didnt like all the red onions on it. Tacos were great and the price was very affordable. I had the al pastor tacos and beer battered fish tacos. Both were very tasty and left me satisfied.
