Sometimes it's better not to get your hopes up. Why, you ask? Because when a bunch of vegetarians rave about a place it does NOT always mean that it is good (ahem...Chicago Diner..*cough...). Anyway, I'm going to take a guess and say that the tacos may be a better format for the paneer. Because putting it in burrito form was less than successful. Actually it was kind of a mess. The flavors were fine, just something was off texture-wise. It was also a bit soggy by the time I got my hands on it, so maybe that was the problem. This was a very nice Mexican restaurant and It seemed to be operated by Indians - they had a paneer taco which was so very tasty. The taco was a roti which made it so greet and the mint chutney complemented it so well. The veggie taco and enchiladas were also very delicious. Our first time visiting the Windy City & we came across this gem. The staff was attentive & asked questions which helped make us aware of their variety on tacos. The Yucatán taco with shrimp & chorizo was very different than the chicken taco. And the chicken, did I want that grilled or shredded (tinga)? Great food and service every time I go! Prices are super reasonable too, and if you dine in, they give you chips and salsa. I also really enjoy the salsa bar they have, it's perfect for supplementing their flavors. My favorite so far is the chicken fajita; they give you a massive portion and it's easily two meals worth of food for me. I wasn't super impressed by their tortas, but I highly recommend the fajitas and the tacos! I've taken my family there twice now. The first time the experience was bad and we thought maybe just because they were busy. Day. Decided to give it a try again. We ordered some chicken tacos, steak tacos, paneer tacos. The food did arrive pretty quickly. The chicken tacos I had bad odor to them. We had ordered some drinks, they never arrived. Walking out I asked for a refund of the drinks. The young lady said please sit down I will bring them to you now. There are enough good Mexican places in South Loop. I live near by and was really craving a burrito. I decided to give them and try so my friend and I went there. I had ordered the shrimp chimichanga dinner with guacamole. The first few bites were all cheese it wasn't until you got to the middle was there any shrimp. There was no beans or anything inside besides cheese and a few shrimp. There was little flavor and the texture was just gooey. The sides were hit and miss, the rice was cold, no complaints about the refried beans. Neither of us were able to finish our meals, we both got so sick so fast. All night we were very sick and had to cancels our later plans. I am very disappointed since I have heard good things but the fact that we were both so sick makes me never want to try it again. I would not recommend going here unless you want to be sick in bed. read more

This place has pretty good food and great spicy sauces, unfortunately the service is pretty poor. My family has given this place a try about 5 times, and each and every time something is missing from our order or each dish. Last night they forgot to include the sides of rice and beans, and sour cream we ordered and paid for. The time before that they forget a taco, and before that an order of nachos. I guess it's my fault that I continue to be disappointed because I keep going back after all the mistakes, but I think we finally have to stop giving them our business. Me and my mom was at this location yesterday.I ordered the ground beef burrito.She ordered the nacho supreme with ground beef.The ground beef burrito here is better than the one at "Burrito Beach",because the meat has a juiciness and it's very tasty unlike the much faster served ground beef burrito at "Burrito Beach".Despite the fact that this location was crowded in the afternoon,me and my mom still don't like the fact that it literally took them an annoying eternity to prepare our food.The female cashier on the customer service side of things here was very nice overall,but me and my mom both concur with the fact that this location desperately needs more employees to at least possibly give us a more efficient customer service.The restaurant is not an authentic Mexican restaurant,but they sure do act like it when it comes to how long it takes their cooks to cook your food though.The nacho supreme with ground beef looked so good,i might order it in the future possibly.For my side order,i wanted to try their chicken tamales.Unfortunately they were sold out,so i ended up ordering their Spanish rice instead of their french fries.Their Spanish rice was shockingly flavorless unfortunately.That's why the nice female cashier offered me 3 cups of their salsa sauces.Two of them were green,and one of them was red.The green one has a spicy kick,and i think the red one doesn't.I did ask them to not give anything spicy though.The drink selection was a primitive selection of genetically engineered sodas,Mexican drinks with and without milk,Mexican labeled sodas with cane sugar,and a non-alcoholic pina colada that i might try in the future.This location is very small with a combination of comfortable and of course uncomfortable seating.You have to dial-in the last four digits of their phone # in order to be able to use their restrooms.As far as the type of drink i really wanted from them (seltzer water or soda water),they only offer mineral water in glass bottles,but even that was sold out.Me and my mom wanted to eat inside the restaurant,but the place was so crowded,we both agreed to go back to her residence after an elongated wait of at least one hour or more just to get our small orders of ground beef food.At least they don't charge two dollars extra to add Guacamole to your food like "Burrito Beach" does. read more

Where do I begin? The Tinga chicken quesadilla tasted like it was microwaved, dropped in a puddle, then tossed into an uber eats bag.
