I came here with my gf and another couple. My friend highly suggested the spicy black bean veggie burger so me and my gf ordered it with a side of sweet potato fries. I wasn't really impressed with the burger because the black bean patty seemed sort of dry and didn't have much flavor to it. Other than that the sweet potato fries were great and our server was great as well. First time visiting here! And my last time!! It was worse than Awful!! Staff was not friendly at all at the Host desk, asked for a table and was told, rather forcefully that they could not seat us at a table without a lengthy wait. (3 clean table right next to host table) We decided to take a booth, even though I hate them. Server was prompt and very helpful, appetizers ordered and were both good. Main dish time, I wanted two Beef Tacos, I was told I could only order two tacos on Tuesday. My only choice was three. Oh well. My tacos arrived, warm, not hot, soft taco shells were cold, and the side of rice was cold. Our other plate, Salmon, same thing, cold rice. On a good note the manager did appologize after I insisted on speaking with her. She also offered to try to make it right. Don't order anything that you haven't brought your own of. Like for example, if you order something that's supposed to have BBQ sauce, bring your own BBQ sauce because they'll just quietly bring it to you without BBQ sauce if they don't have the BBQ sauce. Let me tell you the story. I had to wait an hour after being seated just to be asked what I'd like to drink. The drink came out without a straw. I had to wait another half hour to be asked what I'd like to order. I ordered a single item meal that's supposed to come with multiple things, namely two sides and some sauce. I did not special order at all so it was supposed to have the default side of fries and cole slaw. Not only did it take entirely too long for the food to arrive but neither the cole slaw nor the sauce were brought out to me. I did not touch the food while I tried to flag the waitress down to ask about the missing items. This took another half hour. When I inquired about this I was told "oh, we're out of those" in a very rude and dismissive tone. I asked "you didn't tell me you're out of them when you let me order it, did you know you're out before you let me order it?" "Yes" "Then why didn't you tell me?" The waitress sucked her teeth at me and walked away. I got up and walked out without even touching my food. As for why I didn't touch the food at all before walking out, when you order something at a restaurant, a legally binding oral contract with the restaurant is made. You order something on the menu, and when it's brought out to you, the value is created. However, it IS a contract. If they don't deliver the food you ordered, you don't have to pay for it. Now, the sauce in question is frequently paired with what I ordered, namely tartar sauce with fried fish. To me, eating fried fish without tartar sauce is like having just plain dry white toast. It's inedible. It's also NOT what I ordered, and I was NOT informed that they were out of tartar sauce when I ordered it despite the waitress being aware of this fact. 1: I would have ordered something else had I been made aware at the time of ordering, and everything would have been fine. 2: I was not informed of the lack of tartar sauce and cole slaw. 3: I detest dry fried fish, there is no value in it, as such value was not created. Therefore, I did not even touch the fries because I wasn't going to pay for a meal in which what I ordered was not delivered. I tried to ask for the manager by name and was informed that he had gone home. By the time the waitress rudely sucked her teeth at me and walked away, the food was already cold, and as such, any value in the meal was further lost. Since the value ordered was not delivered, I walked out without paying for or eating the food. I went to the Steak and Shake a quarter mile down road on Buford Dr and had myself a burger because by then I was hangry as heck because I'd been dicked around for nearly 2 hours by staff that clearly didn't want me there and could have just refused me service so they could serve a customer they actually wanted money from. Ordered takeout early evening on Saturday. Drove 25 mins to get there and 25 to get back home. We ordered 20 wings and a side order of fries and tots. When we got all the way home we realized didn't receive any of our sides. When I called the store they had disconnected their phones to not receive any calls. I understand Saturdays are busy for restaurants but to turn your phone off is just beyond uncalled for. I called multiple times throughout the night and from different phones but all were the same. The waitress whose name is Mackenzie(not sure if correct spelling) was absolutely rude and disrespectful. She rolled her eyes and acted like they were an annoyance more than anything. They ordered but began to really feel annoyed when other people that came in after were served their food and drinks before them. I was not there however I was on FaceTime with my daughter. Well long story short the management then decided that they would accuse them of stealing a beer. Police were called and yet their was not one arrest or any verbal communication from the police. I went up there and I myself spoke to one of the police officers and he had no idea what beer incident I was referring to. So in other words they used the police as a scare tactic for these young people. This is WRONG on SOOOO MANY LEVELS! As you all know I am a Mama Bear so I went up there and one of the officers asked if I need anything from him. I explained that no I did not except to find out what exactly was going on. I let him know that I was on the phone with my daughter when I heard they were being accused of stealing and that the police were going to be called. If we could give a zero, we would. Bottom line, if you have a group, move on. They "don't do groups" and they will tell you you are a "major inconvenience ". This is per the general manager, I believe his name is James but I will confirm that and update if necessary. Read on if you dare... Our group had a standing reserved area every two weeks and had been ongoing for months. There was an arrangement with management and everything was okay with the exception of being a bit slow. Apparently, the management and some staff were all fired at some point and replaced. Our group's arrangement was still honored but the service got continuously worse and worse (not the wait staff, management threw them under the bus to wait on us). They did not staff up for our visits and the wait to order and have food delivered was about 2 hours. Absolutely ridiculous. The wait staff of normally one person to 20-40 guests was continuously having to apologize. Every time we participated we never received all of our order. And the last time we went my son was served beef that tasted tainted and actually threw up there. This time was the worst. They would not seat us in a timely manner, wouldn't take our orders for over an hour. Food was not received in a timely manner even though our server was busting her butt! The staff kept pointing fingers at each other as to who was at fault, no one stepping up taking responsibility and resolve the issues and the manager was the worst! Just left Hooters 20 minutes ago, where I intended to order food for the family and eat there, but also some to take home. Due to the horrible experience with the waitress staff I decided to leave and go somewhere else with my wife. We ended up very nearby a Taco Mac. The waitress, Katie, was very kind and friendly. Our food was somewhat pretty good. I had a Clermont Burger, which was delicious. I intended to order same thing at Hooters. Now, my wife ordered the boneless wings, but they were not as good as she had hoped. Decide to sit at the bar, waitress has an attitude when we ask to have the cheese dip appetizer heated up because it's cold. Was somewhat disappointed this visit. I ordered a burger that was supposed to have mushrooms, sauteed onions and bacon, but only had raw onions, and mushrooms. I had to re-request the bacon which the bartender, sarah (who was awesome), who took care of the order within 5 minutes, got quickly. The sweet potato fries were EXTREMELY salty.., however the selection of beer that Sarah recommended helped offset that saltiness. The burgers were extremely small compared to how they used to be made..(see picture).. ...but I asked for medium, and it was cooked perfectly. Went to Taco Mac twice this week after a couple of baseball games and I enjoyed both my times there! Besides the wait each time with open tables available... the food was excellent, service was fast, and overall a great experience. I called and spoke to the manager Natasha, she expressed zero remorse for her teams mistake and took zero accountability to help resolve it and told me I can come pick it up! Seriously - why would I order delivery service and pay premium prices for the items and service / delivery fees to be told to pick up what they didn't full fill?!? She wasn't willing to do anything to rectify the issue and put the burden on me to resolve it with DoorDash. Customer no service is where we stand today. I don't know how someone could write a review about this place and not express their point of view as someone who is not fond of Sports Bars in general. Normally sports bars do not offer side attractions, like shot girls, but for some reason Taco Mac near the Mall of GA feels that it is appropriate almost every weekend. I would not recommend any guy to take a date to this particular location. Hopefully most of you guys out there have enough common sense to come to that conclusion on your own. This place does not really create an ideal environment for women either, because of the testosterone in the air and all televisions being primarily tuned into whatever sporting event is on for the day, with the volume on full blast; however, I have learned through the years that some ladies love that kind of atmosphere. The food is "Taco Mac-ish", which is a new word I created used to describe food that is greasy, and primarily consists of Chicken Wings and Mexican dishes made with an American touch. The beer is the best part of the restaurant. They have somewhere close to 200 bottled beers and 50 or so beers on tap to choose from. The best part about the beer selection is if you drink 200 different types, they make you a t-shirt! Wow, that is neat, unless you can figure out that making your own t-shirt and buying beer at the convenience store is one-thousand dollars cheaper. Great beer and good beer food is what I call it. This Tacomac is located within walking distance from the Mall of Georgia. This is a good place to come after you been shopping at the mall. Mostly, to have a drink to forget about the debt you just created and the money you just spent at the mall. Their tacos are the best here. You can get chicken or beef. The first time my friend suggested eating at a Taco Mac several years ago, I - like many other newbies - thought this was a taco place. Although they do serve tacos, quesadillas, and burritos, they are best known for their delicious chicken wings and huge selection of beer. I have grown to love Taco Mac's chicken wings, especially the 3-Mile Island (TMI) flavored wings. The wings at Taco Mac are larger than your average chicken wings, so whereas I may be able to eat around 8 wings at my other favorite chicken wing restaurants, I am full after eating 5 here. Most recently, our family of six arrived at this Taco Mac around 7:30 pm on a Friday, got a buzzer, and were seated after about 20 minutes. We weren't surprised about the wait because it's usually busy, and it was a Friday. The restaurant was seriously packed! Our family is probably the only one that doesn't care to watch any of the sports games that are shown on the numerous screens. We simply enjoy each others' company and the delicious wings. Since they're almost always busy, service here is generally pretty slow. My dad wanted to sample one of their SweetWater beers - the Waterkeeper - and it probably took about 10 minutes for our server to bring it over to him. By the time he got his sample, the beer was at room temperature and almost warm. He though it tasted weird warm, but our server assured my dad that the a full glass ($5) would come in a chilled glass, so he went ahead and ordered it. I usually don't like beer but decided to order a bottle of Strongbow Cider ($4.75). I had tried it in the past and enjoyed it, but for some reason, it wasn't as good as I had remembered it. Since we love chicken wings, my parents, younger sister, and I ordered a "Double" (20 pieces) of the TMI wings with fries and extra celery to share. My older sister, Yoomee H., ordered a "Six Pack" of Medium-flavored wings ($6.79), and my brother ordered the Kenmore Burger ($8.69). Almost half an hour after we ordered, we got our food. Since my mom had wanted celery, we got an order (a couple pieces) of celery for 65 cents. However, I'm always a little annoyed that you only get 1 sauce for every 10 wings, which is not nearly enough, and have to pay 65 cents for each extra sauce you order. Yet you get 1 sauce for a Six Pack... Why can't they give us 3 sauces for 20 pieces? =P But anyway, we got 1 ranch and 1 blue cheese. I'm a HUGE fan of Taco Mac's ranch sauce, so I have to order an extra ranch sometimes. They seriously have the best ranch sauce I've ever tasted! It's thick, creamy, and delicious with chives in it, and it's great with the fries and wings. Mmmm... * Double order of TMI w/Fries ($17.69) - The TMI wings are really spicy - only 2 levels away from the "Death" flavor (you have been warned!) - but they are so flavorful and good! =) The fries are good, too, and you get two small baskets of fries with the Double order of wings. So everything was tasty and we were happy - until we counted the number of wings in our Double order to make sure there were 20, and noticed that a piece that was ONLY the wing TIP (end?) portion of a flat wing (vs. drumette) was counted as 1 piece! We were shocked and immediately tried to get the attention of our server, but she was busy helping other customers. My younger sister noticed someone who looked like a manager and got his attention. As soon as we informed him of the mistake, he asked what flavor the wing was and said that he would be back with a few extra wings. Soon afterwards, he brought us 3 extra wings to make up for the error. He was super friendly and apologetic, which was really nice. The extra wings were extra delicious because they were HOT! The ones we had gotten earlier must have been sitting and waiting for a while before they were served to us because they weren't piping hot like that! How amazing would it be if they were always served at that temperature - and that fast! We really appreciated the manager's gesture. Overall, this Taco Mac by the Mall of Georgia gets 4 stars for their great TMI chicken wings, yummy fries, BEST ranch sauce, and OK service considering how busy they are. Taco Mac used to be one of my favorites! Sadly, recently the service has been awful! Not to mention that the quality of the food has been going down as well! I stopped by with the family today at this location (mall of GA) and long story short: - table was not wiped down, it still had cups water rings all over, and sticky in most places - it took them 30 min to bring us the food! - the salsa was in a sample size cup! One for the whole table (we had to asked them 3 times and finally we got 3 more sample cups) - we had to ask them for plates, cause they didn't even bother bring those to the table, same goes with napkins - Long hair (8 inches at least) in the salad! We told them and the replacement was served in a dirty plate with some dried food around the plate! - Almost everything except the Fajita was served cold! - the fajita was mostly onions and bell pepper, with few pieces of really dried, tasteless meet that was suppose to be steak - couple of the forks were dirty, with dried food on them Terrible service, and much worse food quality!
