We had a get together for about 50 people and wanted to keep it legal, so I decided to go with a caterer. I tried many caterers and 50 people didn't seem worth their time. I finally found Taco Head and Juan responded quickly. I was told that 50 was his minimum and that he would be happy to set us up. The price per plate was reasonable and included 3 tacos, beans and rice. There were options for carne asada and chicken. Juan did provide me with his health permit and proof of insurance. So, we decided to give it a go. Juan arrived when he said we would and started laying out the feast. He was heating the tortillas and had fresh condiments, beans and rice laid out for the hot, fresh tortillas. You add your own condiments and serve yourself the beans and rice. Everything was really good and was well received by the group. We did have food left over, which he wrapped up for us and placed in the kitchen. Juan is respectful and easy to work with. We have been wanting to try Taco Head for awhile. I ordered a pastor, pollo, and carne Asada tacos... I can't even say which was my favorite because I liked them all a lot! The red salsa is delicious with the right amount of bite. Without a doubt, one of the best Taco stands I've been to. On this day, they offered carne asada and chicken tacos the day I tried them. The chicken tacos were simply amazing. I was Surprised. The the chicken tacos were seasoned very well. I'm not sure if there salsas were home made, nevertheless, those even tasted good. My only issue was that they were slightly disorganized. So I consider myself a taco aficionado. In my line of work I drive around alot and get to try out alot of diffrent places. Recently I have been told my many family and friends to try out a little taco cart out on 97th Ave and Peoria Ave. Today I had a chance to get over there and try them out. As I walked up the guy running the cart named Juan greeted me. He explained to me that today was Taco Tuesday and the special was 4 tacos for $5. It seemed to be on point with other taco joints. He had 2 types of tacos, carne asada and chicken. I asked for 2 of each. I had everything put on it. I got my tacos and went on my way. The tacos were great! Chicken isnt usaualy offered and they were made with breast meat. I have to tell you that they were moist, tender and full of flavor. The carne asada was also very moist and full of flavor. All four tacos were packed to the top with meat and toppings. The salsa is a bit spicy but went well with each kind of taco. I was pleased with my tacoa from Taco Head. My only criticism is there are limited toppings and no real place to sit and eat. I recomend trying Taco Head out. read more
