Dined here on a Friday afternoon and it was a little busy. They had the World Cup playing on the TVs and decorated the interior which made it a fun atmosphere. It's open seating, and a server comes by to take your order. We ordered: x3 Queso Taco Birria ($3.29 ea) Consome de birria regular ($2.49) Cali Burrito ($9.99) Beans ($3.95) Rice ($3.95) Mango & Strawberry Margarita ($6.99) Michelada 32oz ($9.99) The food and drinks were okay. Nothing really stood out or left an impression. The birria tacos and consome were a little underwhelming.. the onions and cilantro carried the flavor more than the birria. The rice and beans were a bit bland and could of used more seasoning. As for the margarita, it was on the sweeter side and tasted a bit syrupy. They don't have a salsa bar but do provide red & green salsa in bottles. On the plus side, the menu is more affordable compared to similar restaurants. I just got home from ordering food from Cali Tacos in Buckeye, I was probably there between 7:30 pm to 7:50 pm My order was two queso tacos with carne asada and one quesadillas Burris style the male person at the drive-thru was rude I asked him to repeat my order he wouldn't I asked for all green salsa he gave my two red and two green this is probably my third time going to this one in Buckeye normally the service is great but not this evening he acted like he didn't want help me I asked about the carne asada was it spicy his response will it has spices in i, I would hate to think it's a race thing, not sure if I will patronize them again read more

This was unfortunately one of the most inauthentic Mexican restaurants I've been to. Even from the photo, the rice looks extremely bland and lacked the color and seasoning you'd expect. The refried beans didn't have any cheese, which is a classic preparation, and overall the tacos were lacking flavor. I ordered two carne asada tacos and one al pastor. The al pastor came without pineapple, and the carne asada was very dry. My friend ordered a torta, which they enjoyed. I tried a bite and thought it was better than my dish, though it had a lot of mayo. The bread was high quality, but it ended up overpowering everything else and masked the fact that the meat itself wasn't great. Overall, I was very disappointed with the food. Calitacos in Chandler is the real deal. Their quesabirria tacos with that consome and micheladas are hands-down the best I've had anywhere in Arizona, rich, flavorful, and made right. The vibe is chill, the staff is great been coming to this location since it opened. The food comes out hot, and every bite hits that perfect balance of cheesy, crispy, and juicy. This is close to my office so my team typically likes to grab tacos from here. I happen to stop by for lunch myself one day. I offered to try the margarita which I ultimately regretted it's a little too much syrup for my taste. The barría tacos have good flavor but I ultimately didn't like the consume. Well, this has been one of the worst experiences I had with Mexican food. I ordered 2 asada burritos and a carne asada plate. The burritos definitely not good, the meat is chewy, the beans taste like they have been sitting out for too long, definitely not a good experience. The carne asada fries had so much onions with cilantro that is insane, okay Calitacos, I get it you have plenty onions and cilantro!!! The meat is chewy as well and I don't know why, but they add refried beans to them with guacamole. Like what?.... Anyways the prices are good that's for sure, but for me definitely the food is not worth it, also the horchata is okay, really sweet like some people like it. Excited about this new location and sadly it turned into disappointment! We waited an hour in the drive through which I was OK with knowing that it's a new location and there will be a lot of people what I wasn't OK with was when we got to the window they had our order wrong so they added the tacos they had missed and asked us to go forward and wait for our food, before moving forward we asked if they can please place extra salsa since we all like extra spice she said she would place extra both red and green salsa. They took us our food after waiting another 10 min and we headed home. Well we open our bags and not one salsa in sight!!! I called to let them know and said sorry to hold on and after a minute just hung upon me. Tried eating my birria dorado tacos and the meat had no flavor and without the salsa it was a no for us so! So I hadn't been back since my last visit and I wasn't to impressed at all this time around. We walked in and yes it was a full house, but 3 different girls looked at us yet no one even acknowledged us for a few minutes. We finally were seated and had to wait about 10 mins before they came and asked us about drinks. I ordered the 3 taco plate, Pollo, cabeza, carnitas and then ordered a birria queso taco on the side. I didn't care for the pollo, the other tacos were just ok.. lacked flavor. The rice and beans were just alright not much flavor either. The one thing that stuck out to me was the napkins... literally a step down from paper... very rough. Their carne Asada sopes are also good and filling!
