Overall so good! We originally drove over to this area to go to a different place but didn't know they closed and I'm so happy this was the first suggestion for birria!! I got a birria taco and my hubs got an al pastor quesadilla. We also got a side of rice and horchata. Horchata- creamy and delish (which says a lot because I don't usually care for it) Rice- was good to me but the peas could be left out lol Quesadilla- the meat was flavorful and owned every bite. Tortilla was nice and everything was a perfect ratio Birria- OMG! The flavor was perfect and the cheese. It was so hard not to eat it in one bite lol. I foot to add consume but honestly it didn't need it. I loved the flavor and how tender the meat was I've driven past the Litchfield location and always wanted to try so I am happy we made it into this location! I found this spot tucked away in a Fry's plaza honestly surprising since I've been in the area plenty of times and never noticed it before. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. I would say inside is similar to a Filiberto's, but I don't really care as long as the food is good. I'm a big taco fan and the tacos here are just ok. (Pastor way too salty, asada seemed blah, but suadero was good) I did make a lil drive to come out here but probably wouldn't do it again unless I'm just in the area. We've had a lot of great tacos in AZ, but decided to try someplace new because of the tacos de milanesa. We love them in tortas but never tried it as a taco and it was great. They give you the option of corn or flour tortillas which is cool and it has beans as well. Flour tortilla was perfect for this taco. Also tried the milanesa torta which was probably the best thing we tried. Even better than the taco. Also tried consomé with carne, and three tacos (chicharrón, asada and tripa). Tacos were just ok. Had great potential but seemed like they sat a while. Asada was a little dry but tasted great. An hour earlier might have changed everything. Chicharrón was a little salty and tripa was just ok. Consommé was also a little salty like it had sat a while. It was kinda of late (8pm), so may have to go back and give them another try earlier in the day. The trompo was already turned off and clean, so which was the first clue and why I didn't order the Al pastor. Should have figured some of the other food was prepared earlier as well. Anyway, happy to have tried it and our new go to for milanesa and will try some other options again but earlier in the day. read more

This taco joint was a very non descriptive place right next to Frys. Walked in and was definitely a mom & pop type of place. Ordered 3 quesadillas with consommé and holy cow, tacos were crispy, beef was tender and extremely flavorful. There's a small salsa refrigerator in the corner that you can pick your choice of 3 salsas, sliced cucumbers, onions and cilantro, key limes, and cabbage. Dipping this into the consommé only enhances the flavor profile and I find myself using a lot of napkins wiping my mouth from the delicious flavors. A definite must try place in Avondale. read more

Excellent quality tacos that are hearty and flavorful. A group of three of us came here for dinner, was pretty poppin but line goes fast. I got the cabeza, tripe, and lengua tacos. ($3.25 each). All the fix in such as onion, cilantro, salsa are at the front of the register. The meat quantity is very generous, I really liked the tripe! Consommé' for dipping was great. Mixed meat quesadilla was great as well. Everything was fresh except the limes weren't cut that day. I'm a long time craft cocktail bartender and I have a weird ick when I see day/multiple day old cut limes . Shelf life is 1 day to keep from discoloration- not harmful, just not as pretty. I didn't take a photo but, we had a caramel filled churro for dessert. Their green "verde" sauce (not sure if it's actually verde but, it looked that way) was super yummy. Great service. Decided to try this place for the first time. Picked up some food for my son-in-law and I. He had Carne Asada tacos and I had Al Pastor. Both were fantastic and very well seasoned. We also had a bean and cheese burrito which was very, very good. The tortilla seemed homemade. Service was fine... very quick and efficient. I'm so glad I found this place. The kitchen staff was full and lots going on back there. Bringing out orders very fast. I tried three different meat street tacos and all were very well made and delicious. The salsa/condiments bar is convenient and allows everyone to garnish as you please. 3 salsas to choose from and much more. It's tucked in the corner so don't miss it. I was super pleased with my food along with my party and whatever they ordered. I do think they are missing out without offering fountain drinks. Maybe due to the space. The drink options available are cans, fresh waters and beer thus price margins are higher. I really think some menu items should be little more inexpensive. Will I return? Probably.
