Quesadilla with barely any meat.
Tony M.

Tacos are decent. The asada meat had a lot of fat. I also got an asada quesadilla flour and it was not good literally had like 8 pieces of meat. Not the first time I get a quesadilla. They always leave the meat out for some reason. The service was okay. The Ambiance to nice too. Overall for the price not worth it.

Shells were crispy with that lacy cheese edge that just shatters on the first bite. Everything stayed together, even when the grease tried to soak through. The birria had deep flavor but no heaviness--more like a slow build than a punch, and the beef was soft without falling apart into mush. Carne asada had a char that gave it some bite and that little hit of salt that makes you keep going back for more. Chicken wasn't dry at all, actually had some smokiness to it, which felt rare for a taco spot this fast. Green sauce was cold and creamy, not too spicy, kind of perfect with the lime they throw in. Tortillas were the real surprise. Corn but crisped up with cheese, like someone cared about that texture on purpose. Whole thing felt indulgent but didn't sit like a rock in your stomach. Cheap, fast, full of flavor, and nothing tasted like it'd been sitting around. Would go back for the asada alone.

Vampiro de carne asada & al pastor

I've had Joe's via their food truck, to go, and dined in. In every experience the food has been incredible! This family-owned Mexican gem is known for their toasty tacos -- where cheese hugs the tortilla for a next-level bite. They have fresh, house-made corn tortillas, incredible vampiros, and their red salsa is so good! Their agua de Jamaica is also a go to! Can't stop won't stop raving about Joe's!

We had a carne asada quesadilla, butcha vampiro, pastor taco and an asada burrito.

Lady at the counter was really friendly and went over the menu with us as it was our first time here. Place is fairly busy and after I ate I see why! The food was amazing and had great flavor. The burrito is $12 bucks but for the size, so worth it. It's not like other places, they actually serve you a "need two hands" kinds burrito. The salsas were on point and had a good kick. The place is chill and what you would expect with a taco shop. I really enjoyed the music they had playing as well.

Decided to try Joes tacos for the first time today. Driving down dysart and thought why not! I ordered an Asada Burrito and the wife ordered and Asada quesadilla. At first glance coming in the business is really clean, small mom and pop shop feel! Price wise seems Pretty expensive $26.88 for one burrito and quesadilla. After getting the food really disappointing for the price tag. The burrito was no bigger than a beefy 5 layer from Taco Bell but triple the price. The quesadilla was extremely dry needed oil or butter on the tortilla while cooking on the flat top. The saving behind the quesadilla was the Carne Asada was really tasty! The burrito 1.5 out of 5. Beans tasted like they were straight out of a can. Their name is Joes Taco so maybe their tacos are way better but I couldn't recommend the burrito or quesadilla for the price vs taste, vs size.

Crispy Pastor Tacos (marinated pork)

Great Service. Both ladies working the front were friendly and smiling. Tacos are priced right! A smidge bigger than your normal "street taco" size. So they're filling. The corn tortillas made fresh and thick so they won't fall apart on you. The salsa bar only had two salsa options, but no need for more. Both green and red salsa were tasty, and not too salty. We tried the asada and pastor tacos. My fave out of the two was the asada tacos. We ordered the crispy tacos. (Grilled Cheese over the tortilla) They came with onion, cilantro and guac. (Optional- they ask if you would like those added onto the tacos) They come with lime slices on the side. The agua fresca was ok. Maybe it was an instant horchata. Did not taste homemade. We didn't mind as the tacos were the hit! My kiddos tried bean and cheese burritos. The beans had cracked pepper in them or something alike. Since they were a tiny bit spicy. They enjoyed it, they didn't say it was too spicy. (They eat hot Cheetos so I knew they could handle it) lol Safe to say we are returning customers! Plus they had a cute little bible verse on their cups. Love supporting other believers!

Bottled Horchata

I will preface: My husband loves their carne asada tacos. Their tortillas are homemade. Both corn and flour. I ordered the corn on advice of my husband. But I truly didn't like them. I don't know if it was a bad batch, but they were spongy and fell apart. The meat- I ordered pollo and pastor. The chicken was breast meat, I think. To me, it was not flavorful. The pastor was better. My husband also ordered a quesadilla which was freshly made and very good. The horchata was ok. It was pre bottled and was also- a little watery. I will come again, because my husband swears by them and I am hoping that I just came on an off day. I do want to try a burrito next time. Service was fast and friendly. The inside is seat yourself and pick up your food, with a fairly large dining area.

Two toasted chicken tacos, 2 toasted carne asada tacos, one red and 1 green toasted tamales!
F G.

My brother suggested this taco spot so we finally got a chance to try their toasted tacos and seasonal toasted tamales. We've tried toasted tacos elsewhere and they were too greasy, but Joe's toasted tacos were crispy. Not soggy from the grease like the other place. This store front has lots of seating for a large group. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. The chicken tacos were seasoned just right. No need to add the sauce from the salsa bar except maybe add the pickled onions also available at the salsa bar. The red sauce from the salsa bar was delicious- just the right spicyness with a tang. If you want a little more heat, add the green sauce. The green tamales were really good, although it could have had a little more meat in it. The red tamales were a tad dry but I still enjoyed the flavor. This is my first time trying toasted tamales and I liked it prepared that way; very tasty and a clever way to serve them! Hope they will continue to have it on their menu! It's the season for tamales! We will definitely frequent Joe's tacos and try other items on their menu!

Keto Taco / Asada / Everything on it
Luis H.

Went her with a few of my friends who had gone there and it was pretty good. I had ordered 4 Keto Taco's with Asada and everything on top and it was like an 8/10. The quesadillas were greasy but that was to be expected with the grilled cheese on it. Also ordered a medium horchata with it and it was okay, not the best but it would satisfy you. Overall my order costed like $20 but I had ordered everything on my tacos so I don't blame it. The person who took my order was straight forward and welcoming, I had no confusion and was satisfied with the service. The ambiance was nice but not really themed, just some seating with a painting of the logo on a wall.

Overall so good! We originally drove over to this area to go to a different place but didn't know…read morethey closed and I'm so happy this was the first suggestion for birria!! I got a birria taco and my hubs got an al pastor quesadilla. We also got a side of rice and horchata. Horchata- creamy and delish (which says a lot because I don't usually care for it) Rice- was good to me but the peas could be left out lol Quesadilla- the meat was flavorful and owned every bite. Tortilla was nice and everything was a perfect ratio Birria- OMG! The flavor was perfect and the cheese. It was so hard not to eat it in one bite lol. I foot to add consume but honestly it didn't need it. I loved the flavor and how tender the meat was I've driven past the Litchfield location and always wanted to try so I am happy we made it into this location! Definitely will have to make my way to that one since it's a little closer to home. Also the seating is ample inside and the girls are nice! Kitchen was quick as well. Even when it was dead to watching alone form, they busted out those orders

I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

Firstly, the staff was incredibly friendly. The girl behind the counter was very sweet and even brought our food out to us. As for the atmosphere, it's fine. Nothing too fancy, but it's clean and that's all that matters to me when I'm trying to get lunch. The food came out fast and overall, the favorite among my whole group was that the quesobirria tacos were the best. They were incredibly flavorful and the birria was very warm and comforting. I understand some people here on yelp had some feelings about the texture, but as a very texture-sensitive person, I was unbothered by the feel of the "meat". If you've ever had jackfruit meat before, you will be used to the texture. For the fish tacos, my partner said texture wise, it was very appealing. Pickled onions and cabbage were a good compliment to the battered cauliflower. Easy and light. My partner was very happy with his choice. Lastly, the surf and turf burrito- My friend said it was a nice texture throughout, a good mix of flavors, and he liked the size of the burrito. Thank you for the wonderful food, Tacos Veganos. I was so glad to actually be able to share food with my partner :)

Inside dining wasn't very big, but it was an off time, so there was plenty of seating available. They serve chips and salsa as soon as you sit. The chips were fresh and barely salted (which we like). I always ask for some guacamole with mine, I'm not a big salsa eater. Hubby really liked the salsa, but the guac was excellent!! Hubby ordered the 2 Cheese Enchiladas and I got the Large Taco Plate (I chose Carnitas and Al Pastor). They were served alongside rice and beans. The beans were nice and runny with cheese melted over. Hubby really enjoyed his enchiladas...they looked good, too. I asked for no cilantro (not a fan), so they doubled down on the onions, I guess. So many onions, I could barely make out what was in my tacos...LOL! After getting rid of some of them, I dug in. The tortillas were a bit dense, so I ended up taking the meats out of them and mixing it up with the rice/beans. The Carnitas were very tender, as was the Al Pastor. Service was fast and our server was very friendly.
