Truly a hidden gem. These are, by far, the best tacos I've ever had. Tucked away in a mini plaza is the spot with the best asada and corn tortillas a gluten-free girl could ever ask for! Normally, corn tortillas are very flimsy but these tacos were perfectly thick with a good amount of bounce. The meat was so fresh, hot off the grill and it comes topped with onions, cilantro, and guacamole with your personal wedge of lime tucked underneath the taco. The sauce area was well-kept, with workers checking up and cleaning up spills around the clock. There's plenty of seating indoors and it luckily wasn't packed around 2 pm. Our dishes were out within 5 minutes! I'm a bit saddened because they used to serve tacos with a big chile güero, but perhaps they ran out. Other than that, these are seriously the best tacos I've ever had and I highly recommend that anyone in the area, or even out of state, gives this spot a chance. read more

I tried this business yesterday because it had some great reviews. I kind of realized that a lot of those great reviews were for the food truck . So I don't want to come down hard on this business I know everything is expensive however, they charge a lot and I'm pretty sure they are using powderd guacamole and sour cream . I paid for a tiny cups of watery whatever that was . Check it out for yourself. Not Guacamole or sour cream I have ever seen. The rice inside what I was eating tastes off . Like someone stuffed it with old soggy cream of wheat . Not like any rice I have ever tasted . Chicken was weird . Like everything tasted so off I couldn't even eat it after a few bites . It's like fake food . Something they mixed with water . Then to top it off the soda tasted like mold . Please clean your lines for your soda . Or have it tested . If you're going to charge expensive prices you need to make sure your food is fresh . It's going to end up hurting your business. I feel bad leaving this review but I hope the owner of this business looks at it and makes some changes to bring the quality up. Wanted tacos and didn't feel like going all the way to the east valley to my regular taco spot so decided to give this place a try. The menu is super simple but that's not a bad thing. They have just about everything you would need from a taco place. The employees are super friendly and helped me with my order. The Al Pastor tacos had good flavor but the meat was dry. The birria had deep flavor but no heaviness--more like a slow build than a punch, and the beef was soft without falling apart into mush. Carne asada had a char that gave it some bite and that little hit of salt that makes you keep going back for more. Chicken wasn't dry at all, actually had some smokiness to it, which felt rare for a taco spot this fast. Green sauce was cold and creamy, not too spicy, kind of perfect with the lime they throw in. Tortillas were the real surprise. Corn but crisped up with cheese, like someone cared about that texture on purpose. Whole thing felt indulgent but didn't sit like a rock in your stomach. These are the best tacos I've ever had. I get the Toasted Taco with nopales and no guac, then add their red salsa to it. A toasted taco somehow caramelizes cheese onto the entire surface of the taco. That magic pairs perfectly with nopales, which are sliced prickly pear cactus, a superfood. I love these tacos so much. read more

Lady at the counter was really friendly and went over the menu with us as it was our first time here. Place is fairly busy and after I ate I see why! The food was amazing and had great flavor. The burrito is $12 bucks but for the size, so worth it. It's not like other places, they actually serve you a "need two hands" kinds burrito. The salsas were on point and had a good kick. Decided to try Joes tacos for the first time today. Driving down dysart and thought why not! I ordered an Asada Burrito and the wife ordered and Asada quesadilla. At first glance coming in the business is really clean, small mom and pop shop feel! Price wise seems Pretty expensive $26.88 for one burrito and quesadilla. After getting the food really disappointing for the price tag. The burrito was no bigger than a beefy 5 layer from Taco Bell but triple the price. The quesadilla was extremely dry needed oil or butter on the tortilla while cooking on the flat top. The saving behind the quesadilla was the Carne Asada was really tasty! The burrito 1.5 out of 5. Beans tasted like they were straight out of a can. Their name is Joes Taco so maybe their tacos are way better but I couldn't recommend the burrito or quesadilla for the price vs taste, vs size. read more

Great Service. Both ladies working the front were friendly and smiling. Tacos are priced right! A smidge bigger than your normal "street taco" size. So they're filling. The corn tortillas made fresh and thick so they won't fall apart on you. The salsa bar only had two salsa options, but no need for more. Both green and red salsa were tasty, and not too salty. We tried the asada and pastor tacos. My fave out of the two was the asada tacos. We ordered the crispy tacos. (Grilled Cheese over the tortilla) They came with onion, cilantro and guac. (Optional- they ask if you would like those added onto the tacos) They come with lime slices on the side. The agua fresca was ok. Maybe it was an instant horchata. Did not taste homemade. We didn't mind as the tacos were the hit! My kiddos tried bean and cheese burritos. The beans had cracked pepper in them or something alike. Since they were a tiny bit spicy. They enjoyed it, they didn't say it was too spicy. (They eat hot Cheetos so I knew they could handle it) lol Safe to say we are returning customers! I will preface: My husband loves their carne asada tacos. Their tortillas are homemade. Both corn and flour. I ordered the corn on advice of my husband. But I truly didn't like them. I don't know if it was a bad batch, but they were spongy and fell apart. The meat- I ordered pollo and pastor. The chicken was breast meat, I think. To me, it was not flavorful. The pastor was better. My husband also ordered a quesadilla which was freshly made and very good. The horchata was ok. It was pre bottled and was also- a little watery. I will come again, because my husband swears by them and I am hoping that I just came on an off day. I do want to try a burrito next time. Service was fast and friendly. I'm extremely disappointed with Joe's Tacos. My coworkers and I ordered lunch from here, and shortly after eating, we all became seriously sick with what appeared to be food poisoning. The food tasted off, and the quality was nowhere near acceptable. This place clearly doesn't prioritize food safety or cleanliness. My brother suggested this taco spot so we finally got a chance to try their toasted tacos and seasonal toasted tamales. We've tried toasted tacos elsewhere and they were too greasy, but Joe's toasted tacos were crispy. Not soggy from the grease like the other place. This store front has lots of seating for a large group. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. The chicken tacos were seasoned just right. No need to add the sauce from the salsa bar except maybe add the pickled onions also available at the salsa bar. The red sauce from the salsa bar was delicious- just the right spicyness with a tang. If you want a little more heat, add the green sauce. The green tamales were really good, although it could have had a little more meat in it. The red tamales were a tad dry but I still enjoyed the flavor. This is my first time trying toasted tamales and I liked it prepared that way; very tasty and a clever way to serve them! Hope they will continue to have it on their menu! It's the season for tamales! We will definitely frequent Joe's tacos and try other items on their menu! read more

Went her with a few of my friends who had gone there and it was pretty good. I had ordered 4 Keto Taco's with Asada and everything on top and it was like an 8/10. The quesadillas were greasy but that was to be expected with the grilled cheese on it. Also ordered a medium horchata with it and it was okay, not the best but it would satisfy you. Overall my order costed like $20 but I had ordered everything on my tacos so I don't blame it. The person who took my order was straight forward and welcoming, I had no confusion and was satisfied with the service. Simple but Really Good I was excited when Joe's opened their doors. On this visit we ordered the pastor and toasted tacos and both tacos were delicious. Many taco places skimp on meat but Joe's isn't onevof those places. Every taco is plentiful and flavorful. Every single taco is full of meat, sauce, and plenty of cilantro and onions. By the way, make sure you try the red hot sauce, it's phenomenal.  I washed down my meal with a horchata drink. Their self bottled Horchata delicious. Joe's also offers several agua frescas flavors to choose from. Great Tacos, fair pricing, and friendly service. . Establishment itself was clean and the employees were super friendly. The GOOD: tacos are what to expect as far as it gets with carne asada. The place is very clean and organized. Salsa is good but the itty bitty salsa cups don't allow for a good quantity of salsa, you have to carry like 8 itty bitty cups for a full meal.. The BAD: tacos are ok nothing to remember, the price of the quesadillas are very pricey- is it the cheese? The aguas frescas are bottled. Closed on Sundays to honor the Lord, there no combo plates with inclusive rice or beans. Final account: I would go again because of how organized and how polite the staff is, I would go again if all other reasonable places were closed. The air conditioning was at a good temp at 110 degree heat outside. This place does not smell like a sewer drain, it smells rich of carne asada. read more

Honestly. Tacos are mid. They move SUPER slow here. My go to is Ta Carbon in Glendale but it's far. So this is what's near my place. Slim choices on salsas here. But damn. Waited 25 min for 5 tacos and only 4 orders ahead of me. Ta Carbon will move about 20-30 orders in that same time and the food is better. And cheaper lol. read more

First of all $31 for two people for just a variation of tortilla meat cheese and salsa shouldn't cost that much. Mexican food was never meant to be expensive but I guess it is just a sign of the times. Now for the food, it's was quite delicious. The handmade tortillas were a nice touch and very good.
