Tacos Chilango - Birria Taco Carne Asada Taco - Mexican Near Me - Litchfield Park, Arizona

This place is the bomb and much easier to visit than their Dysart venue! My family craves their carne asada and as a vegetarian myself, I have to say that their bean & cheese burrito was no afterthought on their menu (it was creamy with a hint of heat). I really appreciate that, especially at a protein focused establishment. Also, their salsa bar is on point! Nice job you guys! read more

Too pricy, and the food was meh. If you like spicy food, then this is good for you, but again too pricy for the portions.

Tacos 4 life!!! A little bit of Mexico City in Buckeye AZ. The service is great and fast and love the self service salsa bar. They serve fresh handmade corn tortillas with their delicious choices of many meats for your tacos. The suadero and pastor are my go to tacos at this place because that is what Mexico City is known for and they do not disappoint! Generous portions with the tacos and salsa that hit the spot with spice. The vibe in here is great and they even have a small bar and outdoor seating. Great lunch or dinner spot if you are in the Verrado area of Buckeye AZ! read more

Friendly service. Because it was our first time they gave us all the different salsas to try and they were all delicious. Tacos were great. We took our order to go but the restaurant was lively and busy. Will go again and again! read more

My family and I wanted his location for a celebration. We love the food and the service. We just wish they had combos available for cost-effective reasons and for family size of four or more. We love the steak, queso tacos, and the regular steak tacos with rice and beans. They do have a bar located on the side for alcoholic beverages and also have a station for your toppings for your tacos as well and or if you do to go orders they will give it to you in a cup as well to take home. And it would be nice if they will have Uber pick up available and combos and or family male deals available read more

Wow! I think I've found my new favorite Mexican restaurant!!! Tacos Chilango is a casual Mexican restaurant in the Fry's shopping center on Dysart road in Avondale. We met our son and daughter-in-law here for lunch after listening to them rave about it for several weeks. Our son loves birria tacos and he loves these. Our daughter-in law had the carne asada tacos and enjoyed them. They have some dishes I haven't seen before: Machete and Huaraches. My wife and I decided to try the Huaraches. She had chicken and I had carnitas. They were amazing! Huaraches have flat, slightly thicker than normal oblong blue corn tortilla base. The beans, meat, Fresca cheese and cojita cheese are on top. There is mozzarella and lettuce on the side. I went to the salsa bar. They keep everything refrigerated and ask you to keep the lid closed when you're not using it. There was a good selection of salsas and other toppings. I selected cilantro/onion and two different green salsas. After preparing everything, I dug in. The meat had a light smokiness that really set the dish apart. I will be back. read more

Full video review: https://youtu.be/YET5WmsDRZA Tucked away in a quiet stretch of Litchfield Park you will discover Tacos Chilango's authentic Mexico City flavors. This place is where quality and hospitality come together for the kind of honest, soul-satisfying food that reminds you why tacos became a global obsession in the first place. The smell of grilled meat hits you before you even reach the door. Their tacos al carbón are charred just right. Folded into warm, handmade tortillas you're in for the real deal. You'll find birria that drips with flavor, machetes that feed the hunger of a long day, and queso shrimp tacos with that perfect crispy edge. It's food made by people who care deeply, and that care is evident in every bite. No pretense. No shortcuts. Just damn good food, served by people who know exactly what they're doing. read more

Love this place nice ambience delicious tacos and best Margaritas can't go wrong here

Great service and a welcoming atmosphere. The pork belly and pastor tacos were by far the best ones we had. Both packed with flavor. The pastor with pineapple was a nice balance. The chicken was just average and the asada was fatty. They both lacked seasoning. The chips were nice a crunchy. The pineapple frescas was delicious!!! They have a salsa bar. 3 types of salsa, onions and cilantro, cucumbers, and limes. This was close to a 2 star, but again, the pork belly, pastor, and pineapple frescas were really good. read more

OK, OK! I have done reviews on Mexican food in the valley and I will say that this spot is absolutely hands-down the best!! When I tell you that my queso chicken taco was bomb.com-scrumptiouslyishish... OoooooMmmmmmmmGggggggg Goooooood?!?! STOP IT! So so so good. Our food was amazing my husband said he'd drive here for now on to get Mexican food. If you know him... that leaves me speechless . We had a great time and I'm glad we got there when we did because after we got there and got our food and sat down everybody and their grandma showed up. There was a line. I am so happy this place is here and not too far from us. I mean it ain't down the street but I will drive here to eat. OK! The place isn't huge but it's quaint and nice and got some pictures on the wall. Customer service was a plus. They were friendly, courteous, and nice and greeted you when you came in and greeted you when you went out. They have a bar area as well. Check the pictures on what we ordered because I can't even begin to write this all down OK. Just get here when you can and give it a try and come back for more. You know a place is good when their rice and beans are on point OK fresh! They're very tasty like flavorful OK! Marinated for days type flavor! The bar was great for all your toppings. And don't even get me started on the green salsa and the light green salsa. OMG so delicious you could put it on everythang. Thank you for having us Tacos Chilango. Keep up the great work and keep serving up them queso tacos. read more

Good tacos fast and friendly service. Kids are simple and liked the quesadillas, good location

Absolutely great place! There is energy, it's reasonable, drinks are great, the tacos are top notch. 100% would recommend. Small but mighty

We have now made repeated visits to Tacos Chilango, and it has proved far better than my first experience. I was hesitant to return after a somewhat lackluster birria on my first visit. My second and subsequent visits, however, were a much improved. 1. Try the shrimp queso taco. Just trust me. 2. My husband got a few tacos (regular tacos are "street" sized, queso tacos are larger) and was floored by the asada and al pastor. He spent 2 years eating authentic Mexican cooking, and this is the flavor he's been missing ever since. Highly recommend. 3. The aguas frescas are fantastic--watermelon is my favorite, but the cantaloupe (melón) and hibiscus are also tasty. My daughter loves their horchata. Honorable mention to the quesadillas and huaraches (similar to tostadas with toppings). This is our go-to taco shop, these days. Glad I gave it another chance. read more

I went again to try a burrito and a few tacos to bring home after I had a bad experience with them the first time with small portions. When I got home my burrito was mostly filled with beans and rice and very little meat. I had cut the burrito in half and measured the meat and it barely filled a measuring cup 1/3 full. I couldn't believe my eyes. I called the manager who told me everything is measured. I told her I'm going back to Oscar's taco where a burrito is filled with just the meat, for only 50 cents more. My Oscar's taco burrito is Almost 2 cups worth of pork meat. I won't waste my time at tacos chilango ever again. read more

The owner of this business is a complete liar and a crook. Do not eat here unless you plan on getting food poisoning. The employees are rude and condescending. THEY SERVE UNCOOKED CHICKEN. Several people have told me about issues they have had with this establishment. NOT GOOD BUSINESS. You lost a someone who could have been a repeat customer. Instead of owning your mistake and doing better. I'm telling everyone I know AND many people who I don't know to NEVER EAT HERE. Absolutely delicious!! Always is just yummy!!! Owner is very hands-on.. their margaritas are super good!!

I wanted to like this place, but it just didn't work for me. They were pretty busy, which mean it was LOUD (not their fault really), but it kinda chaotic, regardless. Four of us ate, all liked the food well enough, but nobody was blown away. I had the Campechano, which would have been good, but the chorizo was really dominant. Kinda just all tasted like MEAT. I was really bored of it by the end. Bonus points for the salsa bar. Some fun extra things, and I liked that you can add your own onions and cilantro to the tacos (for wimps like me who hate onions). read more

I'm not from Arizona, but every time I touch down, Taco Chilanga is one of my first stops! No question about it. The tacos are always fresh, flavorful, and packed with authentic Mexican flavor that's hard to beat. everything is seasoned to perfection and served hot. It's the kind of spot that makes you feel like you found a hidden gem, even though the locals clearly already know what's up. If you know, you know. *No pic but if I ho back before I head home. I definitely will add pics* read more

Best most authentic Mexican restaurant in buckeye. There are way to many to choose from, but this is head and shoulders the best.

Really good, I just wish it wasn't $3-$4 a taco. But. it's a nice treat every once in a while. They have a variety of meats and they're all really good, but this time around, they were a little hard. Not like a rock, but like overcooked maybe? It didn't ruin the meal but for the prices I'd hope for something better. Overall, everything tasted pretty good. Their horchata was very tasty. Ultimately, I'd go again. This was the first time the meat was like this. It still tasted great but maybe it was just an off day. read more

Tacos Chilango - Tacos of: Carne asada, Al Pastor, Grilled Chicken, and a Campechano. - Mexican Near Me - Litchfield Park, Arizona

This place continues to be my go-to spot for Birria tacos--hands down the best I've had anywhere around! The flavor is rich, the meat is tender and juicy, and the consommé is absolutely packed with depth. Every bite hits with that perfect balance of savory, spicy, and satisfying. If you're a fan of Birria, this place is a must-visit. Yes, the prices are a bit on the higher side compared to some other spots, but in my opinion, it's worth every penny for the quality you're getting. Portions are solid, and everything tastes freshly made. You can tell they care about the food they're putting out. Service has always been fast and friendly, which only adds to the experience. Whether dining in or grabbing food to-go, I've never had to wait long, and the staff is consistently welcoming and attentive. If I had to nitpick, I'd say budget-minded diners might notice the price tag--but when the food's this good, I think it justifies itself. Would definitely be 5 stars if it wasn't for the hefty price tag for each taco! Highly recommend if you're craving Birria tacos that actually live up to the hype! read more

Authentic Mexican cuisine with exceptional flavors. Check for a location near you and check out the best tacos in the valley.

My son ordered a burrito and a CHICKEN quesadilla. The young lady who answered the phone did not understand or misunderstood the order. She entered burrito and CHEESE quesadilla....She also do not ask for a name for the order so when I got there, she asked me to read off the items, when I kept trying to give her my name she kept saying, what was the order not the name....When I called to inform her of the error there was no accountability taken. She just kept going back and forth with me about she heard quesadilla so she thought it was a cheese quesadilla. The only resolution provided to fix this problem was pay the difference for the chicken and they'll put it on the side!! I asked for a manager she said no manager is there just staff only.... How ridiculous!!! This place used to be my favorite place not anymore. One mistake like this can lose a great customer for good. I will not refer anyone to this dysfunctional language barrier company! read more

Ok I am giving 4 stars because the food I had was very good and the service was friendly and fast, but...my husband's chicken taco was not edible because it was soooo hot. They let the kitchen know but it was not removed from the check. The server did offer to replace the tacos but he declined because he ate my tacos. I don't blame the restaurant as they did offer..my margarita was good and the sauces salsa bar is yummy. I liked my food but they need Taco Tuesday specials, so I might be able to get him to come back again . read more

Decided to stop in at their newest location in Buckeye. Place is jam packed and super small. The line is consistent in this place and there is barely enough room to walk around and walk to even place your order or to get to your table. It's as if the tables were pushed closer together to make room for more seating. We were a party of three adults and two children and sat at a high top table, perfectly. The food: We placed an order for a variety of tacos and meat, bean and cheese burrito, and a Birria machete. We ordered aguas to drink: horchata and jamaica. The Al pastor was good and flavorful. The asada on the other hand had a puddle of oil settling with the meat and the tortilla was soaking it all up. The machete was huge and definitely enough to share and or split. The cabeza and Birria was good and flavorful. The jamaica was flavorless and we were drinking colored water. The service: Man of zero stars was possible....so sad to see this is how others have had the same experience and yet they have failed to address it. Once you place your order the worker comes out to your table with your order. This person literally threw the plates on the table. So disgraceful and disrespectful. They brought more food to the table and we let them know if wasn't ours and they continued to say it was after everyone already had their food. I mean, I'm pretty sure I would know if we were missing food. Either way not a good start for the business. read more

Okay ... guacamole delish Salsa - all three were delish. Everything was great per my hubby and my best friend. She had a cheese quesadilla and my husband had the Queso Tacos and refried beans .. the beans were amazing. When I asked the guy who brought the food to the table if they had silverware for some reason he looked annoyed but brought me the knife and fork. Then he was asked for another plate as the mens tacos were all on the same plate and they didn't know whose were whose. When asked for the plate he went to get it and by the time he brought it back, they had started dating and didn't need it... he again, gave a bit of a dirty look. My friends hubby said "I think he just gave me a dirty look" I said "I'm sure he did as I got the same look" I think he was the owner, the fact that my face cannot hide my feelings is something I can relate to him So I don't know if I'm upset with him or want to be his friend. I had a chicken quesadilla and the chicken was awful. It was hard and I had to keep taking pieces out of my mouth. My friend's husband ... ordered something with chicken and he experienced the same thing. It was like deep fried but not the good pieces of the chicken ... couldn't even bite it. It's My husband loved his tacos, the place was incredibly busy which is always great to see for a new place. read more

Love their Queso Birria tacos!! I hadn't had anything like them before, but I'm totally hooked now!

I'm a taco fan and I've been eying this place for a while. I happened to be at a store nearby and went in for lunch after I finished my shopping. I ordered the carne asada taco and el pastor quesadilla, size medium, which they call the Gringa. While waiting I gathered all my taco condiments at the condiment bar. They had cabbage, limes and 3 salsa options. I only tried the crema salsa, it was the one that looked like most people chose. It was extremely tasty. Service was fast! The portions and meat ratios fantastic for the price. I loved the crispy char on the carne. And the marinade on the steak was excellent. My quesadilla had a 90 percent meat to cheese ratio. Not complaining at all! I was just in shock how much meat was on there. The El Pastor was moist and flavorful with a nice little kick to it. The restaurant is not full service. You order, take a seat and wait. But they did have a full bar area you could sit at and order drinks from. There were lots of T'V's, I presume for sports days. I'm giving this place my best taco's in the West Valley stamp of approval. The restaurant was also very busy at 11 am. It was loud inside with the music and cooking, but not overbearing and oddly felt homey with all the hustle and bustle. I will be back. read more

I have got to shoutout this place for putting me on to the machete ! If you didn't know , it's a massive taco with cheese corn tortilla , and filled with juicy flavorful meat . I always do half and half with birria and carne asada, and it never fails ! I recommend this to all my Airbnb guests because it's just reliably good and fresh . There can get to be a line so I prefer to order ahead, because when you smell the inside of this place it will Have your mouth watering from the fresh meat ! This is our go to taco spot. We discovered their Avondale location years ago and were ecstatic when they opened a bit closer in Litchfield Park. Their tacos are great, their beans and rice are good, and their birria hits. Plus, their customer service is great. They're always super kind and provide quick and efficient service. The restaurant is small, but aesthetically pleasing. Great lil spot where good tacos are scarce. read more

I'd say a lot of the meat here is really salty. It's decent in pricing and slightly below average in flavor, especially since most of the times I've come, the meat has been overcooked. In comparison, I would actually suggest going to a decent taco truck instead with the same offerings. The nice thing is their cleanliness. I don't particularly care for how the tables are mashed super close together, however, which makes an average-sized person like me feel extra squished. read more

I've been coming to this place since it opened and always loved it, but after our last visit, I'm not sure we'll be back. On Sunday evening, we had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had here. The young woman working up front was rude, dismissive, and made it very clear she didn't want to help us. When I asked simple questions about menu items, she gave us the infamous "Gen Z stare," rolled her eyes, and acted like we were wasting her time. I still thanked her for her help, but instead of acknowledging us, she shoved the receipt at us without saying a single word. The second we walked away, she started laughing and joking with her coworkers. This is unacceptable. Cashiers are the face of the business, and if customers can't even ask questions without being met with eye rolls and an attitude, it leaves a terrible impression. We've always supported this spot, but that kind of service makes us question whether it's worth coming back. read more
