My son was in town again and after his last visit it was a must that we return to Fiesta Mexicana. Again, it was a great place with super delicious food and staff. Why is it that I always have a hard time walking out of this place, maybe because I am more ready for a siesta than a drive home. I had the Deluxe Nachos which I could not finish, but my son did. He had an enchilada and chile relleno, which he easily devoured.....along with two giant, flaming margaritas. Oh and we also had chips and salsa. So we again waddled out of Fiesta Mexicana, both very happy. Included pics of before and after. Staff is always friendly and cheerful, a fun place. The overall experience was amazing! Got seated right away, got our drinks and orders in very quickly. It was our first time there & our waiter Ramiro was very attentive to us and explained the menu. We have lived in this area our whole life and were so surprised we had never been to Fiesta Mexicana. We finally decided to try it about a week ago and I want to point out that our service was great. But the reason for the 3 stars was that the food was marginal. We have four kids and got them each their own kids meal, which was one taco and rice and beans. The taco was ground beef, and I would not recommend it. None of my kids would eat it after the first bite. Drinks were also not included in the kids meal. So we were charged almost $10 per meal + a lemonade for each kid. This is also a restaurant that charges extra for chips, which isn't a huge deal, but just something to mention. For us, the quality of food just wasn't worth it for us. read more

Took my brother from Alaska here on a whim since we were visiting family nearby. It was a bit underwhelming. We both had tacos (he had al carbon and I had al pastor). Tortillas were not warm, the chips and salsa were okay, but you have to pay for a refill and prices were steep (16.00 ish per plate). We ate a few bites of the rice, I ate the beans and neither of us even finished 1 taco. Meat was without love - tough beef, slightly better pastor, but neither was fresh. I don't want to be harsh and give it 1 star, but I won't be back so there's no chance for me to rate it again. We left hungry and bummed that our tiny town in Alaska we are from had waaaay better Mexican food. Go figure. Also, the waitress came back 4x while we were looking the menu...apparently they just churn tables? Overall, 2 stars is as much as I can give. My friend's experience: BEWARE! Always check your transactions once they clear the bank especially when there is a place to put a tip. We had went out to dinner at Fiesta Mexican Restaurant in Avondale ( Dysart and McDowell). It just so happens my meal was not good and very salty and I ended up getting my meal removed from the check. No drinks ordered so this left one meal just under $20 and the ambience was ok. Two days later I open up my banking app and see our Restaurant transaction for $67.71!!! WTF!! Turns out the manager tells me that my husband tipped the waitress $40 .... No he didn't.... More like are you f**king kidding me! Long story short I got my $40 back ... I hate when people try to take advantage of others ... I told him it was disgusting and theft and it was stealing and all he did was stand behind his employees. He should hold them responsible... Was he the one responsible? DONT TRUST FIESTA MEXICAN RESTAURANT -SOMEONE IS A THIEF!! How do you sleep at night stealing like that? WATCH YOUR TRANSACTIONS!!! read more

I wanted to give this restaurant a second chance, so I went in for dinner this past Sunday with a party of six. The service was excellent--our server was attentive and friendly. Unfortunately, the food fell short. While the beans and rice were flavorful, the enchiladas were very dry and tasted like they were simply dipped in tomato sauce with no seasoning. My families and I go to local mexican food spot! I've loved every meal I got here! The waiters are really kind and thorough with taking your order. This last order I felt like the enchilada sauce lacked a bit of its typical deliciousness. It tasted very tomato filled without as much flavor but still really goods also the salsa was a little disappointing as it didn't have much seasoning or flavor as well just very heavy tomato taste. Overall the food is delicious and I know we all have some down days so I'll still be back it just wasn't as good as usual. I had visited Fiesta Mexicana a few times previously and we really enjoy the atmosphere, drinks and especially the food here. We always start with a Michlota (they do have Tacate light) which is delicious. They used to put three boiled shrimp on the rim, but have been absent on the last couple of visits. They have quite a few grilled items on the menu and one of our favorites is the Carnita Pollo. It is quite similar to Chicken Fajita and is delicious. It is a chain, but the food, server's and restuarant is decorated pleasingly. We made this one of our go to places in Avondale! read more

My partner and I decided to check this place out after craving Mexican food one night. We have our usual go-to's but wanted to try somewhere new that was close by. Fiesta Mexicana had a decent first impression. The service was excellent. Our server was extremely prompt and the food came out very quickly. Whenever we asked for something he would come back almost immediately with whatever it was we needed. The food is where I'm kind of torn. We started off really strong with the Mexican pizza - it was extremely tasty. For mains my partner got the Seafood Chimichanga, and I got the Fiesta Combo plate with 3 items. My partner enjoyed his dish overall but said the seafood sauce was a tad sweeter than he was expecting. Also the side salad it came with was on the same plate as the rest of the food, so it was very warm. I also liked my dish overall, but my chile relleno was not cooked enough. The breading was soggy and the whole thing tasted sort of funky. It ended up being the only thing I didn't eat on my plate however. Despite some of the food being a miss for me, I really liked the atmosphere and service at Fiesta Mexicana. There were multiple menu options that caught our eye and I'm sure we'll be back again soon. read more

The service at this place is very bad. I decided to stop in here for lunch because I was in the area and I hadn't been in here for a number of years. It's not busy at all inside and yet it took 5 to 10 minutes for someone come to the front to seat the six or eight people that had begun to line up at the front entrance. Once I sat down, it took another five minutes for a server to come by and give me a glass of water and some chips and salsa. According to the available Wi-Fi networks, they have a guest Wi-Fi network but yet when I asked for the password, they said it's not available to the public. I think this will probably be the last time. I try to come by here around lunchtime and sit and do some work. Two additional things I forgot to mention, one is hot in here, as they don't seem to have the air conditioner, turned down very much. And two I was given chips and salsa, but no napkins or silverware than which to wipe my hands with after eating them! read more
