The food was tasty, the service was very pleasant and quick, and it gives off a nice mom and pop restaurant vibes. Stopped by on Father's Day with my husband and toddler. The wait was insane.. waited about an hr to be seated. Tables weren't occupied apparently they were backed up in the kitchen and the waitress said there's no point of seating us if we were still going to wait for service at the table. When we finally got seated and ordered our food it took about 40 mins for it to come out. Food was cold, it wasn't worth the wait.. I ordered red chilaquiles and a side of carne asada, the flavor was ok, the chips kind of stale. The carne was good not chewy and plenty of carne. My son ordered the rolled tacos. They were ok, the lettuce and avocado appeared old it was turning brown. The side of red and green salsas did not have any flavor to them. Food 2/5 stars Bathrooms were dirty. Didn't seem like they were up-kept. Our waitress was nice and attentive she was apologetic for the long wait time which I appreciated. Overall rate it 2.5/5 stars!! read more

Beautiful new Mexican restaurant in Goodyear with a warm, modern design that still embraces the beautiful Mexican heritage. The service was ok but I Cahill that up to them just opening up. They charge $8 for chips and salsa which is high but you do get a healthy side of guacamole and 3 other types of salsa. The menu is simple but there is something for everyone. The chili verde had good flavor but the carne was dry. The rice and beans were good thought. My wife's enchiladas sueza was flavorful too. My daughter's carne asada tacos were just average. I was so looking forward to a good Mexican restaurant near me. Sadly, this isn't it. They have a pretty photo op when you enter and the staff is friendly and nice but here's the bad. They charge you for chips & the menu is limited. Our table was wobbly; surprising for a new restaurant. The music was too loud. I ordered a carne asada torta and they forgot the guacamole. The server was very apologetic and brought a side order. It was actually good and not full of onions and tomatoes. Sadly the torta doesn't come as usual with lettuce and tomatoes. Just opened and my ride or die beautiful wife and I had to test it for a test drive. Menu is limited but that's ok, do what you're good at. My wife ordered the mix chicken and beef fajitas and they were very good. Came with all the fixings. I ordered a meat bowl with a seasoned pork rice and whole beans and surprisingly it was very good. Nicely remodeled Village Inn and the service was excellent. My husband and I stopped in for lunch. The refresh they did from Village Inn was wonderful. The menu was quite a variety. We preferred the 3 enchilada and chili rellenos. The food presentation with pickled red onions on a large plate, rice n beans on the side was excellent. My enchiladas had red and green sauce couldn't decide which I liked better. BEST worst decision of my life... where do I start? The 1 hour wait time for our food or the tasteless meal that was served... There were 5 tables sitting ahead of us and 1 table eating. When that table got up, the next was served and it continued like that till it was our turned to be served a full hour latter. They had plenty of time to go buy seasoning, which they did not. The food was so bland, that adding salt to it made it seam that I was only eating salt. I ordered the breakfast bland burrito. We waited 30 min for our flight of hot syrup, I think they called it a margarita flight... why would you serve it hot? Wife ordered the birria tacos. For a meat sitting in soup, the meat was tough and bland. Atmosphere was weird, the hostess/server/possibly cook was nice and possibly the only one working that day... We enjoyed a delicious brunch on a Saturday morning. Service was great! My sister had the French toast. I enjoyed the Chilaquiles Rosas that was made with a creamy beet sauce. My son ordered the Azulejo Omelette (sort no picture) and cleaned his plate! Coffee was good and served in nice size mugs. My niece chose the Pambazo plate. My only recommendation would be to add some additional offerings for creamers in addition to the original coffeemate non-dairy creamer. Some of us like quality alternative choices. I've been here 3 times & 3 times I've loved it!! La tostada mixta has gotten better every time. Family & I haven't had a bad meal. We've tried many appetizers & dishes. We are all 3 for 3. I do get some of the complaints here. They could be slow & for the level of attraction they're seeking, it needs to get better. I think experience would get better if more people show up and the waiters/waitresses get the experience to learn how to be better. Aesthetic is great. It's a nice place. Great seats. TV's. Restroom are nice. I think everyone needs to give it a try. & hope this message gets to the owners as well. Fix your team so the customer experience can be better. I see a lot of reviews saying "chips and salsa 8 dollars?" They don't take into account that it comes with a bowl of guac, so essentially you're paying for that. Plus it's so much, I couldn't even get thru half of it! Very good food, server was by herself & she handled the service and restaurant cleanliness well. The food itself had good flavor, but it took forever to come out and when it finally arrived it was cold. The coffee also wasn't good at all. For a special occasion, we expected much better. The service was the worst part. Our waitress barely came to the table, and whenever we needed something or asked for help, we were ignored. It honestly made the whole birthday brunch feel stressful instead of enjoyable. It's really upsetting when you plan something special and it ends up being such a negative experience. I hope they improve their service and timing because no one wants their celebration ruined like that. read more

We got our food within 10 minutes which seemed a little too fast and it then it made sense why. The food was definitely something that was reheated. The beans and rice tasted stale and the chilaquiles sauce was watery. We were most excited about the pancakes but those as well were old. It's quite fitting that they've painted everything in this ex-Village Inn the color of ice, because I've seen glaciers move faster than their service. My party waited over an hour for our food. The waitress at least acknowledged the wait and apologized for it several times, even asking us if we wanted anything while we waited. This is normally the part of the story where a restaurant offers you a free appetizer, but they couldn't they couldn't even give us some chips and salsa. You know, that thing that's free at pretty much every Mexican restaurant on the planet (especially in this country, where the federal government heavily subsidizes corn, its key ingredient)? Really think about that for a moment: we were at least at the forty-five minute mark at that point, and they had the nerve to try to upsell us. When the food finally did arrive, it came out in stages (some of us had to wait another five to ten minutes for the rice and beans), everything on my plate was way too freaking hot (temperature), and I only got one taco when the menu made it seem like there'd be two. The name of the dish included the term "tacos" (plural), the other taco dishes consisted of more than one, and it was listed right below an illustration of two tacos on a plate. I guess I should've known better since it was only $6, but it was incredibly misleading. So many other low points of this experience reflected either greed or incompetence that I don't know which one I should chalk that one up to. If I didn't think they'd come up with some sort of hidden fee and I'd be there until after dark waiting for it, I would've ordered something extra. I should've asked them to comp our drinks. That should've been a given. Nobody was drinking alcohol, we were all drinking standard fountain stuff, and everyone knows the markup on soda in restaurants is crazy. To add insult to injury, they didn't even split the checks properly, adding even more wait time. I really wanted to like this place. It's got a cool aesthetic, and there are things on the menu that I haven't seen at other Mexican restaurants in the area. The food just wasn't worth the insane wait time, and it was clear that they had no intention of making up for their mistakes if it meant parting with a few extra pennies. I get that they have to eat too, but if Mr. Krabs wasn't already red, even he'd be blushing in shame at this kind of cartoonish greed. Don't listen to the four and five star reviews on here. Either someone else was working in the kitchen that day, or those reviews were written by the owners, because they don't resemble the experience my family had on February 1st, 2026 in the slightest. read more

When you walk into a restaurant at dinner time on a Thursday...and there is no one seated... do not stop and think Oh good we should get good service and it'll be great. A couple issues: 1. Chips are $8...While they are HOT, Fresh and taste awesome... $8 and no refills...(you get a small bowl of guac....or what they call guac it is not in fact guac it is smashed avocado, nothing else. we ended up adding salt and lemon juice and salsa to bring it up a bit) Green Chili salsa and regular salsa 2. We ordered happy hour special- stuffed jalapenos, they came out FAST...but they were cold, they had crab and cream cheese, were battered (so why cold if they had come out of the fryer, but i'm 99% sure they were pulled out of the fridge and that's about it) it was not Crab it was imitation 3. The Chili Rellano was Good. Hubs loved it, taste was awesome 4. Refried beans were NOT good, they were cold (they are NOT the one's out of a can though! so huge plus, they were seasoned with Chorizo) 5. The Flauta's while good and hot, the chicken had no flavor. I'm not sure why so many restaurants toss chicken into water, boil it and think that's all that needs to be done.. Please for the love of God add some seasoning. 6. The mexican rice was terrible, over cooked and cold. 7. our sons chicken strips came out but they were SOOO overcooked they were borderline burned... luckily with enough ketchup he ate them... They were also 85% breading almost no chicken.. While we would have brought some of these issues up to the server...we didn't see him very much it was like he disappeared between each time we were not offered refills on our drinks except just before we left when our friend asked for another diet coke. read more

It took 15 minutes for someone to come to our table. We requested a lunch menu. No chips or salsa arrived. It is an extra cost. They did a very nice job with the renovation. My husband and I went on a Thursday evening and we were seated immediately. Our waitress was friendly. I ordered their Rum Tiki drink. It tasted like they just dumped cheap, sweet, berry syrup into a glass with ice. I tried to dilute it with my water, but I just couldn't drink it. It was awful. Maybe that should have clued me in. We ordered food and it came out shockingly too fast. All of our food was barely warm, definitely not hot at all. Even the rice and beans on the side were just lukewarm. My husband's dish was the same. We ordered flautas. Not only was all the food barely warm, but my flautas were incredibly dry and the outside was chewy, not crisp. It was bland too. I salted it and was still hardly able to choke down one flauta before asking for a to go box. (Being polite I guess). Also the Bad Bunny Superbowl brunch celebration signs they had plastered everywhere was a dead giveaway that I was definitely in the wrong place. Won't be going back. Yuck. read more
