We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this spot. After reading about it, found out that it was best to make a reservation ahead of time (made online). We realized that we were running late, so I called to let them know and thankfully they noted it. Parking wasn't hard to find (on street or their own private lot) and we were easily able to check in. The place was pretty packed when we arrived, but they placed a reserved sign on our table. It was basically a steak/meat spot. I initially tried to order a Carajillo, but was told that they ran out of the espresso (it was toward the end of the night, so understandable), and instead opted for the Tia Mia (Mezcal cocktail) and my husband got the Buckeye Sunset (Tequila cocktail). Both were very well made--presentation and flavors. For the food, we got the Chips and Salsa, Birria Protein Bowl, and Picahna steak with chimichurri sauce. The food was all so delicious. Chips and salsa, salsa was a little spicy for me, but very flavorful. The protein bowl was huge and loved the flavors, but ended up taking half home. The steak was bomb with meat being very tender, properly cooked, and full of flavor. I think the meal was well worth it and pretty tasty. Service was pretty good too. Honestly, I would come back just to try out other items on the menu, for future trips. read more

Awesome hidden gem. The menu is wildly expansive from cheap burritos to crazy expensive steaks. You can really make it into whichever experience you'd like. I'd gotten the chicken plate, and LOVED it. Great cook on everything and really flavorful bites all around. (would have loved a spicier salsa option, tho). Ambiance is simple and open. Oh man, this is Buckeye's newest "it girl". I am from LA and this place rivals the best of LA eateries. Technically it's a steak house but their Mexican food is second to none. We had the Birria tacos and steak tacos via the taco combo dish, it was phenomenal! The service was second to none and the ambiance was fantastic! From the total lack of AC in 116 AZ weather, to the $5 chips and salsa to the fatty and gristly ribeye taco to the smelly 'fresh' ceviche that I ate 2 bites of. This place is way, wAY, WAY off the beating patch from the I10 but well worth the drive. We arrived Saturday night to a busy little restaurant that had a wait of over an hour so we sat at the bar. The bartenders were super friendly and made really good drinks. The food however was delicious. The Costillitas Asadas are the best we've ever had and with going there just for those. The protein bowl and tacos were really good but those Costillitas really stood out. The wait time for our meal however was extremely long and could use improvement. We were finishing our second drink and had decided to leave. However that's when the Costillitas came out and hooked us. Our main dishes then took another long while before coming out. I still rate 5 stars due to how busy they were but upon our next visit if the wait is that long it would be worth downgrading. It was just a very long wait. read more

WOW!! If you're a small group I would highly recommend sitting at the bar for the Zack and Scott show. Zack takes his craft seriously and the cocktails prove it. The food was really good. I'm a Margarita snob. This drink is routinely screwed up , not here! A classic crisp /tart margarita made like it should be made. Wife had the spicy and I stuck with the house. Both perfect and delicious. Zack threw us a few samples of other cocktails he was serving and they were just as good. The meats were amazing too. Food was very good! My friend and both had tacos. I got the sampler taco platter and all 4 tacos were great! They served us stale chips (you have to pay for chips and salsa). The waiter quickly got a fresh warm basket of chips! And our waiter was very nice and attentive. The restaurant is in an awkward part of town. I was looking for a new place to try near me and found this gem in Old Buckeye. The vibe was perfect. With people celebrating birthdays, couples on dates, and friends just hanging out and having a good time. Everything we ordered was so good! The queso fundido and chicharrón de ribeye were incredible starters. My fiancé and I decided to go big and ordered the tomahawk steak. It did not disappoint! The flame, the flavor, the sides... everything was a solid 10/10. I also tried the ribeye aguachile, and wow!!! that was hands down my favorite dish of the night. The meat was super tender, and the flavors were just next level. I'd honestly come back just for that! It was our first time there, and James took such good care of us. He was really attentive, patient, and helped us pick out the best dishes. To end the night, the staff surprised me by playing Las Mañanitas, bringing out a mariachi hat for me to wear, and serving a delicious churro cake with a sparkler candle. Absolutely LOVED the vibe, the food, and the service! My husband and I treated ourselves to a date here on a Thursday afternoon and it did not disappoint. He ordered the spiked horchata and it was delicious! We also shared the steak flight parrillada and it was amazing! Our favorite was the picana! Melt in our mouth and full of flavor!! Good food, though it's hit or miss. We've been coming since it was in the Holiday Inn up on Dysart but we stopped after three visits where the food arrived burned (like charred black), or completely cold, or it was rushed and the order was wrong by a mile. We decided to try again at this new location. It was good. The ribeye tacos are really good, as are the potato tacos (try them!). Our food arrived hot and everything was good. Personally I'm not a fan of their salsas. And I think it's lame to have to separately order chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. Especially considering their prices are astronomical for Mexican food. And the chips and salsa are not cheap. But those are nit-picks. I'd say good overall. For me it's not anything great, and it's not a good, old, "family-style" Mexican restaurant with red plastic soda tumblers and plentiful chips and salsa. It's more of a "boutique" Mexican-inspired restaurant. Decent for sure, but the prices for me are way high for what it is (a taqueria really). Still, give it a try. I think when they're hitting on all cylinders their food is great. read more

The steak was incredible and the beans were super delicious along with the queso fundido that we ordered as an appetizer. The exposed brick inside made it feel like we were in a movie great setting. Was in Arizona and was looking for a place to have dinner with a friend, when this place popped up. So glad it did. The service was amazing (shout out to James) and the food delicious. We started with guacamole and chips. Very good. The Mr. had a burrito, and our friends and I had the 3 taco plate with beans and rice. The food was good and the ambiance was trendy yet comfortable. The queso fundido with chorizo was delicious with what seem like homemade flour tortillas. House margs with fresh lime juice are very good and just the right tart edge. I did not expect much from this restaurant due only to its location. As soon as we walked in we were surprised with how nice the layout was but the doubt was still there. We had a very nice young waitress who told us they started in a hotel in the Goodyear/Avondale area to the new location, which made us feel better because we ate there when they opened. As soon as I tasted my steak I realized we had found a gem of a restaurant, a diamond in the rough and that more people need to know about it. WOW! Dare I say the best FOOD I've ever had? Went for happy hour on a Thursday, which the happy hour deals are PHENOMENAL, and ended up coming back on Sunday. The food is fresh, hot, and authentic. You can smell the wood fired grill from the outside. The space is comfortable and the service was great, our waiter was attentive and personable. The burritos, exceptional, the barbincito which is like a tostada, delicious, the quesadilla, incredible. The chips and salsa, phenomenal. We tried Barbon Asadero after seeing it mentioned on tv. The restaurant is very nice inside, and we were sat promptly. We ordered I believe queso to start. The taste was good but you only receive 4 small tortillas with the order. I usually don't eat Mexican food but chips for me would be a better option so half of the queso went to waste. My wife ordered tacos and I had the quesadillas. The food was tasty and cooked to order. The restaurant is a little pricey ,over 80 dollars for lunch. We will probably return but not for dinner as the menu prices scared us a bit. All in all a good experience, the 4 was for the prices. read more

Okay!!! Buckeye is stepping up their food game for sure with this place! The taco trio and nachos were so flavorful. All the meats were cooked perfectly and the ingredients were fresh. Great New Spot in the West Valley! Came in around 8 PM with my husband and we got seated pretty quickly. We started with drinks--I had the Buckeye Sunset and he got a Modelo. Both were great and set the tone for a nice evening. We shared the ribeye chicharrón as an appetizer, and it was so good--super flavorful and crispy, definitely a highlight! For my main, I ordered the 3 red tacos with beans and rice. I would've enjoyed it even more if they had brought out some salsas to try at the table--would've been perfect for the tacos. My husband had the picana taco and the grilled Baja fish taco--he really liked both. Overall, it's a solid new addition to the West Valley. If I could give this restaurant zero stars, I would. We came in today after my daughter's promotion, wanting to try something new. We drive past this place often and decided to give it a chance, but the customer service was terrible. I was completely ignored. Maybe the person taking our order was new and never even submitted it, because we waited over an hour for tacos. At one point, another waiter came to our table and tried to take our order again. It was so disappointing. We ended up paying $25 for drinks and sat there for over an hour without ever getting our food. read more

We were really excited to try this place as I had been to their food truck they started years ago! The staff was very kind and attentive. The atmosphere was very laid back. The music was a little too loud for my liking but not overkill at all. For an appetizer we had the COSTILLITAS ASADAS. The aguachile marinade was really good! The short ribs were so incredibly tender. The salsa, I believe was some kind of roasted was not spicy and not acidic which was nice. I personally would have liked a little more heat. We ordered the PARILLADA DE CARNE ASADA* (medium rare). It was over cooked but was still tender. They didn't over season it so it had great mesquite flavor. The ranchero beans were unique and had a nice flavor. The rice was bland. The guacamole was well balanced. The chimichurri was delicious! The corn tortillas were light and did not fall apart. They also gave us plenty! Which was nice. The churro cheese cake was not a cheesecake, but some type of delicious cake with cheesecake in the middle. Oh, cucumber-lime aguas frescas was soooo good. Sadly there is no option to give a five star rating with the size of their margaritas!! For $10 house margarita and $16 a Bardon margarita we should have at least had a margarita size vs a 6 oz old fashioned glass size Seemed kind of off base for a Mexican restaurant and I might have added that extra star LOL read more

The food was good, service was good. The drinks are a small version of mixologist sizes, not your traditional margarita sized glass for the price. Atmosphere was modern take. Made reservations, wait time was 1.5 hours without one, got us in time which was great. The chairs were a mix of cushy padded or bare steel, roughed it through on the bare steel ones. The table we had faced the sun which was brutal through the high windows, luckily we had sunglasses worn for about an hour, perhaps some good sun screens installed would help. Over all, good food good margarita (albeit small, and full of ice) good service, would visit again, the crowd showed en masse, because it was good. read more
