Al pastor and carne asada tacos.
    Mario F.

I'm working down the street for the next few months and saw this place. Being that I live in California I was very suspect of a place using the "mecca of Mexican food" as their name so I had to try. Let me just say they did not disappoint. These tacos reminded me of home. So much so that I visit it for lunch at least once a week. Their meats all taste fabulous and the guacamole on top is what completes it for me. That is authentic and worth the drive over to their restaurant. I have not been inside the restaurant to comment on the ambiance, but their drive thru is fast and service is great. Everyone is friendly and they provide you with plenty of salsa and radishes if you ask. I definitely recommend this place and can confirm they are allowed to use Cali in their name :). Keep up the great work!

Taco de cabeza, rice and beans special.

I love coming here for the $7.99 special. Three tacos, rice, beans and a medium drink. You can't really beat that price. The staff is always really friendly and the place is nice and clean. The asada tacos are good, as well as the cabeza one. The only complaint was the tortilla. It was super stiff and dry. Don't get me wrong I love onions but it almost felt like they over powered the entire thing. I will still continue to come here though. You CANNOT beat that special.

    Wrong order

They are usually ok but this time they got the order wrong and we spent more than we received.

Solid.. I am not a Mexican officiando but this place has fresh, good tasting food at reasonable prices. Killer lunch spot!

This is the ultimate experience. I normally don't care for fast food. This should not be compared. Here the ingredients are so fresh and quality is high. My favorite items are birria tacos and horchata to drink. The tacos are tender and juicy! Man I am getting hungry just thinking about this place. Try the fries if you have a large group. Please check out my photos.

Definitely not 4 stars here. The reviews are inflated. I had the birria tacos, rice and horchata. Wife had the Cali nacho plate. The beef was low grade and mostly fat. Taco was nothing worth 4 stars. My wife gave the nachos 3 stars too. A lot of beans and a few scattered tortilla chips at the bottom. My son had the basic nuggets and fries which looked like they purchased from Costco and microwaved. To top it off this area is sketchy af. Random homeless wandering in and out possibly dropping dope. Probably would not return unless they step it up.

Ordered a carne asada burrito. Soon as I opened the wrapping the burrito was falling apart. Never seen a burrito made so poorly.

Very good Mexican dishes, not greasy, and good proportions for the cost. If you love Cali street tacos you'll love this place.

One word, "Excellent" very tasty and authentic. I'm from southern California and it does give me the comfort of what I grew up with.

One of the best breakfasts I've had in a decade…read more Over the years, Americans have converted breakfast to a corporate affair. Today, our breakfasts are experienced at places like "Over Easy," "First Watch," "Village Inn," and "Denny's." It's industrial breakfast. The old-fashioned, mom-and-pop diners are as rare as a hen's tooth. But not in Buckeye, Arizona. The Heritage is a welcome return to the great, neighborhood breakfast counters of old. It's privately owned and the owner, Kevin, greets you and stops by your table. "That's great," you say. But what about the food? And that's where The Heritage makes its name. Let's start with the homemade, pillowy sourdough English muffins. Most places use some industrial-food English muffin preserved with disgusting ingredients like L-Cysteine. These aren't those. These are like your grandma made. They're soft, yeasty circles of beauty with just enough sourdough taste to send your tastebuds into bread heaven. They're a far cry from your basic English muffin. On to the eggs. Most breakfast restaurants use liquid eggs from the restaurant supply. They come in big bags, bereft of nutritious value and flavor, but full of preservatives. Not these. The Heritage uses fresh eggs and they've perfected how to make them fluffy, buttery, and perfectly-cooked. No brown spots or runny middles. It's egg perfection. The sausage is really different. These are not your usual Sysco or Shamrock greasy pucks. They're thin and fresh and meaty and just slightly spicy (not hot just slightly herby). They're a subtle flavor surprise. And fork tender. The potatoes are little cubes of rich goodness. Cooked just right and golden brown. They're excellent. To finish off the breakfast, Heritage serves a luscious Carmel pecan roll with a vanilla glaze. I liked it but it was slightly dry if I want to be ridiculously nit-picky. But most people wouldn't even notice. All of it is served by some smiling young women who were working hard and answering lots of questions. The entire service experience was pleasant, friendly, and efficient. On a Saturday morning the place was PACKED so service was slightly slow. Though nothing like a crazy morning at Over-Easy or First Watch. What an amazing and pleasant surprise this little restaurant is. Their breakfast burrito looked excellent and everybody around us was raving about it. I'll try that next. The menu is small but efficient and contains some little gems. Give the cinnamon roll a try too! This is an absolute must for breakfast or brunch. And I hear the owner is thinking about offering dinner in the near future. A needed find in a historic building in old downtown Buckeye. A new favorite.

It's a smash burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, smash sauce, and pickle. You get the option of chips, fries, or a side salad. I ordered it no onions, double patty, with fries. If I had to rate it, I'd say 7/10. The fries were just cooked enough and almost had a hint of being undercooked. The burger itself was pretty tasty, but if the bun was a little softer, I would've given it a solid 9/10. Still, their breakfast is always delicious, and that's usually what keeps us coming back.

Everyone else chooses the barstools and hightop tables or the patio. We were only outside once, when my ankle was broken and it was tough to get around. But, I digress. Maybe the cozying adds to the delight of our foodie experience at Sip. We don't drink but they make a lovely Shirley Temple that compliments all that chef-made goodness. Her menu is always shifting and we love the creativity. One of the mainstays, though, is the meatball appetizer. The beef is tender and flavorful and the homemade marinara as complimented by a perfect cheese pull. We'll get that and one other item - a charcuterie board, bread and/or veggies and a dip, or some other interesting app. Sometimes we get a salad, but order dressing on the side because we like it light. As lovely as Sip is, I don't know if people are impractical or enamored enough to drive a half hour up a mountain to enjoy that tiny establishment. So, it feels like a happy place to be around locals. Estrella is growing but not so much that we've ever felt crowded out at Sip. It's homey and warm and a relaxing place to feel at home, on our special couch. Please don't sit at our couch. lol
