I found this spot tucked away in a Fry's plaza honestly surprising since I've been in the area…read moreplenty of times and never noticed it before. I stopped by on a Saturday night to finally check it out. As soon as I walked in, I noticed the trompo right away, which is always a good sign. I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

I would say inside is similar to a Filiberto's, but I don't really care as long as the food is good. I'm a big taco fan and the tacos here are just ok. (Pastor way too salty, asada seemed blah, but suadero was good) I did make a lil drive to come out here but probably wouldn't do it again unless I'm just in the area. If o had to compare, I would say taco boys, ta carbon and tacos calafia are well above this spot. Good visit though and really just stopped to try.

Tacos Chilango has officially ruined all other Mexican food for me, and honestly, I'm not even mad…read moreabout it. This place has quickly become my absolute favorite spot near Buckeye. Sure, there are other options around, but they are merely "close seconds" in the same way a bicycle is a close second to a Ferrari. The flavors here are just ridiculous. Their birria is so 'chef's kiss' it should honestly be illegal, and the tacos are phenomenal enough that I genuinely find myself wishing my stomach were roughly four times larger every single time I visit. (If anyone knows a good surgeon for that, let me know.) They have a self-serve salsa bar where you can absolutely bury your food in flavor. It is almost a perfect meal. Do yourself a favor and go. Just maybe wear your stretchy pants.

We were visiting from out of town and stumbled upon this spot. After reading about it, found out…read morethat it was best to make a reservation ahead of time (made online). We realized that we were running late, so I called to let them know and thankfully they noted it. Parking wasn't hard to find (on street or their own private lot) and we were easily able to check in. The place was pretty packed when we arrived, but they placed a reserved sign on our table. It was basically a steak/meat spot. I initially tried to order a Carajillo, but was told that they ran out of the espresso (it was toward the end of the night, so understandable), and instead opted for the Tia Mia (Mezcal cocktail) and my husband got the Buckeye Sunset (Tequila cocktail). Both were very well made--presentation and flavors. For the food, we got the Chips and Salsa, Birria Protein Bowl, and Picahna steak with chimichurri sauce. The food was all so delicious. Chips and salsa, salsa was a little spicy for me, but very flavorful. The protein bowl was huge and loved the flavors, but ended up taking half home. The steak was bomb with meat being very tender, properly cooked, and full of flavor. I think the meal was well worth it and pretty tasty. Service was pretty good too. Honestly, I would come back just to try out other items on the menu, for future trips.
