I stepped up to the counter and was greeted with a warm smile from the young lady up front. After looking over the menu, I ordered two tacos de tripa and two tacos de suadero. She asked if I wanted the tripas extra crispy I said no. I also asked how they prepare the suadero since I didn't see a choricera, but she wasn't sure. When the food came out, the tripas were a letdown. The texture was off, almost like a stale chip, and they were clearly overcooked. I asked if I could swap them for something safer, so I went with asada instead, but that didn't impress either. It didn't taste very fresh. Now here's the reason you should come to Tacos Chilangos: the suadero. Even though it's not cooked the traditional way, it was absolutely delicious. Perfect meat-to-fat ratio, super flavorful, and easily the standout. The guacamole salsa was top tier. I kept going back to that one over the others. All in all definitely stop by to try the suadero as for as the other two I'd would probably give them a second try.

While we waited, the woman who took our order brought out a basket of chips with refried beans and fresco queso on top with a side of salsa. Woah! What? Epic. But wait! A few minutes later, a precious girl with the most warm inviting, and beautiful smile came out with 2 warm, homemade corn tortillas, with salsa and cheese for us. These were just complimentary extras we didn't expect at all. Soo good. The restaurant is a humble place. Cute, clean, inviting and roomy. There is an inside seating area and an outdoor section. Someone was grilling meat out front. I think, the owner. I ordered a chili relleno combo. It comes with rice, beans, tortillas, and a drink. Hubs ordered two carne asada tacos, and a carne asada sope. I didn't try anything my husband ordered. ( I was laser focused on my meal lol) But it looked really good. No matter how busy, the wait is never long but your food is made to order. They have an abundant salsa bar and, if you sit outside, an employee is cooking up something on a plancha. We don't know what. We have only ever sat inside or carried our tacos home. Next door there's a modern bakery next door with cakes, bars, cookies and traditional Hispanic treats.
