The new breakfast menu is absolutely amazing. The carnitas hash is the thing dreams are made of!!

Tried out Taco Flats for lunch on a Tuesday. Now I wish I lived more north because we really enjoyed our lunch. I ordered one battered shrimp taco and it was a good size where I only needed one since we already ordered queso. The queso was also really good. When in the area we'll definitely be back.

Tacos I tried ranked by order of best tasting: TF Original (4.5/5) - classic crunchy taco with picadillo. A upscale version of a crunchy taco you might get at a fast food spot. 2 for $8.50 total is actually an insane deal. The only downside is that there were mixed leafy greens that kind of overflowed in it. Usually, you get a shredded lettuce in this kind of taco, and I don't think replacing that with mixed greens helped. I would've welcomed more pico. Carnitas (4/5) - pretty classic carnitas taco, large portion of it. Don Ramon (4/5) - slow cooked beef in a charred crispy tortilla. I actually quite liked the crispy tortilla, and this was a BEEFY taco. They had a 2 for $7.50 each deal, which is high value. I just feel like there wasn't enough other flavor in this taco - I think some more crema or quac might've balanced this a bit more. I think overall, they had some pretty decent tacos - I just happened to go for the 2 for 1 deals, but otherwise it would've been very pricey. The taco meat could've used a little bit more seasoning, I think. Either that or more balance of the other taco toppings. The green salsa provided has a good kick to it.

I went to taco Flats this weekend to have a lunch. The service was amazing. You order from the barcode at the table and the waitress comes out. They have a lovely inside seating that the patio is covered and has a TV as well! I forgot to take a picture of my salad, but it was called daily greens and I added I'lladded Al Pastor meat on top, it was so delicious and so many yummy blueberries and nuts in it. I felt that I got a very good value for my money and was able to take leftovers as well. The 321 margarita was very refreshing. This is a great lunch spot and affordable.

I popped into this restaurant because I was trying to go to peach tortilla, but they were not open. I got the flautas and it was not very good. Pretty unseasoned and the chicken was a little dry. For $13 it's also pretty overpriced. Service was friendly, but not sure I would come back again for the food.

This one is just okay for my husband and I. Came on a Friday night and not at all overly crowded. Their menu online vs in restaurant/order through QR code is a bit different. Online it shows a vegan taco but in restaurant it wasn't marked that way, but assuming it was the same. I got the vegan taco (Austinite), a margarita, and the berry salad. The salad was quite big but mostly lettuce. Everything was okay but nothing that impressed me. It's a cute spot though!

I just ordered 3 tacos for lunch, a shrimp taco, and the BOGO carnitas tacos. Appartenly, they ran out of carnitas, so they substituted for chorizo, instead of contacting me. I guess they also just decided to not include the shrimp taco either. I got three of the greasiest chorizo tacos I have ever seen in my life. This was my first time ordering from this place, and it certainly will be last.

Not sure how I've been living here for so long and never actually made it to a Taco Flats location. We came in on a Sunday, right before lunch time and the place was relatively quiet. We all ordered a spicy margarita and a gringa taco. For starters, this place is definitely not the cheapest taco around, but I can definitely say they make up for it in flavor, ingredients, and size. The taco comes out on a fresh made tortilla (this in a must for any top quality taco spot) and filled to the brim with wonderful meat goodness. These was definitely no small taco. Topped off with a green sauce that has just the right amount of spice to it, you really can't go wrong. All that being said, I feel the need to talk about the margarita. Not only do they really take pride in their frozen margaritas, but they also make their own in-house tajin to put on the rim. It adds such a unique spin on the drink that really steps it up to another level.

This is our go to spot when we're craving birria tacos but we opted for something different this visit. We ordered: - Michelada Ojo Rojo (I can never turn down a michelada. The ojo rojo was $1 more than a regular michelada but not sure what the difference was. Tasted like a regular ol' miche) - Tostadas De Atun -- I love me tuna tostadas. The tuna was seared but not overly done so it wasn't chewy. The fried leeks, sauce, perfectly crisp tortilla ... all so good. This was my favorite item of the day! - Dirty South -- I didn't know they did brunch. Like full on pancakes type of brunch. Dirty South is on the brunch menu (scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, refried beans, potatoes). Another hit. - Chicken Flautas -- four big flautas with guac and some cabbage (I thought it was slaw but it didn't have any flavor so I think it's just shredded cabbage). - San Chorizo -- my husband scarfed his down before I could try it. Assuming it was good lol Yes, parking is a hit or miss, but the food is worth it. We also had a great server.

I'm torn on Taco Flats. My first visit was actually great. I came alone and ordered a few tacos plus a few delicious margaritas, staying for a while to finish up some design work. Server and owner (?) were super friendly. There's a reason I came back. However, my second visit was not quite as lovely. Starting with the good. GF and I enjoyed some great margaritas, no qualms there. I love a simple house margarita with salt. I didn't like her mezcal drink but it looked pretty. Now for the tacos... It's a shame because they look great from a distance. And at first bite, they're not so bad. But they fell short a little bit. Not one but two fell completely through. Back onto the plate into a greasy pile. I don't remember this happening the first time, but sadly they were no fun to eat and the taste was subpar. I think they can do better. The other tacos I remember (Pollo Asado, and the shrimp) were even more meh. I feel a little harsh for giving 3 stars, it's not my jam, but the check ended up being $60 for two drinks and 4 tacos. I may have tipped on top of a service fee. Idk. Either way it felt wrong. Sigh.

Good Taco Vs Bad Taco stopped in for a lunch to try out a few tacos. has a nice vibe that may be fun for happy hour or Saturday night. However the food left some room for improvement. TF Original, crispy ground beef taco that is larger than your average taco. The shell was crispy and it had a good amount of filling. It was topped with fresh greens. The Beef had a smokiness to it. It was very noticeable, not a bad flavor just unique. I like it and would say it was about a 3 star taco. Chicken Mole Taco, I was so excited to try their mole taco and was so let down by it. When i think of mole I am thinking of thick rich, sweet, spice, brown sauce with a hint of coco. Their mole is anything but that. It is thin red and not very tasty. In fact when the waiter brought out the taco he said, "Mole Taco" as he sat it down. If he had not stated it I would have called them back and said the order was wrong. In fact after I tried it I went to yelp and found pictures of if to make sure it was the mole taco. Yes, this in fact was the same taco. To make matters worse not only was the sauce bad, but the chicken was so overcooked it was dry and crumbled in your mouth. even with all the sauce and adding extra salsa it was still very dry. I ended up just scraping off the chicken mix and eating the beans and rice that were under it. all in all a 1 star taco avoid it if you love mole. We had a large party and while I only tried two tacos I was able to poll the rest of the group and everyone had a similar opinion, one of their tacos was good and the other was not. All the tacos are a good size and cost between 4 and 5 dollars. I would say that its a crap shoot on getting a good taco here some are fine while other are not worth the time. all in all there are just better choices and if you are going just for food and not drinks, probably just hit up Chipotle. Would not return or recommend

This is the place for some delicious tacos! Props to James - our server - who made some awesome recommendations including a spicy margarita. So good! Casual environment. Bar seating - indoor seating - and patio options. Cute neighborhood vibe. I can't wait to go back.

We meant to go to the Peached tortilla but ended up going there. The inside has a old Austin vibe that we just loved. The staff was nice and friendly, they forgot our order of papas but brought it after our tacos and took it out of the tab. The tacos are huge more like open burritos. Tried the pollo asada, carne and fish tacos. Loved all.

The space mixes art deco with a little bit of Spanish flair, tucked beside/adjacent to Mama Betty's. It's big, but arranged in a way that still feels cozy and social. The crowd? Late 20s to early 40s. Grown and attractive. Lively but not chaotic. Vibrant without being loud. Perfect for dressing up a little, socializing and lingering a little. We Ubered there, so I didn't get a full picture of the parking, but it seems like there may be a little parking garage or validated parking area? Maybe a pay for parking? I would read other reviews. Most of the staff? Fantastic. Professional, warm, funny. Our assigned waitress, however, gave off overwhelmed and low-energy. She was short with communication and it sort of dulled our sparkle for a moment, but the drinks and vibes quickly brought it back. Had we had another waitress, this place would have been a 10 out of 10. On to the drinks: Round one: espresso martinis (made with Tito's). Slightly sweet, bold, smooth, and very sippable. No coffee bean decorations on top, but full of flavor. No cream inside...sort of reminding you of a Black Russian. Served in a ribbed coupe glass. Round two: French 75s with Hendrick's. Punchy lemon flavor, a tad sweet, lower champagne notes but still giving French 75. Garnished with a dried lime slice instead of a lemon. Served elegant in those ribbed coupe glasses (which fit the aesthetic perfectly). The cocktails are well-crafted and intentional. They aren't overly boozy, but they are balanced, smooth and polished. Bathrooms? Immaculate. Unisex. Private stall rooms with their own individual doors. Efficient and modern. No long lines. Opportunity to mingle with the opposite sex in the bathroom if that suits your fancy. Foxtail feels like a good place to start a new chapter. We had good conversations and we enjoyed staying out just a little longer than we planned. Their Happy Hour (4:30-6pm weekdays) is officially on my radar for the future. I'll be back. I want this place to be routine. 9 out of 10.

They have happy hour 5-6 pm and we got the hummus half off! The hummus was so good. I love the pepper oil on top that gives it a little kick. It comes with pita bread but if you order more, it's an extra $3. We also got croquetas (ham and cheese fritters). There are four of them and they are sooo delicious!! This is a must get especially if you love warm and creamy stuff. The outside is nicely fried and if you never had it, it's similar to Japanese takoyaki. Although I love it a lot, the portion was just right for sharing because it really fills you up. We also got the potatoes (nice, but nothing that blew my mind) and chicken empanadas that I thought had a strange, sour taste. I wouldn't get that again. I highly recommend getting different tapas instead of the main courses so you can try different things. We were completely satisfied with the meal after getting these but still made room for the orange almond cake!! This was extraordinarily good!! Not too sweet and the cake has a nice moist texture-not dry. It took a while for food to arrive so service was a bit slow. You can also sit outside if you want but we sat indoors since it was chilly. It's a smaller restaurant so it's nice for an intimate meal or date. They have a bar. There's parking in the back, which is where the entrance is. Rosé Gosé (note accents) is in an unassuming Airport Blvd location (right next to Jewboy Burgers, an Austin favorite). It is run by a couple from Belarus that came here right after Covid to open up a restaurant, with a sister in Minsk. Defying expectations, the menu is not Balkan at all. If anything, there is a strong Asian influence with poke bowls and a lot of seafood. But the menu also offers beef tartare on their raw bar menu, as well as a steak offering and grilled chicken. It's a diverse and adventurous menu, all the way from small plates to hefty mains and vegetable sides. For the dessert, try the pavlova, a meringue confection stuffed with coconut mousse and topped with lime sorbet and a grapefruit slice sidecar. Everything is superbly presented, and unquestionably fresh and healthy without veering into twigs and berries territory. The cocktail menu is also playful, with a lot of nontraditional glassware and slight spins on popular drinks; their version of a Paloma uses prosecco instead of a splash of soda. The servers are all dressed in rosé jumpsuits and very attentive. The space is amiable and elegant without being pretentious. The table spacing is a little close, so that conversations carry between guests. The table setting has some nice touches, like the little wooden bench that holds your fork and knife off the table. In European fashion, water can be asked for but it won't be served with ice. Plan on taking your time and enjoying course after course.

Rosé Gosé was a delightful Mother's Day lunch spot. It is a whole vibe, and it is uniquely French! When we walked in an artist was playing romantic music on his keyboard, which set the tone for the brunch. It is a small restaurant inside with a larger area of seating on the patio. Of course, our reservations were inside in the comforts of air conditioning. You immediately notice a wine wall hence the name Rosé Gosé. The restaurant has many windows which provide lots of natural light. The tables house miniature yellow roses and utensils sat in a small wooden block...very French. All the servers were dressed in mauve clothing that resemble scrubs from a hospital. If someone stepped out in a French beret, I would have fallen over. Our server, Sergey, immediately served us water and took our order. The restaurant was highlighted as a modern European bistro. The atmosphere was charming, elegant, and stylish making it ideal for a Mother's Day brunch. My hubby ordered a ribeye, eggs and French Fries. I ordered the avocado toast with salmon and egg whites. While I'm not a huge red meat eater, I tasted a piece of the hubs ribeye and it was nicely prepared. My avocado toast was yummy to the nth degree! Everything was perfect. The avocado was precisely cut and at the right level of softness. The salmon was chopped into tiny little squares and so enjoyable to eat. We could not be more pleased. With a name like Rosé Gosé you would expect their drinks to be superb. My hubby ordered a hibiscus tea, which was delightful. I ordered a mimosa that had high quality ingredients and was perfectly balanced...so smooth. We were also pleased with the drinks. This was the first time at Rosé Gosé, however, it definitely will not be the last.
