    Chorizo & Egg Burrito
    John D.

We decided to eat somewhere we rarely eat at and haven't be to for a long time. So here we are. Simple order bean & cheese and chorizo & egg burrito. It was delivered as ordered. Bean & cheese had decent taste. But the tortilla was excessively thick. I ended up unwrapping the burrito and eating the beans separately. The chorizo and egg was similarly wrapped, the egg was dry. Salsa was needed to add moisture. Surprising because chorizo is generally fatty so there should be some moisture. There was a good amount of chorizo in the eggs. However it lacked any real flavor. Breakfast was something in our stomach - but that's about it.

    Hair ball in the barbacoa

Picked up Taco cabana and ordered posole and 1/2 lb of barbacoa. My girlfriend made a barbacoa taco and started eating. She bit in and there was something tough and chewey! She pulled out some kinda hair ball from her mouth! Seriously, this is disgusting! Wish I could give 0 stars!!! Will never be back!!!

This is what you'll be surprised with when you order a lb of barbacoa

I normally go to Taco Cabana because the food is always great but this time the food was a nightmare! I ordered a pound of barbacoa for take out and once I got home I was shocked when I opened the box! At first I thought that maybe I had just gone through a moment of vision loss but it turns out that this is what you'll receive when you order a pound of barbacoa. It almost looks like the cooks saw a scrambling rat in the kitchen, grabbed it, bashed it, prepped it and threw it on the grill then proceeded to serve it, this is absolutely ridiculous. The worst part is this food wasn't given to me for free, I HAD TO PAY FOR IT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET, that being said I should receive what I'm paying for! Rule for thumb for taco cabana: if you wouldn't eat it, then don't serve it to people. I am completely disappointed at this laughable place that calls itself a restaurant.

    Wtf is that baby poop?

Spent almost $60 ordering from postmates only to receive cold, nasty food - which was 20 min late and almost everything was wrong. I won't hold this against postemates, I was just very annoyed that I waited for a late order when nothing was even good or right. Ordered nachos that were supposed to have ground beef, pico, guac, sour cream & jalapeños. Nachos I received were just shredded chicken and queso. Ordered chicken fajitas that were supposed to come with salsa ranch, guac and other toppings. Only received these sad af dried, cold chicken in a sad af tortilla. The guac was brown and tasted gross and over ripe. Everything that was "right" tasted cold and gross. I'm writing this bc I'm bugged af that I spent all this money and waited over an hour for nasty af food that wasn't even right. See

    Empty and dirty salsa bar

The slowest, dirtiest fast food chain on Coors Blvd! Salsa bar was empty of most items. Trash cans overflowing and not one employee that was really working. This is ANOTHER NM business that can't focus on drive thru and indoor dining. 27 minute wait for two items? Pass.

This is a chicken fajita? I'm dying hahaha. I could've done this myself guys... come on. For $9??

As I waited in the drive thru I saw an employee who was preparing food touch bacon and tortillas with her bare hands. Absolutely disgusting.

Consistent, pretty decent food, most staff usually friendly. Kid at drive up today was not in sync with af norm.

It's difficult to find good restaurants that can cater to young adults and have REALLY good food and service. We came first on Sunday for brunch. The food was very good. It was a bit small on the portions though. We had breakfast enchiladas and omelet and blue corn pancakes. Then we came back for dinner. The chicken mole was divine, tacos, sea bass, pork steak etc. absolutely perfect. Good portions. Food tastes like it was homemade. The cuisine is Mexican...not New Mexican. The server was great about answering any questions and willing to omit something if possible. Our server was attentive and so gracious. The wine list was surprisingly good. We had a French Viognier for less than $50. Finally the owner came out to talk to us and thanks us for coming. I'm in the business and haven't had this kind of service for a long time. Our son with Celiac was very satisfied, but also we all were. I would absolutely come back regardless of food restrictions. Please go!!

The property seems massive and it's really beautiful with all the cottonwood trees. When you get into the restaurant, there are just tons of combinations of these cozy little nooks, long dining tables, separated rooms, patio seating, and event spaces. There is something to see everywhere you look; fountains, fireplaces, and plants, hanging chiles, and more. They even raise cattle and chickens on property and source from their own greenhouse for their menu items. The ambience was just really cool and even though the winds were blowing like crazy, we were totally comfortable out in the patio section with the screens up. The food is authentic New Mexican cuisine. They brought out delicious tortilla chips for us to snack on while we decided on what to order. It really felt like there was no wrong choice to make. They were very accommodating for food allergies and restrictions. There was great flavor in everything our group tried. I split the half order of chicken nachos and it was a hefty half order! I was so stuffed, but then, hot sopapillas appeared and I couldn't say no to those! Especially not since the tables had their own sourced honey. There is also a full tequila bar, but since we were traveling with kids, didn't get to take too much advantage of that as an option. I wish we would've had more to explore the property but if I end up back in the Albuquerque area, I'll stop by again.

The good: The red chile rubbed ribs are phenomenal, but 1/2 rack for $44?! It's not a lobster tail. Beans and guac-excellent, calabacitas-very good. The chicken enchiladas-delicious with tender chicken. The bad: 2 Grand Gold margaritas at $15 each that were neither grand or gold. I've had better house margaritas at Applebees, lol. Their red chile was sparse, but that actually turned out in my favor because it was on the edge of burnt. A bit acrid. The sopas were dense, flat, chewy, and overcooked. The salsa-underwhelming. If you want excellent Grand Gold margaritas, the best salsa in New Mexico, and excellent portion sizes- SADIE'S ALL THE WAY!!!
