Big improvement from the place that was here before. The birria is okay, on the good side. It wasn't the best but it was decent. The Birria is made with beef not with goat like it supposed to be, but I'm sure it's because they are catering to the surrounding demographic, I'm okay with that. The quesadilla was nice and big very crispy with plenty of cheese. Between the green and red the red salad had better flavor and heat, but it takes a while to build up it doesn't hit you with heat right away. Honestly the show stopper was the agua fresca de melon, it wasn't made with that milky concentrate they used actual fruit and it was great I would come here just for that. I will be back to try that menudo special. The service is friendly and it's very low key and not fancy. But it's a little loud but not in a bad way.

The food at Birria Estilo Zacatecas is better than that at many Mexican places of this type. The carnitas and bacon breakfast burrito in particular are nicely done. Salsas are piquant with chile and subtly spiced. The portion size is larger than expected - not that I ever have a problem finishing every morsel. I've only ordered to go, but there is lots of seating in a clean, unassuming space that smells slightly of grill smoke. The counterman with whom I've spoken is friendly and attentive. It's not the fastest place in the world (they cook to order) but it's not slow and we're pretty darned happy with what they deliver.

These and Sanchez Tacos in Bernalillo are the best tacos we have had in ABQ since living here for the past 3 years. We have tried NUMEROUS spots and so far Birria Estilo and Sanchez Tacos (Bernalillo) stand out as the best. Great price and great flavor. I am only speaking for the tacos at both establishments. I tried the taquitos / flautas at Birria Estilo and they were not great...BUT the tacos were! Lol So if you're in the area and craving tacos be sure to swing by here!

Was craving birria ramen and found Birria Estilo Zacatecas, looks like this is their newer location For $15 I was expecting just birria ramen (which came in a huge bowl) but it also came with a side of 2 birria tacos which had a nice crunchy and tasty shell The birria ramen hit the spot, even on a over 100 degree day NOTE they have different specials in certain days, Wednesday therea a special when you buy 2 birria ramens

On Tuesdays they gave a good deal

When we went it wasn't busy. Our table didn't have napkins but not a big issue. Food came out quick. My husband got Burris tacos I got flautas. Both were ok. Customer service was good.

My sweetheart and I enjoyed Birria Ramen bowls for lunch. We enjoyed the ample, meaty, soup broth and our Birria tacos. I was happy all day and the next day.

I'm so glad they opened up this new location! I went in on a Thursday and got their special for the day which came with 3 birria tacos, consome, rice, and beans. It was so delicious and a great price! I also tried their bean and cheese burrito which I enjoyed, but I was honestly most impressed with the size! Overall the service was super friendly. And the inside of the place was spacious and clean. I'll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem on the northeast side of Wyoming. I was in the area and stumbled upon this local restaurant, which, according to my internet search, started as a food truck. The prices are very reasonable, and you definitely need to go on a Tuesday since they offer the absolute best deal on birria tacos. For just $35, you get 20 tacos with condiments, 4 fountain drinks, and 4 consommes! That's enough food for your entire family or perfect for ordering for a fiesta! The staff is super friendly, and the establishment is very clean and tidy. They accept cash, credit cards, and Apple Pay. I will definitely be back for more! Thank you for dinner tonight!

20 Birria Tacos for Tuesday Taco

The Birria tastes good which is why we have come here a few times, but this time we came and ordered the Tuesday special and the tacos were mini! Much different than last time we ordered the Tuesday special. I wish they had it in their sign that they changed the size/amount of food but kept the same price. Bummer. 80 mini tacos was not enough for our family but last time we ordered 80 tacos we had leftovers.

Excellent Birria, excellent Tacquitos!! Do not hesitate, get your ass over here!!! Tony will you hook you up!!

Yes, I get the hype, and in my opinion, totally worth it!…read more I came here on a Sunday night and they were very busy. The place is huge so they have plenty of tables available. I stood on line to order for maybe 10 minutes or so. I had the Carne Adovada Burrito, one soft Beef Taco, and rice and beans. Everything was excellent and tasted delicious. The price was very reasonable. I wish we had a restaurant like this on Long Island.

Directly across the street from University of New Mexico's main entrance, this place is packed when school is in session. This place is huge, but not at first glance. Walk into the retro-looking, Western themed dining room, and you'll see a huge menu board above the order counter. There is are several freestyle soda machines in the middle of the room. There are little digital screens in the corner where you watch for your order number and a counter in the corner where you go pick up your food. It's not until you go into the next room that you discover there is another "next room," and then another. There is a lot of art on the walls, including several John Wayne pictures. The girl at the counter who took our order was an absolute ray of sunshine--so friendly and sweet. We ordered the green chili cheeseburger with onion rings and the daily special which is the "green pile-up" (beans, hash browns, scrambled egg, and green chili beef). The good came our talented quickly, and was quite yummy. Frontier is an Albuquerque classic. If it old? Yes, but it has a huge faithful following, not including the things of UNM students that pack this giant diner during the school year. It may not be a "must try" for some, but if you want Albuquerque nostalgia, this is your place. Btw--it's pretty darn cheap,!

We know good Mexican food, as we are from San Diego, and wanted to try the southwest fare. WHAT AN AMAZING CHOICE! The lovely hostess was charming, engaging and sweet (wish i had her name) and our waiter (Edgar) was authentic, personable and fun to chat with. We had been at a movie and had eaten a bit too much popcorn so we did not order a lot. The three of us shared the free blue corn (not fried) chips with three salsa samples. We then shared a salad and the amazingly good four taco sampler. Thank you Herencia (Enrique the owner, and staff) for this wonderful evening.

Server didn't check on us too often and let someone at the table run out of water for 5 minutes until we asked for more. I had the pork al pastor ($26). It was cooked well and seasoned really nicely. Lobster enchiladas were nice but unique just to be unique. I asked for recommendations and all of the options were the most expensive on the menu which was odd to me. If they have a cheaper lunch menu it might be worth trying, but I think the dinner isn't worth it for the price. Four entrees and a soda was $130 plus tip.

I had the house special chili ribs and the ribs aren't flavorful. There is no distinctive taste to these ribs but chilied. But since the chili is tasteless themselves, it doesn't contribute to the overall flavor of the ribs anyway. 2/5 Stuff sopadillas with beef is very large and filling. For the lunch menu, the price is rather affordable for how much food I ordered. The tastes? I can't tell because it is comparable to any other restaurants. Nothing really stands out to me. 4/5 The regular sopadilla with honey as a side dish is amazing and you can't really go wrong with sopadilla and honey 5/5. Chips and salsa is continuously refilled as requested. Overall service is average, with water refill being done per request, not automatically. I personally would take tourists here to experience the cute vibe of New Mexico that this restaurant gives: a cute brunch with the ladies, a nice hang out and gathering with friends.
