This is what I left on the table. I wouldn't feed it to my dog.

The chimichanga taste like it was cooked in Old burnt oil. The tortilla was completely saturated in Grease. There was one lady who took the orders served the food and bust the tables. Every table had people sitting there. No drink refills. They need more help. If you want a sopapilla it's $3 extra. Each. The table was sticky. There was no air conditioning and it was hot in there. I was sweating sitting at the table. Won't be going back. But I said that last time when I went there about a year ago.

Great little hole in wall New Mexican restaurant. Food is delicious and Chile has nice flavor. The restaurant is small and located in little strip mall but don't let that keep you away. You won't regret giving this place a chance for lunch.

1st time at Papa Nacho's and the tacos were delicious! I'm a taco person and I'm always looking for crispy tacos like you find in Olvera Street or other taco places in California. The taco shell was pan fried not premade and they were generous with the shredded beef, cheese, lettuce & tomato and salsa! I've always wanted to stop because I have heard such great things about their food. Everyone was right ! Great customer service and the restaurant was constantly busy. It's just south of Paseo on Louisiana. Very casual great for families or couples!

Gorditas - Two plates of gorditas, a traditional Mexican dish, are held by hands in the image. Each plate contains a large, round, fried gordita with sides of rice, beans, and possibly meat. A small container of green sauce is visible in the background, along with a person holding a drink. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment.

I am always on the lookout for hidden secret mom & pop restaurants, and this time, I was looking for gorditas to beat Little Diner in Canutillo, TX. Sadly, these gorditas were not the ones, but they weren't bad. Prices are high considering the total lack of atmosphere. But worse, the sopapillas are the worst I've ever had in my life. Loaded down with grease and cold, they hit your stomach like a lumpy rock. The service was friendly and attentive, though.

Side tablez - The image shows a section of a restaurant interior with two wooden tables and several white chairs with maroon cushions. The walls are painted yellow and decorated with framed artwork, including a large poster and smaller pictures. A red display cabinet with glass doors is positioned against the wall, containing decorative items. The floor is tiled with patterned tiles, and a television is mounted on the wall near a vent or speaker.

Let's start with the corn chips... So crunchy and good. Then the salsa! So good we bought a pint to take home. The fish tacos were served in two soft corn tortillas with sides of beans and rice. So flavorful! Just enough spice and heat without being overpowering. The nachos were smothered in beef, mozzarella and cheddar cheese, beans and all the toppings. The service is excellent and the constant flow of take out is always a good sign of a great restaurant!

Simply fantastic bean and cheese burrito, chimichanga style with green chile sauce - A large burrito covered with melted cheese and sour cream is presented on a blue patterned plate. A spoon holds a portion of refried beans and chopped vegetables. In the background, there are small containers of salsa and sauce, along with a side salad of lettuce and diced tomatoes. The dish appears to be part of Mexican or New Mexican cuisine, served in a casual dining setting.

We were passing through town, so exhausted after moving my son to college in Colorado. All we wanted was a decent meal, and did we ever find that and more at Papa Nachos. Here's what I appreciated: -The employees were next-level kind and friendly. -They were visibly diligent about scrubbing and cleaning all tables and surfaces. Every table has a bottle of hand sanitizer. -I ordered the bean and cheese burrito chimi style. The beans were mashed in a way that left some beans whole. Great texture-delicious! -My entree came with a green chile sauce that was flavorful without being overly spicy, just like I like it. -The burrito was fried perfectly. It wasn't even remotely greasy and had a nice light crunch to it. -The whole vibe here is that the employees care about what they're doing. There seem to be a lot of regulars here. If I were to ever move to Albuquerque...

This place makes some of best made in house chili rellenos. They were delicious. I love their rice and homemade salsa too. The salsa opens up your sinus's in a good way. What fun to have an old school Mexican Coke in a tall glass bottle. It made my day. Thank you ladies, your service was great.

A serving of quesadillas, cut into triangular pieces, is presented on a white paper-lined tray. The quesadillas are golden brown with some darker spots, indicating they are toasted. A small clear cup of dark dipping sauce, possibly salsa or gravy, is placed in the center of the tray. The presentation is casual, typical of a Mexican or New Mexican cuisine setting.

Looking for vegetarian options when seeking TexMex in ABQ is a challenge but not at Papa Nachos No meat or lard in their beans. I asked. Score! Wet bean & cheese burrito & veggie quesadillas were the choice of the day and yes please we will take both chile sauces as they state on their menu that those are likewise meat free! Smooth, flavorful & paired with homemade chips, this was a perfect lunch spot Tons of people coming in while we were pursuing the menu so we knew we'd come to the right place

It's difficult to find good restaurants that can cater to young adults and have REALLY good food and service. We came first on Sunday for brunch. The food was very good. It was a bit small on the portions though. We had breakfast enchiladas and omelet and blue corn pancakes. Then we came back for dinner. The chicken mole was divine, tacos, sea bass, pork steak etc. absolutely perfect. Good portions. Food tastes like it was homemade. The cuisine is Mexican...not New Mexican. The server was great about answering any questions and willing to omit something if possible. Our server was attentive and so gracious. The wine list was surprisingly good. We had a French Viognier for less than $50. Finally the owner came out to talk to us and thanks us for coming. I'm in the business and haven't had this kind of service for a long time. Our son with Celiac was very satisfied, but also we all were. I would absolutely come back regardless of food restrictions. Please go!!

The property seems massive and it's really beautiful with all the cottonwood trees. When you get into the restaurant, there are just tons of combinations of these cozy little nooks, long dining tables, separated rooms, patio seating, and event spaces. There is something to see everywhere you look; fountains, fireplaces, and plants, hanging chiles, and more. They even raise cattle and chickens on property and source from their own greenhouse for their menu items. The ambience was just really cool and even though the winds were blowing like crazy, we were totally comfortable out in the patio section with the screens up. The food is authentic New Mexican cuisine. They brought out delicious tortilla chips for us to snack on while we decided on what to order. It really felt like there was no wrong choice to make. They were very accommodating for food allergies and restrictions. There was great flavor in everything our group tried. I split the half order of chicken nachos and it was a hefty half order! I was so stuffed, but then, hot sopapillas appeared and I couldn't say no to those! Especially not since the tables had their own sourced honey. There is also a full tequila bar, but since we were traveling with kids, didn't get to take too much advantage of that as an option. I wish we would've had more to explore the property but if I end up back in the Albuquerque area, I'll stop by again.
