The jalapeño cornbread with the butter is probably one of my favorite things on the menu. Oh my goodness, it is SO good! I'm pretty sure I've even placed a to-go order before just because I wanted the jalapeño cornbread . I also love the potato tortillas they have as an appetizer. They are really, really good, and the birria tacos are great as well. I can't remember exactly what my dad ordered when we went together, but I do remember that he loved his food too. I've had a great experience every time I've been, and it's definitely a place I would recommend!

I haven't tried an entrée yet because my group usually orders a few dips to share, and they've always been a hit. That said, the dishes I've seen at other tables have looked delicious. The outdoor patio is one of my favorite features--it's a great place for people-watching, enjoying the atmosphere, and having a daytime drink. The service has been solid on every visit. Nothing extraordinary, but friendly, efficient, and with no complaints. Overall, it's a place I'd happily come back to.

Also the guacamole, the cheese dip and the tacos. They do have a full bar and can do frozen drinks. I loved that you can add your own toppings to your tacos. The tacos come with just meat. You can add onions, limes, cilantro and pickled onions and pickled jalapeños as well as sauce. They had a Verde sauce as well as regular salsa, and a Salsa Borachja sauce with onion, garlic and Mexican beer. It was spicy and delicious. They have plenty of counter seating, a few tables inside and several tables outside. This is a tapas bar more than a testaurant.

The menu has a lot of unique options and I had a hard time narrowing down what I wanted to order. I ended up ordering the Gringa Bonita salad, and it was really fresh. The chicken was cooked well and the portion was large. My friend is gluten free and she ordered a quesadilla. Our waiter took her gluten allergy very seriously and checked with the kitchen multiple times to answer her questions and reassure her. We also ordered queso and it was delicious. The beans and rice, however, were really good and probably my favorite part of the meal. One thing that really took away from the experience was the atmosphere. The entire area felt extremely dark, and it gave the place a somewhat sketchy and uncomfortable feeling. Maybe that's just the vibe of the food hall, but it definitely affected our experience. We ordered three Tacos Combos, and the total came to around $60. For what we received, I felt that was way overpriced. The food wasn't bad, but at that price, I expected a lot more in terms of portion, quality, or overall experience. Would I eat here again? Maybe, but I definitely wouldn't go out of my way for it. The beans and rice were great, but the tacos and price just didn't impress me enough to justify the cost.

One thing I really liked was the wide variety of protein options on the menu. I ordered two tripa tacos and was very happy with the flavor. The tripa was well-seasoned, and the tacos were satisfying overall. The staff on the truck were friendly and patient while I decided what to order, and I never felt rushed. My food was prepared quickly, which I definitely appreciated. The only downside was the price. I paid around $11 or $12 for two tacos, which is a bit more expensive than the food truck I usually visit. That said, I assume the higher price is due to the Lakeview location. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely stop by again if I'm in the Lakeview area.

Where do I begin?…read more First of all, the restaurant is very colorfully decorated, which instantly brightens the mood. We were able to seat ourselves, and immediately afterwards the waitress brought complimentary salsa and chips as she took our drink and food order. The salsa and chips were very good. The chips were crisp and freshly made and the salsa had just the right amount of kick to it. It was sweet and unique and I could see myself ordering it as a to-go order. For our entrees, I ordered 3 street tacos and cheese dip. My guy ordered the steak fajita plate. After a short wait, our food arrived, hot and fresh off the grill. I wasn't a fan of the pollo taco. It was bland and lacked any type of flavor. However, the campechano and chorizo versions were much better. The cheese dip stayed watered down even after it cooled but had a good flavor to it. I looked up to see my guy reaching for the salt shaker several times. I tasted a small serving of his steak. Yall..,.I kid you not. That steak had no type of seasoning-no salt, no pepper, no nothing had been sprinkled on it. To sum it up...it was overcooked and under seasoned. He kept trying to doctor the dish up by adding salt and pepper but after a while stopped because that should've been done in the cooking of the dish. He only ate a 1/3 of his dish. Upon paying the check, he attempted to share his disappointment with the waitress, who now all of a sudden, doesn't understand English. Keep in mind, we had been communicating with her just fine throughout our time there. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the restaurant location anytime soon. I've visited the truck before and will return there.
