The homemade cornbread was excellent with butter. It was nice to have a dedicated/assigned waitress to provide me with silverware, iced tea, etc. She was both sweet and efficient. Unfortunately, their worn-out and cracked plastic plates need to be retired from service. I liked the casual atmosphere, with oldies Soul music playing in the background. I'll probably return, but will make sure that my plate isn't defective.

The gap between courses was unacceptable -- there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no apology, and no communication whatsoever from our waitress. To make matters worse, when the bill finally arrived, it was completely wrong. Our waitress had mixed up the orders and charged us incorrectly. Rather than having it resolved at the table, we were forced to leave our seats and walk up to the front counter ourselves just to get the ticket straightened out. That alone speaks volumes about the level of service (or lack thereof) being provided. Between the endless wait, the billing errors, and having to sort out someone else's mistake on our own time, this was a thoroughly unpleasant outing.
