After our appetizer was served, we sat for an excessively long time waiting for our entrees with no update from our server. The gap between courses was unacceptable -- there was no acknowledgment of the delay, no apology, and no communication whatsoever from our waitress. To make matters worse, when the bill finally arrived, it was completely wrong. Our waitress had mixed up the orders and charged us incorrectly. Rather than having it resolved at the table, we were forced to leave our seats and walk up to the front counter ourselves just to get the ticket straightened out. That alone speaks volumes about the level of service (or lack thereof) being provided. Between the endless wait, the billing errors, and having to sort out someone else's mistake on our own time, this was a thoroughly unpleasant outing. For a seafood restaurant, the experience should match the food -- and neither delivered. Do NOT recommend. Save yourself the headache and dine elsewhere. read more

Came across this little seafood shack while in town passing through one night. Dinner was very good, the service was attentive and tried to make our meal enjoyable. The place is not very big inside, tables and chairs in the middle with a booth wall with chairs around the perimeter. Calamari and corn dog appetizers for starters, they were both very good. The mini corn battered dogs were exceptionally good Combo platter with fish, tenders and shrimp was where I opted, served with fries and coleslaw. The fish was very good, cooked to perfection, same for the chicken tenders and the shrimp. Had the shrimp grilled and they were very good. This is a hearty platter of food and it hit the spot for me that night. We needed a quick lunch stop & are glad that we found Seafood Shack. We were able to choose our own seats & we're waited on immediately. Wow! The menu has tons of choices! My husband & I each opted for the Shrimp Basket. Lots of great-looking food came out of the kitchen while we waited just a few minutes for our order. The steam bags looked like they'd be delicious. Our shrimp was crisp, hot, & big! The French fries were good, too. I'm glad that I tried the cole slaw. It had a nice flavor. Portions on everything were big enough to satisfy just about anyone. Wait staff was pleasant & attentive. We'd recommend this as a good choice for a meal. It was easy on & off the highway, so that made it even better. read more

A Seafood Feast ! The Seafood Shack was a great find in the Marion Area. I was looking for an alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. I found the Seafood Shack while Googling restaurants in the area. When I arrived at this quaint local spot, it was not quite that busy, and I was seated and served right away. I let the server know that it was my first time at Seasfood Shack and they took their time and helped walk me through the menu. My choices that night started with crispy and tasty fried crab that came with two sauces for dipping. The crab was not too greasy, and the coating was fantastic. My main course was a surf and turf special with Crab Legs and a Ribeye steak. The Crab portion was a healthy size and very filling. The steak was surprisingly good and cooked just the way I asked. The service was great and I received a very good meal at a reasonable price. read more

Being from Louisiana this place it's good for Marion. The taste is good with the boiled shrimp.

I have experienced two separate issues at this establishment, and on both occasions the concerns were not addressed or resolved. I continue to purchase food here; however, the quality of the food received through the drive-through is consistently not the same as when dining in. As a paying customer, if I spend $100, I expect my order to be prepared correctly. When I attempted to discuss the matter, the manager redirected me to another staff member rather than addressing the issue directly. My concerns included the food having little to no seasoning and the crab legs being rubbery every time I use the drive-through. read more

SOOO GOOOOD!!! Just passing thru area staying at Tom Sawyer's RV Park looking to treat ourselves for 4 long days travel. Reviews looked good and boy were they dead on. It was a Sunday early dinner time and they were busy but we got in quickly. The server came over immediately gave us menu's took our drink order. The menu was extensive it took a few minutes for read thru it. Returning quickly with our drinks the server helped us navigate the menu and offered recommendations. We chose the Fried Crawfish Tails appetizer and kept reading. Before we new it the appetizer was there and we both ordered the Shrimp Bag (We never order the same thing). I got SS sauce/medium and my wife got Cajun/medium. We love deep fried crawfish tails and this was the best we've ever had and that includes New Orleans. The Remoulade was so flavorful as well. The shrimp bags also came surprisingly fast and the were PACKED with steaming hot perfectly cooked very large shrimp, a big slice of smoked sausage and some tender red potatoes, WOW! We both sampled each others and agreed we'd go with the SS sauce next time and get the MILD. Don't get us wrong we've had many versions of the Seafood boil bag entrees over the years and Medium was always fine but this was more suited for our level off Hot. We ate everything in each bag the flavors were great but phewwww we had some forehead sweat working. We ate and ate and ate man we're we full. The server checked in with us, refilled drinks, removed empty plates etc. And even though it was busy, politely chatted with us. We finished with the Key Lime pie, it was pretty good but not exactly what you'd expect. Kinda a frozen tart looking presentation that wasn't what we'd hoped for. No bad certainly but didn't make the grade. No problem though we were so darn happy. Ok here's where reviews usually end but this is a twofer. It was so good we went back for lunch the next day ;-) We just couldn't resist. Had to get the Fried Crawfish Tails appetizer and this time we got the fried Shrimp Po-boys (my wife copied me again). We were sure the 8 shrimp the menu said it would come with would be a smaller size but t they weren't they were so large they overfilled the bun. We've got to say again that this is a legit Po-boy heaping with perfectly seasoned lightly breaded shrimp lettuce, and tomatoes. Wonderful! read more

As we were heading back to TN, we checked out this place. On a Saturday afternoon, it was not too packed. We were seated immediately and our server came very quickly. We ordered the gator bites to start. The menu has a decent selection of seafood, but the Korean bbq caught my attention. We ordered it and a basket of shrimp and catfish. As we waited for our food, we noticed the specials on the wall. I wish the waitress would have mentioned it because I love halibut. The place is not too loud and would make for a great family gathering. The gator bites were seasoned and were fried, but weren't greasy at all. I would order them again in a heartbeat. The catfish was amazingly fresh but lacked seasoning. The shrimp were mediocre at best. The star of the show was the Korean bbq. My short ribs were flavorful and juicy. Staff was sweet and considerate. I would try this place again, if I could because all their sauces are house made. Which may mean those seafood boil bags could be pretty epic...but those ribs...so good! read more

Sometimes good things take time. We'd wanted to try this for months (it's 20 miles away so we need an excuse). The first time we were in the area there was a VERY long wait time and we didn't have the patience. This time we were passing through at a less busy time. Glad we did. My wife had the (grilled) shrimp salad and pronounced it very good. We shared an order of grilled oysters - we both agreed on their "goodness" . The real star of the meal however was the gator bites! Yes I know, almost everyone has had these by now, but these may have been the best I've had - even in their reputed home (Louisiana, or Mississippi, or Florida?). They were much tenderer and larger than I'm used to. Worth trying again, or even making a meal of them. We shared a key lime pie for dessert. The taste was good but it was noticeably defrosting, which deflated our enjoyment. The service was good. This is a "relatively small joint - about 20 tables, one room. It seems to specialize in steamed bags of seafood- same as many such places which popped up in our area the last few years. This restaurant is a fantastic seafood stop. Surprisingly fabulous seafood found in Arkansas. My wife and I stop here for lunch and/or dinner every time during our travels from St Louis South. The menu is more extensive than you might imagine for the restaurants location. It's location is easy to find just off I-55. The service is quick and very friendly servers. The seafood is top notch and is served hot. Whether it's a poboy sandwich, a basket, or fresh boil, the food is wonderful. As a Cajun , born an raised in South Louisiana, this is some good seafood. The restaurant is clean and reminds me of a typical Cajun seafood house. I stop there all the time. I plan my departures to arrive there for lunches typically. read more

First time coming here and it may not be my last. I ordered the Grilled Chicken Sandwich with no pickles, fries, and a sweet tea. Although I can't recall the waitress's name, she was nice and checked on us periodically. It was easy to order and the food came out in a decent time. Other than the fact that my sandwich still had pickles on it, there was no issue and everything was delicious. If it's your first time here, I would definitely recommend the Grilled Chicken Sandwich combo. The fries were nice, hot, and well seasoned. read more

The Seafood Shack filled a void that I was missing, but it's not the best seafood I've had. The restaurant was clean and cozy. I think it used to be a Long Johns Silvers, it's still set up like a fast food restaurant. My waitress was nice and attentive. I ordered the gator bites for an appetizer. They were delicious! For the main course I had the seashell bag which consists of 2 lobster tails, snow crab legs, mussels, clams, shrimp, sausage, potatoes and corn on the cob. You can choose your sauce, if you like flavor, I suggest getting the house sauce which is a mixture of all sauces. i opted for medium heat. It had a kick but was not overwhelming. My only issue was that most of the seafood was overcooked and was obviously frozen. I can't expect to have fresh seafood in Arkansas but the least they can do is not overcook it. Nevertheless I will be back to try other seafood bags. read more

Road tripping thru West Memphis and we stopped here on a whim. We shared the crab cake bites (a special that day) and the shrimp boil bag with SS House Sauce. There was no sauce left - between sopping it up with rolls and anything else we could find, the tray was almost clean when we were down. Highly recommend both of these items!! Also a decent price on draft beer. The critique I do have is the cole slaw had no flavor, so we added the crab cake dipping sauce. That zested it up some. Also had the deep fried crawdad appetizer. Never had crawdad deep fried like this. It was also just ok.
