    a hearty meal
    Ray F.

Came across this little seafood shack while in town passing through one night. Dinner was very good, the service was attentive and tried to make our meal enjoyable. The place is not very big inside, tables and chairs in the middle with a booth wall with chairs around the perimeter. Calamari and corn dog appetizers for starters, they were both very good. The mini corn battered dogs were exceptionally good Combo platter with fish, tenders and shrimp was where I opted, served with fries and coleslaw. The fish was very good, cooked to perfection, same for the chicken tenders and the shrimp. Had the shrimp grilled and they were very good. This is a hearty platter of food and it hit the spot for me that night. I had a cold bottled Stella with my meal and it was a great add. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the Stella in the bottle 01129

We needed a quick lunch stop & are glad that we found Seafood Shack. We were able to choose our own seats & we're waited on immediately. Wow! The menu has tons of choices! My husband & I each opted for the Shrimp Basket. Lots of great-looking food came out of the kitchen while we waited just a few minutes for our order. The steam bags looked like they'd be delicious. Our shrimp was crisp, hot, & big! The French fries were good, too. I'm glad that I tried the cole slaw. It had a nice flavor. Portions on everything were big enough to satisfy just about anyone. Wait staff was pleasant & attentive. We'd recommend this as a good choice for a meal. It was easy on & off the highway, so that made it even better.

A Seafood Feast ! The Seafood Shack was a great find in the Marion Area. I was looking for an alternative to the chain restaurants in the area. I found the Seafood Shack while Googling restaurants in the area. When I arrived at this quaint local spot, it was not quite that busy, and I was seated and served right away. I let the server know that it was my first time at Seasfood Shack and they took their time and helped walk me through the menu. My choices that night started with crispy and tasty fried crab that came with two sauces for dipping. The crab was not too greasy, and the coating was fantastic. My main course was a surf and turf special with Crab Legs and a Ribeye steak. The Crab portion was a healthy size and very filling. The steak was surprisingly good and cooked just the way I asked. The service was great and I received a very good meal at a reasonable price.

Table service, a domestic beer selection, friendly staff and AMAZING OYSTERS!! The catfish and the frog legs were great too but try those Cajuns baked oysters!! The jalepeno may surprise you a little but it is worth the risk!!

Service and food was excellent!! Prices were fair. The inside looks a lot smaller than the outside of the building. Would like more options for seating such as booths. I will definitely be going back!

Food is always good! Good service even when busy. Like anything else these days slightly overpriced for what you get.

The menu is the perfect size -- not overwhelming -- and everything is priced fairly for the quality you're getting. You can truly tell the food is made fresh. I started with two sides: the crawfish étouffée balls and the Zydeco shrimp. The étouffée balls were made in-house and packed with amazing flavor. The flash-fried shrimp had the perfect amount of crispiness and paired perfectly with that delicious Zydeco sauce they were coated in. After almost getting full from the appetizers alone, I still had to try the catfish Po'Boy -- and wow, that French bread was some of the freshest I've had! The catfish was seasoned perfectly, and the whole sandwich paired great with their homestyle fries. I highly recommend stopping by 2 Crazy Fellas. The food, freshness, and flavors speak for themselves. I already know I'll be back many more times!

The bar itself is intimate with about 8 seats, so get there early if you want one. From the outside, the place looks like a literal house, but once you step inside it's a whole vibe: low lighting, great music, and nonstop food and drinks flowing. The bartenders were amazing--friendly, attentive, and clearly know what they're doing. We ordered wings, fries, Brussels sprouts, and spring rolls, plus a spicy margarita and French 75s. Every single thing hit. The food came out quick, fresh, and piping hot, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. By the time we left around 7 PM, the place was completely packed. This spot fills up fast for a reason. Can't wait to come back and work our way through more of the menu. Highly recommend--this is a must-visit.

One suggestion: the front patio could really benefit from some music. Even a low-volume speaker tied into the DJ's system would help create the same experience outside without disturbing the neighborhood. The biggest challenge is parking. Street parking is risky, and several visitors have learned the hard way that tickets are easy to get. Save yourself the headache and use the parking garage across the street for about $4. It's worth it compared to a $25 parking ticket. Unfortunately, service was the weakest part of the experience. The staff appeared overworked, overwhelmed, and likely short-staffed. While that is understandable, the customer experience suffered. There was very little interaction from greeters, servers, or bartenders. Guests are instructed to wait to be seated, but there was little guidance, communication, or assistance. Long waits and a lack of acknowledgment made the visit frustrating. Food was mixed. The wings and fries were excellent--so good they disappeared before there was time to take a picture. The spring rolls, however, were under-seasoned, slightly overcooked, and only two come with an order, which felt disappointing for the price. The dipping sauces helped, but the filling could have used more flavor. The standout of the night was the Smash It cocktail. Made with Suntory Toki whiskey, basil, lemon, simple syrup, and an absinthe rinse, it was refreshing, balanced, and absolutely delicious. Easily the highlight of the visit. Would I return? Yes. But next time I'll go with adjusted expectations: eat beforehand, enjoy the atmosphere, grab a cocktail, and consider anything else a bonus. Pro Tips: Order the Smash It cocktail. The wings and fries are worth trying. Park in the garage across the street. Don't expect fast service during busy times. If you're hungry, have a snack before you arrive. Great atmosphere and cocktails, but service and parking keep it from reaching its full potential. With better staffing and a little more attention to guests, this place could easily be a 5-star experience.
