I finally made my way over to this archetypal Tex-Mex restaurant for a late lunch/early supper. I ordered the Cheese Chicken with extra onions. The dish was delicious, and the portion size was generous. The service was very good, although there was sometimes a language barrier with my waiter. The interior of the restaurant was nicely decorated and festive. I'm glad that I tried this place, and look forward to returning again someday. A sold four stars. read more

Altogether this place packs a good Mexican food punch. The service is hit and miss as I think they are somewhat understaffed and could use some help in that area. The ambiance is chill and the building and restrooms clean. The food is good quality and flavorful. You get a little bowl of pinto beans with your chips and salsa and they are divine. This is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. The restaurant itself is spacious, clean, and vibrant. We're always greeted with a smile. The wait staff is always friendly and prompt. Of course, the most important part of any restaurant is the food. It's very good. I've eaten many things off the menu you and have never had a bad experience. It's always fresh hot and served fairly quickly. Additionally, they provide free chips and salsa. However, with it they also give you beans with little pork pieces in them. This restaurant is amazing! We are from Oregon and we were visiting Memphis for a few days. We found this restaurant when going over the border to visit Arkansas. Everything was delicious! Took a last minute stop to get gas and food, not even thinking that there would be a Mexican restaurant nearby but we searched and there it was 3 minutes from the gas. Dang! We tried this restaurant last night and it was great. The menu has a great variety that would please most people. The service was fast and the ladies were friendly and polite. We had the street tacos and loaded tacos. The food was great. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the restaurant is decorated authentic Mexican. The place was extremely busy, on a Thursday night. As a native Texan, I can confidently say the pastor tacos were among the best tacos I've had in a while, probably in my top 10 of all time. 10/10 would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone. However, I will dock one star on the food because the chips & salsa needed more love, and the beans provided were bland and a disappointment. They have hot sauce on the table you can add to make the salsa spicy, but it changes the flavor, and the chips needed a little bit more seasoning. If they had served refried beans with some queso fresco on top, I would have left the fifth star since the chips and salsa were still good in terms of flavor. If they could add items to the menu like enchiladas that use Mexican crema or molé poblano, they would become a force to be reckoned with. The decor was nice and the service was very quick. My wife and I stopped here for lunch on our way to Fairfield Bay, AR from Memphis, TN. It's right off the interstate. We were not sure what to expect for Mexican food in Arkansas. We are VERY glad we tried it. Immediately upon entering we were warmly greeted and sat. The staff is very responsive. The food did not take long to come out, yet it was hot and very well plated. I cannot say enough about how great it tasted. It is authentic as Mexican gets. But the authenticity doesn't stop there; from the decor, to the service, to the atmosphere, to the menu selections, to how you are made to feel like you are a guest at someone's home. Their service even went to the point of the manager chasing me down as I was about to pull away from the parking lot to return my wallet and cellphone I had forgotten at the table. Chicken fajitas for 2 could easily feed a family of 4! Dinner for 2 on a Friday night. The staff was very welcoming, friendly, and prompt. Traditional Mexican (not Tex-Mex). Chips and salsa are served with homemade beans cooked with pork pieces. The fajitas were a VERY generous portion. The leftover chicken, onions, and peppers from the fajita pan completely filled the standard large square (9") take out box.
