We were in Atoka tonight and wanted Mexican food and decided to try some place new (new for us). The waiters and hostess were all very friendly and the service was fast. The restaurant was very clean and the bathroom was both clean and stocked. The dip we had which was a combination of bean dip and cheese dip was very yummy and the portion was perfect. The enchiladas and the shrimp quesadilla were both very good. The rice and beans did not have a lot of flavor but, that could just be my taste. We would definitely go back again. read more

I've been back 4 times since my initial review and have tried something different each time. Nothing has changed, the place is still top notch. I did have a less than satisfactory tamale but it's hard to find a really good, fresh tamale anywhere since they're not usually top sellers. I highly recommend the Chile Rellano. I have been to Los Alebrijes about three times,each time I've been I have yet to be disappointed. My husband loved it so much on our last visit that he finished his "Floating Tacos"(which he said was delicious) so quick that he asked for the menu again to order more food He ordered the "Super Chimichanga" which was huge and very overly stuffed.He said that was absolutely delicious! I ordered my same "Carnes En Su Jugo"which is a very flavorful authentic broth filled with all kinds of "yum yum".Listen we were so greedy that we didn't take pictures but trust and believe all visits were fabulous! The atmosphere here is awesome! When you come here a couple of times you will notice the staff remembers you and always greet you with a smile. These other reviews were misleading to me. I have tried true Mexican food and two small burritos with a mountain of lettuce and sour cream on top is not it. I was disappointed when the meat for the soup I wanted they didn't have. I usually start judging a restaurant by the horchata (Mexican drink) the drink was very thin and I've had better. Unfortunately I have to downgrade this review from the last time I rated it. I revisited and had lunch with a good friend at this location and ordered the same salad I had on my first visit... I was very disappointed...it was supposed to be a taco "salad" of which it hardly had any lettuce or tomatoes, and didn't provide any cheddar cheese either. My friend was not pleased with her meal. I hope they regroup and provide the same quality of food and service as when they first opened. I will give them another try a few months or a year from now and see if they improve or not...to be continued. read more

Had lunch today and it was magnificent. They season perfectly and quite reasonable. The service was very good and quick. The guacamole mexicana was over the top. I had the fajita quesadilla and my don had the pork sandwich and he said the bread was terrific and the pork was seasoned perfectly. We will be back. read more

I'm not trying to be rude by only putting a two stars but there is a good reason. The restaurant has in my opinion small portions. The two stuffed peppers where small and so were the burritos. I could compare this to Taco Bell. The al pastor I'm pretty sure wasn't al pastor in the burrito. This sure isn't real Mexican food. read more

We found a gem of a place. The food, the people and the location are all great. I am a picky eater and found this place to be able to accommodate my cravings for mexican food without all the fluff. We have been several times and have never been disappointed. My favorite item is the Chimichanga with the mixed meats and covered in cheese sauce. I have not been disappointed with this at all. My husband likes to get the Chili Relleno, Torta or Buritto. The owners are super nice and helpful when trying to figure out what to eat. They have a few new items and since we have not heard of the meats before, they brought us a sample to try. OMG, they are opening us to enjoy new foods since they are so good. I was seated by Armando, who is terrific, and who willingly answered all of my questions about dishes that come from his familiy's home in Guadalajara.
